Fort St James CYJM in British Columbia Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Fort St James is a small town of around 1,600 folks at the southeastern end of Stuart Lake, at the head of the Stuart River, and around 360 miles north of Vancouver and 220 miles inland from the coast. It was a long-established trading post for furs, with a permanent presence there from 1806 onwards. The airfield is 3 miles south of the town and is called "Fort St James (Perison)" in the Nav Canada listings. I presume that this is part of their trend towards calling airfields by their location rather than by their name. Makes sense as it is difficult to find information by searching for an airfield that is listed under a name you don't know. The field has an asphalt runway of 4,000 feet aligned 10-28 and at 2,364 feet ASL. There is no lighting. The main user of the airfield is Interior Helicopters Ltd. who are based there as operators, and at Williams Lake as helicopter dealers. For the AI helicopters, there is a screenshot (01) of the AS350 helicopter installation folder when it has been transformed into an AI helicopter. The process is to download and install the Ecuriel AS 350, along with the additional textures, as normal; this is straightforward. Then you download the software shown in screenshot 02 and add it as instructed and as shown in 01 so that the helicopter now operates as AI, with a different air file and a modified config file. I should have included this with the Pemberton post. I have posted this as Fort St James CYJM, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields" and avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Up to you. If you find a defect, email me.

Pacific Western AI Aardvark Boeing 737-200 Download

File Description:
Pacific Western, repaint for the AI_Aardvark 737-200. By RotorRick Deckard. Freeware, textures only, requires AI_Aardvark 737-200 basepack. Pacific Western was a Canadian airline based in the western provinces, back when I was growing up, and I saw their planes all the time. They merged into CP Air, which turned into Canadian Airlines when they also took Wardair. And Canadian Airlines exists no longer either, having been absorbed by Air Canada, many of their staff were let go, and less desirable planes sold off to discount airlines. Pacific Western, in parnership with Boeing, pionered a modification to the 737-200 that enabled it to land on gravel runways! Yes, no joke, with several of the destination runways up near the arctic circle, these runways wouldn't survive the ground temperature changes if they were more common paved or concrete runways. Anyway, I don't know many details, but I do know it involved a large beaver board attached to the rear of the nosegear wheels (which looks very much like that on the Antarctic mission C-130's the US uses to support missions down under), and vortex generators to blow in front of the engines on landing. This is all done to keep the low slung engines from ingesting any FOD. Since that time, such strips are more commonly visited by the Boeing 727, which has it's engines better protected and is generally more suited to such special purposes. See here for more info: http://airlines.afriqonline.com/airlines/205.htm http://www.airtimes.com/cgat/ca/pwa.htm This airline has operated the 707, Lockheed C-130 Hercules (actually L-100 variant), 767-200 and many other planes, but they were always primarily a 737-200 based airline.

Iris F-16D Viper Aerodynamic Performance Modification and Repaint Texture Package Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This performance modification and repaint texture package is for the IRIS "Pro Series" F-16D Viper. The performance modifications will upgrade ALL FOURTEEN (14) of your Iris F-16D/CFT models and make them fly like real F-16's! Think of this as an AWESOME tune-up job for your IRIS F-16D's...you'll be amazed at how GREAT your jets fly after this! Go from the runway to 40,000 feet in 90 seconds at Mach 1+, then reach a max Mach of 2.05. Go from 200-600 kts in under 30 sec. Pull 9g (sustained) turns in the CAT-1 jets and 7g turns in the CAT-3 jets. Perform precise aerobatic maneuvers and enjoy smooth "fly by wire"-like control! I also increased the internal fuel capacity to now hold 1,044 gallons (7,000lbs) like the real jet, and adjusted the weight and balance figures for the fuel and weapon loads. But I didn't stop there...I ALSO made a bunch of "visual" upgrades for the Iris F-16D/CFT jets as well! I repainted some of the "COMMON" texture files so now the buttons on the ICP pad look more used/worn, the Annunciator/Warning lights are now easier to read (ie, "MASTER CAUTION"), upgraded the ACESII ejection seat, reduced the amount of "pilot reflection" on the interior canopy glass in the "Virtual Cockpit" for a MUCH clearer view, painted pilot textures for either Desert Tan or OD Green flight suits (you choose!), PLUS repainted/upgraded the "LIVE" weapon textures and ALSO painted textures for "INERT" blue weapons (you choose!). The installation for both the "Aerodynamic Performance Modification" and the cockpit, pilot & weapon texture upgrades are quick and easy, and you'll find the installation instructions in those folders.

