A collection of about 60 small airfields in Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia & Montenegro, many of which aren't featured in FS2004, each enhanced with taxiways, parking spaces, buildings etc. and aprons as appropriate, to fill in a few gaps to the east of Italy. Most of these airfields are relatively "rural", often little more than a shed and a grass runway in a field, but they allow the generation of lightweight GA AI traffic in this area and into the adjacent countries.Again, there's no photo-realism here, just a selection of basic 'generic' buildings, more or less accurately sized and placed to reflect the airfield layout as seen on on-line satellite imagery and aerial photography. These buildings have minimal effect on frame-rates, so are ideal for this kind of job. The airfields are aligned as well as possible with the default roads etc. and the Genesis Europe mesh, but should mostly be fine in a default installation or other configuration.As before, the files for each airfield can be easily identified by the ICAO code, even if the airfield names vary slightly, so you can pick and choose and mix and match to suit any sceneries you already have, should you so wish. There is no requirement for any other download. Each airfield will exist as a stand-alone entity should you only want a few of them. A few default airfields have had new ICAO codes allocated, in these instances I've provided files to remove the default scenery from the landscape, though the original airfield will still appear on the maps and menu.

FSX Boeing 747-8i Delta Northwest with advanced VC by Alejandro Rojas Lucena and VC Texture Upgrade by Enrique Cornejo. This gives the b747 a payware Virtual Cockpit look! It even has a pilot jacket hanged in the rear of the cockpit (besides the right jumpseat). The panel.cfg and the aircraft.cfg have been assembled and edited by the Flightsim Workshop Team. Now you can pop up "My icons" window in the Virtual Cockpit to easily reach the following windows: GPS, avionics, map, ATC, Climb/Radio Altimeter/Spoiler switch, auto-break switch, throttle quadrant, clock, descentometer, kneeboard and overhead panel. The aircraft has new engine views (from both wings) and new Virtual Cockpit interior views from the left, right and central jump seats. The Delta Northwest texture is wonderful and it has a unique paintscheme by Mcphat Studios with a repaint by Enrique Cornejo which also includes details such as some stains caused by humidity and other details just like a real aircraft. This aircraft uses the Project Opensky FSX Boeing B747-800 Model OSX748V4_GENX(MDL), and includes the gauge window Posky Utility to view the main stairs, ground cargo servicing, etc. The engine sounds are edited like the real ones with cockpit ambient, so you can enjoy a pleasant flight. The Flight Management Computer (FMC) is fixed and looks like a payware instrument. The VC includes FMC, Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MDF) displayed in the correct size. The virtual cockpit also has an Engine-Indicating and Crew-Alerting System also known as EICAS, Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS), working wipers, cabin lights, fire suppression, avionics switch, fuel crossfeed, and you can identify those intruments in the overhead panel because they are bordered with color lines. You can also find landing lights switches, taxi light switch, engine generators, APU generator, battery switch, starter switches, de-ice switch, general lights switches which are a great work of Alejandro. So now the whole cockpit and texture upgrade with all these improvements looks better than a payware version. The clock numbers are now in orange which makes them look better and easily recognizable. Boeing B-17G 91st BG (OR-R) 'Nine O Nine' Download

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G-30-BO 'Nine o nine". Nine-O-Nine was a Boeing B-17G-30-BO Flying Fortress heavy bomber, of the 323rd Bomb Squadron, 91st Bomb Group, that completed 140 combat missions during World War II, believed to be the Eighth Air Force record for most missions, without loss to the crews that flew it. The original aircraft, a block 30 B-17G manufactured by Boeing, was nicknamed after the last three digits of her serial number: 42-31909. Nine-0-Nine was added to the USAAF inventory on December 15, 1943, and flown overseas on February 5, 1944. After depot modifications, she was delivered to the 91st BG at RAF Bassingbourn, England, on February 24, 1944, as a replacement aircraft, one of the last B-17s received in factory-applied camouflage paint. A former navigator of the 91st BG, Marion Havelaar, reported in his history of the group that Nine-O-Nine completed either 126 or 132 consecutive missions without aborting for mechanical reasons, also believed to be a record. M/Sgt. Rollin L. Davis, maintenance line chief of the bomber, received the Bronze Star for his role in achieving the record. Her first bombing raid was on Augsburg, Germany, on February 25, 1944. She made 18 bombing raids on Berlin. In all she flew 1,129 hours and dropped 562,000 pounds of bombs. She had 21 engine changes, four wing panel changes, 15 main gas tank changes, and 18 changes of Tokyo tanks (long-range fuel tanks). After the hostilities ceased in Europe, Nine-O-Nine was returned to the United States on June 8, 1945, and was consigned to the RFC facility at Kingman, Arizona on December 7, 1945, and eventually scrapped. B-17G-85-DL, 44-83575, civil registration N93012, owned and flown by The Collings Foundation, Stow, Massachusetts, flew marked as the historic Nine-O-Nine until its crash on the 2nd of October 2019. RAF Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX, French 340 & 345 Squadron Download

This packet includes two repaints of the Supermarine Spitfire IX, of Royal Air Force, which were flown by French airman in the following 2 squadrons:

No. 340 Squadron was formed on 7 November 1941 at Turnhouse as a Free French fighter squadron equipped with Spitfires. In April 1944 it joined No.145 Wing, Second Tactical Air Force, a wing made up of French fighter squadrons. The squadron served with the occupation forces in Germany, before on 25 November 1945 being transferred to the Armee de l'Air.

