PACD - Cold Bay Airport - Alaska, USA

File Description:
Cold Bay Airport (IATA: CDB, ICAO: PACD, FAA LID: CDB) is a state owned, public use airport located in Cold Bay,a city in the Aleutians East Borough of the U.S. state of Alaska. First built as a United States Army Air Forces airfield during World War II, it is one of the main airports serving the Alaska Peninsula. There is a National Weather Service (NWS) office (which sends up radiosonde balloons twice a day) colocated with the FAA Flight Service Station at the airport. The NWS ranks Cold Bay as the cloudiest city in the United States. Changes were made based on 2011 construction plans and photos taken in 2013. Custom buildings were made for all services at the airport.

Wow! This ***MEGA*** cockpit gauge pack from Touch-Up Designs brings you a fantasmodical download, now being made exclusively available to AVSIM users totally free of charge. You will be unable to resist slobbering over the virtual unreality that this download brings to your aircraft. Did you fall for all that hype? Oh good. There really isn't a lot interesting to say about a boring set of cockpit switch gauges which are just a simple modification of one of the splendid CPT Toggles/Switches gauges by Jorge Salas with added individual labelling for each switch (on a transparent background) - absolutely ideal for the lazy panel designer. Should work with FS2002, FS2004 and FSX, although I have no plans to test it with the latter. Incidentally, every download automatically grants you free membership of the LPDS - you can see how many there are in that society by looking at the total number of downloads below. Broadband users are requested not to blink during the download. Guaranteed 0.00001% realistic.

File Description: What I miss the most into a lot of FS Aircraft is the smart "click" of the switches. That's the reason of this gauge. It works with most of the switches of the default FS airplanes, but also with most of add-ons (free or pay) that use default xml code. You will hear a nice "click" for battery, gen, avionics, lights, pitot, etc... But also a small "tictictic" when selecting VOR/NDB direction, a big "clang" when putting the parking brake, and a light "sblug" when selecting a fuel tank. The sounds are suitable for general aviation airplane, like C172, Baron, Beaver that have metal switches. Not suitable for jetliners. By Daniel Gauthier.
