|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
JetBlue Airways (aka jetBlue), founded in 1998 as "NewAir", is the sixth largest airline in the United States by passengers carried and is a major American low cost airline. It is based on Long Island New York in the borough of Queens, but also has offices in Utah and Florida. Its primary hub is in New York's JFK Airport, and is the whole of Terminal 5. It also has hubs in Boston, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando and Long Beach CA. JetBlue operates a fleet of 60 Embraer E190's and was a launch customer for the E190. This specific airframe, registration N329JB, bears the slogan "My Other Ride Is a JetBlue A320". The complement aircraft in JetBlue's fleet is an A320-232 reg N793JB bearing "My Other Ride is A JetBlue E190" on the forward fuselage. In the last year, this E190 was the first in the jetBlue E190 fleet to wear the "HighRise" tailfin. The HighRise tailfin represents the New York City skyline and is quite striking. This aircraft is msn 433 and was delivered to jetBlue in 2011. The repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps for best clarity and quality. This is the Version 3 model of the FeelThere Embraer 190. You must own a copy of the Feelthere E-JETS E170 and E190 V3 to enjoy this repaint.

| Mesolonghi Airport - Rio-Antirio Bridge - Greece ** UPDATED VERSION ** |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
These are actually two sceneries offered in one pack. I started building the small airport of Mesolonghi in Western Greece. When nearing completion, I thought that FS was really missing the big suspension Bridge that connects mainland Greece with Peloponese that was finished in 2004, being the biggest in the world of the fully suspended type. The bridge project turned out bigger than the airport as I ended up doing the typical, Greek-style double ended ferries that served the straights for decades before the bridge and still offer a cheaper and, to some, more relaxing alternative.
Mesolonghi airport is situated 5 kilometers east of the historic city of Mesolonghi and is close to the technical school of fisheries. There is no ICAO code (ZZZZ) so I had to give it the fictional LGME in the sim. A purely day field, it houses the local Aeroclub and ultralight school. due to its small size and hospitable atmoshpere, it is a popular GA pilots destination, receiving also often international arrivals. The runway is asphalt and 800m (2635') in length. No PAPI or VASI are provided. There is no tower service and unicom frequency of 119.7MHz is used by the traffic. Closest controlled airport is Araxos (LGRX), a civil and military field, quite common in Greece, 12.5 nautical miles S-SE. The nearby city of Mesolonghi is famous for its heroic resistance and fall in 1826 during the Greek war of indepence. It is also famous for its fishery production, due to the natural lagoon, formed by the shallow waters.
Features of the Mesolonghi airport scenery include:
- Photoreal area with seasonal variations and watermask.
- Custom hangars and containerised buidings.
- AI default trike performing TnGs (in P3D it will work only if you copy over the FSX trike).
- The technical shool of fisheries on the north side.
- Customized shorelines, to fit with ORBX Global Vector.
- Optional shoreline fix for default scenery.
The Rio-Antirio bridge is located 14.5 nautical miles to the east of the airport. It connects the towns of Rio on the south side and Antirio on the north side. More data on the bridge can be found on Wikipedia.
Features of the Rio-Antirio bridge scenery include:
- Custom bridge model, bump mapped textures with hard platform surface and vehicle traffic.
- Night lighting textures and custom roadlights.
- Photoreal scenery for north and south shores, including hand placed autogen and night textures.
- Custom castle models on north and south sides, with bump mapped textures and night lighting.
- Custom model of the toll post on the north side.
- Custom AI ferry boats with constant shuttle service between Rio and Antirion piers.
- Customized shorelines, to fit with ORBX Global Vector.
- Optional shoreline fix for default scenery.
- Optional HDR optimized photoreal textures.

File Description:
Pan American World Airways livery for the A2A COTS L049 Constellation. These textures will also work in FSX.
Pan American World Airways, known from its founding until 1950 as Pan American Airways[1] and commonly known as Pan Am, was the principal and largest international air carrier in the United States from 1927 until its collapse on December 4, 1991. Founded in 1927 as a scheduled air mail and passenger service operating between Key West, Florida, and Havana, Cuba, the airline became a major company credited with many innovations that shaped the international airline industry, including the widespread use of jet aircraft, jumbo jets, and computerized reservation systems. It was also a founding member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the global airline industry association.[3] Identified by its blue globe logo ("The Blue Meatball"), the use of the word "Clipper" in aircraft names and call signs, and the white pilot uniform caps, the airline was a cultural icon of the 20th century. In an era dominated by flag carriers that were wholly or majority government-owned, it was also the unofficial overseas flag carrier of the United States. During most of the jet era, Pan Am's flagship terminal was the Worldport located at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City.(Source: Wikipedia)