The aircraft: serial BS392, code GW-S, was flown by S/Ldr Bernard Duperier, Duperier flew this Spitfire only rarely in the period from October 25 to November 7 1942.

No.345 (French) Squadron (GC II/2 'Berry') was formed on 12 February 1944 at Ayr, from French personnel transferred from North Africa. It served with 2nd Tactical Air Force, taking part in the liberation of Europe in 1944-45. After the war the squadron remained on the continent, and on 21 November 1945 it was transferred to the Armee de l'Air. Even in RAF service, French roundels were used.

The aircraft: serial PT766, code, 2Y-A, was flown by Jean-Marie Accart, known under Nom-de-Guerre 'Bernard', became famous during the campaign in France in 1940. He commanded GC 1/5 and is credited with 12 German aircraft destroyed.

The Realair repaintkit was used for making this repaint. The following items were done extra:
- Redone all stencils and added lots more, so far i could find information and pictures on the internet;
- Pilot is repainted completely;
- Redone some bump-maps for some more detail (with RealAir approval);
- Several textures are now HD, 2048x2048 pixel for more detail;
- Improvement of the some details.

EPGO Goraszka 2010 - The Airshow Challenge is a freeware, extremely detailed scenery of a general aviation airport located 12nm (20km) south-east of Warsaw downtown and Warsaw Frederic Chopin International Airport, Poland. EPGO Goraszka airfield was built in 1994 and currently belongs to General Aviation company, which offers aero-taxi flights, air transport and special flights (air photo, patrol) and airport services. The airport has a 800m-long runway and a lightened helipad, which can be used by helicopters up to 5700kg weight. General Aviation's fleet includes Antonov AN-2, PZL-104 Wilga 80, Bell 407 and 427. Since 1996 the International Air Picnic Goraszka is organized every year by "Polish Eagles" Foundation created on initiative of Zbigniew Niemczycki.

The scenery is equipped with an automatic installer. Currently we support a safe, manual way of adding new sceneries to Scenery Library in Flight Simulator. This is just one thing users need to do for themselves. Detailed instructions will be given during the installation process.

Fort Nelson CYYE in British Columbia, Canada Download

Fort Nelson is close to the Peace River in the northeast corner of British Columbia, around 70 miles from the northern border, 90 from the eastern border, and 80 miles east of the Rockies. The wartime construction of the Alaska Highway actually started from Fort Nelson, as there was already a road from Fort St John (which is close to Dawson Creek) north to Fort Nelson. The airfield was part of this construction effort and after the wartime ferrying of planes to Russia it was used by the US Army Air Force and then by the Canadian Air Force. Fort Nelson flourished with the oil and gas exploration of the 1950's and the following years, and this continued to grow until the collapse of the oil price in 2014. The town of Fort Nelson became the capital of the Northern Rockies Regional District when it was founded in 2009, and as a result the official name of the Fort Nelson airport is the Northern Rockies Regional Airport. The date for this scenery is around 2016, by which time the economic fortunes of the town were in decline. Five times per day flights by Central Mountain Air were starting to be reduced in number to the current (in 2022) one per day and none on Sunday; in the AI included here there are two flights per day. The main resident users of the airport are four helicopter companies, the helicopters presumably used for maintenance trips to whatever parts of the oil and gas fields that are still in use in the surrounding area. There are two runways, the main one is aligned 03-21, 6,400 feet long and 200 feet wide, with ILS at the southern end and PAPI at the northern. The second runway (a narrower rebuild on a previously existing runway) is aligned 07-25 and 77 feet wide, and is without any lights. These are the alignments as per the original build of FS9 and not as per the approximate 2016 date of the buildings; I had a problem at a very late stage in making this scenery which prevented me from continuing with some final details. On YouTube there is a series of posts by Angle of Attack showing the preparation and then the flight of an old Cessna 172 from Homer to Oshkosh for the installation of modern instruments. Interesting for me as they visit or fly over airfields I have made (Homer, Merrill, Tok Junction, Burwash, Silver City, Haines Junction, Watson Lake, Fort Nelson, and Grande Prairie) but in the winter so it all looks very different.