W90 - New London Airport - Virginia Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
New London Airport (FAA LID: W90) is a public-use airport located six miles (10 km) southwest of the central business district of Forest, a town in Bedford County, Virginia, United States. It is privately owned by Associated Wheels Inc. It is a public airport, but usually involves GA aircraft only. On Sundays during the summer and early fall, the runway is used as a dragstrip. Originally built in 1957 as a 1/4 mile dragstrip, airport operations were added in 1961 and the facility has served a dual-purpose since. Having been under the continued guidance of Rucker Tibbs, the airport changed hands in December 2005. Changes were made based on Google Maps. Created with Airport Design Editor by ScruffyDuck Software using current FAA documentation and Google Earth measurements, this package offers a replacement for FSX's stock airport. All these enhancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects and custom buildings.

KLZU - Gwinnett County Airport (Briscoe Field) | Lawrenceville, Georgia Download

File Description:
This is a modification of the stock Gwinnett County Airport (KLZU) AFCAD/BGL for Prepar3d v5.4. Almost the entire airport has been redone using library objects and generic building files in Prepar3d and matches pretty close to what is shown in Navigraph Charts. Aircraft parking around the airport has been randomized based off Google Maps images. Also included is an exclusion bgl to remove trees and flatten the scenery on the East side of the airport on taxiway Y which did not exist in Prepar3d. All taxiway names in the original airport were incorrect, this has been corrected. Taxi signage around the airport matches locations/intersections and additional signs have been added where they should have been to begin with. Control tower and wind socks have been relocated to where they are in real life and according to Navigraph. I hope you enjoy this scenery and look forward to sharing more in the future!

Pacific Airlines (Vietnam) 1998 AI Flightplans Download

File Description:
Pacific Airlines started with humble beginnings, a few 737s flying around Vietnam. In 1998, during the Asian Economic Crisis, the airline was operating with MD-80s from Taiwanese LCC U-Land Airlines, with a single aircraft wearing "Pacific Airlines" titles while the the rest of the flights were covered with planes in the standard U-Land livery. This is represented in these plans. Despite the humble beginnings, this airline went on to become Jetstar Pacific. Planes were swapped between Pacific Airlines and U-Land Airlines, so you will need both liveries for these plans. Please make a second aircraft.cfg entry for your U-Land MD-80 to make sure the aircraft used in these plans have the right callsign and parking codes. Links to textures here in the library are included. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson as part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. Follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/flightsim98. Morning Star Airport – Cape Town, South Africa Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Morning Star airport is situated just north of Cape Town, Next to the N7. A small GA airport with a nice view of Cape Town and Table Mountain and right under the runway 19 approach to FACT. I could not find any official code for the airport, so I called it FAMR. Though I could learn some new skills under the current lockdown, so this is my first attempt at combining most techniques for building an airport, including some hangers and the club house for images I found on the internet. Developed using the P3D V4.5 SDK and tested in P3D V5. Developed to be used with the ORBX OpenLC Africa LC product and I uesd some ORBX library objects. I included a small update to Robben Island to level the area where the prison is (not sure where it comes from but it is not located in the correct place) and to show the reamains of the old runways on the island.

Frozen rivers and lakes for winter ski operations along the Canada/USA border and Alaska Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This "freezes" lakes and rivers in a wide strip along both sides of the Canadian and US border and part of Alaska (and is reversible with a tick in the FS9 library) and can be landed on with skis or wheels for winter operations. The area covered is from east of Quebec City to west of Calgary and Edmonton, with an extension north to cover Hudson Bay, so from from 70 west to 100 west and 40 north to 56 north (65 north in the Hudson Bay area). This includes large parts of Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, and most of North Dakota and Montana, and the Alaska north shore and around Anchorage. This is really for use with Ultimate Terrain, though it will work without it. But as UT is what gets all the lakes and rivers there and in the right place it would be a shame not to be using UT.