| Continental Micronesia 1998 AI Package |
|
File Description:
Continental Mircronesia was Continental's Guam-based Pacific operation. In 1998, CMI had 3 747-200s and 16 727s (10 pax+ 6 flying DHL cargo), and was also using 4 Continental 757s to cover routes from GUM. The 747s mostly fly between NRT/GUM/HNL and spend their down time at the HNL maintenance base, but they also flew charters to OKJ and SDJ which are represented in these plans. The 727s fly all over the Pacific, serving most every large city in Japan as well as TPE, CNS, and the 7-stop GUM-HNL "milk run", flown twice weekly. The cargo plans for the 727s are representitive and also serve much the the Pacific reaching as far as Australia. I created arrival and departure banks most days so the planes often arrive back to GUM in the middle of the night around the same time. The "Micronesia" titles were removed from the last DC-10-30 in March 1998, after which time all DC-10s wore the standard Continental livery as did the 757-200s while using the CMI codes and callsigns. Currently, there is no Continental Micronesia DC-10 AI paint, but links to all relevant paints are included as well as Ranmori Scythe's FAIB 747-200 PW texture. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. | RPLC - Diosdado Macapagal International Clark International, Philippines |
|
File Description:
This Afcad/AFD for RPLC - Diosdad Macapagal International Airport (previously Clark International Airport and Clark AFB) in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines was made with ADE V1.37 and is for the default RPLC airport in FSX.
Diosdado Macapagal International Airport is currently a significant low cost carrier and UPS hub for the Philippines and is under development - ultimately intended to replace Ninoy Aquino Airport, Manila (RPLL) as the Premier Gateway to the Philippines. Domestic traffic is currently limited to Cebu Pacific and South East Asian Airlines. The airport handles international traffic - AirAsia, Asiana, Tiger Airways, Hong Kong Express, Hong Kong Airlines and Transglobal - including their recently launched flights to Dhaka and Fujairah - as well as international flights for Asian Spirit to and from Seoul. Cargo use includes a very significant UPS hub, Yangtze River Express, Transglobal and Pacific East Asia Cargo Airlines. Philippine Air Force C-130's are also frequent visitors.
Aprons and taxiways have been changed as needed, additional cargo and airline specific maintenance aprons added, taxiways surfaced correctly, gates and parking spaces coded for airlines and aircraft types using the airport. Many buildings have been changed to be more representative of the real thing. The default airport lacks coding and sees little of the actual traffic coming to RPLC. Use of this file increases traffic and places them where they should park. Tested with WOAI, MAIW's Exotic Alberts Package Philippines Part 1 and custom AI.

| EVVA Ventspils International, Latvia |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Googly scenery for Ventspils International - Latvia's third largest commercial airport
(try not to laugh!) although no facilities other than a runway are provided in Flight
Simulator 2004. These scenery files add taxiways, aprons, buildings and other airport
features, so that you and your "AI" traffic can land, taxi, park and take off in a
realistic manner.
The airport serves the city of Ventspils in northwest Latvia and opened as recently
as 1975. Owing to changes in the political situation, operations ceased in 1983 but
it re-opened in 2000. At present, it is unclear which operators serve the airport
- Air Baltic is the claimed contender but there is no evidence in their advertised
schedules. It is believed that occasional flights are operated to St Petersburg and
Moscow by Russian operators but information is hard to come by. Nevertheless, the
airport's own web site (http://www.airport.ventspils.lv/) has figures showing the
increasing numbers of passengers passing through the airport, so something must
call here! The airport also sees a respectable amount of General Aviation activity
and AVGAS has recently been made available.
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite
imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added
airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look like the real thing. [File re-uploaded at request of AVSIM]

| HCMM - Mogadishu International Airport, Mogadishu/Petrella, Somalia |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Googly scenery for HCMM Mogadishu/Petrella, the capital airport of Somalia.
Astonishingly, in Flight Simulator 2004 this international airport is depicted as little
more than a runway! Whilst in the real world the airport can hardly be
described as busy, it is served by the country's sole airline - Jubba
Airways, with their wonderful Ilyushin IL-18, and many African and Eastern
European operators call by with cargo flights. In fact, the vast proportion of
the aircraft seen here are Russian-built.
These scenery files add aprons, taxiways, buildings and other airport features to Flight Simulator's limited representation and allow "AI" traffic to land, taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner. But do watch out for cars on the runway and taxiways as they
appear to be regularly used as a by-pass to the perils of driving through the city!
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite
imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added
airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing.
You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries,
but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine,
with or without. [File re-uploaded at request of AVSIM]

| Hana Heli-Obstacle Course v3.0 |
|
File Description:
Hana Airport is a regional airport of the State of Hawaii on the east shore of the island of Maui, 3 NM northwest of the unincorporated town of Hana. The airport covers 119 acres and has one runway. It is primarily a commuter facility used by unscheduled air taxis and general aviation. This scenery is intended as a single/multiplayer helicopter obstacle course where heli pilots can meet to compete, show off, and share their helo skills. Since birdseye (Timm Turner) already did a neat scenery called Hana_Scenery_PHHN (search for "hana" in the HoverControl Downloads), we decided to convert PHHN to a full helicopter training area. Makes a great place for helo pilots to gather to practice and perfect their skills, and challenge other pilots! And keep an eye-out for that Hot Air Balloon, cruising around an altitude of 3000 feet (don't forget to wave at them!).
Another unique thing about this scenery is the neighboring islands (Honolulu Intl/Hickam AFB, Bellows AFB, Lanai City, Kahului, Molokai, etc). If you get frustrated during your heli obstacle course training, just take a heading of 275 degrees, and relax at one of the neighboring islands. We also added an Easter Egg - If you set your FS calendar to July 21st, you'll see a large ridge fire up in the hills. Load Jordan Moore's Erickson S64E (http://www.hovercontrol.com/) & try your skills at water bombing!