Bethel PABE in southwest Alaska Download

There are four main northwestern Alaska towns which have good airports and are serviced by Alaska Airlines. From these airports local flights connect to nearby villages, "nearby" in Alaska meaning up to 200 miles away. The northernmost is Barrow. Southwest of Barrow is Kotzebue, then Nome, and the furthest south is this one, Bethel. The town of Bethel has a population of just over 6,000 and is 50 miles from the sea on the Kuskowim River, that splits and forks into many tributaries. Bethel Airport is close to the town and provides the only contact with the rest of Alaska, as there is no connecting highway system. There are scheduled flights by Alaska Airlines, ERA (now called Ravn) and Grant Aviation, plus others such as Ryan Air. There are cargo flights by Everts, Northern, and Lynden, and redistribution onwards to nearby villages by the smaller locally-based planes; all of these are included in the AI. There are two main runways, one just under 6,400 feet and another just under 3,900 feet, both of them aligned 19-1. The third runway is around 1,800 feet and mainly gravel, aligned 11-29. Parking at PABE is on three aprons, the northern for smaller commercial planes of Grant, ERA, Ryan etc, the central for larger planes of Alaska, Northern, Everts, and Lynden, and the southern for a large collection of GA; each apron has further hangars for maintenance companies and smaller operators. There is also another separate apron for the local military and Coastguard. There is not much photographic information available for PABE, and I have never been there; as a result it was impossible to make detailed photographic textures for some of the buildings. However, for most hangars I have made textures of at least the right colour etc based on the information I assembled and if it is green with white trim and side windows then that is how it now appears here. The exceptions are the Alaska Airlines terminal building which has complicated curved elements, and the two military hangars and workshops where I had to settle for an Alaska terminal building from another airport and the same for the military. There are numerous small villages in the vicinity of Bethel, all of them being beside either a river tributary or the coast. There are two Google Earth screenshots to show the villages that are served by the flights from Bethel and that are (mostly) included in the AI. Some of these airfields were not included in FS9 but AI will still operate in and out of Bethel. The smaller area screenshot shows the villages that are close to Bethel, and of these eight I have so far made six and they are included in this post: Napaskiak PKA, Napakiak WNA, Kwethluk KWT, Atmautluak 4A2, Nunapitchuk 16A, and Kasigluk Z09. I will work my way through the rest of the area.

RNAS Henstridge (HMS Dipper) Download

File Description:
Royal Naval Air Station Henstridge or RNAS Henstridge (HMS Dipper) is a former Fleet Air Arm base located 7 miles (11 km) west of Shaftesbury, Dorset (Now Somerset) and 12.4 miles (20.0 km) east of Yeovil, Somerset in South West England.

The main part of the land (355 acres) was purchased in August 1941, after which building of the airfield and the marsh lane accommodation site commenced, it was commissioned on April 1, 1943 as HMS Dipper, principally as number 2 naval fighter school, on the 11th September 1942, another 18 acres was acquired at the adjoining gibbs marsh area for an aircraft repair and maintenance site. The design and lay-out of the airfield was quite unique, having 5 runways, 2 of these being east west lay-out (07-25) both 1000 yards long, the northern runway incorporated a dummy deck landing strip, complete with under-ground arresting gear with four above ground arrestor wires, which was a duplicate of that installed on HMS Implacable for training of aircraft carrier landings, these mainly being carried out with the Seafire, a naval version of the spitfire with folding wings. The site also had its own cinema and stage hall

March 1952 the airfield became inactive and was placed under care and maintenance, during 1953 Air whaling (now Bristow group) used the facilities for repairs to the whaling fleet of helicopters until moving out in June 1958.June 1957 it was finally closed as a naval establishment, from 1958-1960 the entire site was sold off. 27 June 1980 the BBC purchased the whole site and applied for planning permission to erect at the airfield a shortwave radio station consisting of 21 self-supporting towers holding aerial arrays and ancillary buildings on a 300-acre site. The station would transmit overseas radio services to Eastern Europe, the Soviet Union and perhaps South America the application failed and the BBC sold the land during January 1987 The airfield is also the home of the wessex strut, a general aviation club formed in January 1977, which holds an annual fly in and other events their first fly-in was on 17 April 1977 and attracted 107 aircraft. As of today the only usable runway is the north 07-25 runway, extant with the concrete dummy deck, and the underground machinery chamber, it is also the home to a large number of light aviation enthusiasts aircraft as well as the Yakolevs aerobatic display team and the Dorset and Somerset air ambulance

The current airfield is operated by EGHS and is an unlicensed airfield. The only usable runway is 07/25 tarmac/concrete 750 mts long x 6 mtr wide. Henstridge radio can be contacted on 130.250 MHz, it can be found at the south eastern stub of the Yeovilton MATZ
