Fourth in a series of files for setting up helicopters and their repaints as AI aircraft. Set-up templates for four popular freeware choppers: Hughes 500D, Robinson R22 Beta II, Schweizer 300C, and Erickson S64E Aircrane. Includes sample AFCAD "heliports" and flight plans for Hawaiian Islands-hopping and two locations in Alaska. Flight behavior is approximated (!) with custom flight models. Requires additional downloads (see documentation).

File Description:
Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, 517th Airlift Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. This unit is slated to activate sometime in 2007, and begin operating the C-17. My thanks to Matthew Schweizer for giving his consent for me to use his (Mike Stone) model paint as a basis for my own conceptual paint of this aircraft. Additionally, I have included a small fix for my previous three paints for this model, the US Air Force lettering is now visible on both sides. This repaint utilized FSD's payware C-17 model which can be found on their website. This is an excellent aircraft, with lots of detail and flyability. Aircraft, base textures, and paint kit by FSD.

CFIT – Controlled Flight Into Terrain. This is how real-world pilots meet their end. Don’t let it happen to you. At this time of year the sun hardly makes it past the horizon any time of day. Another zero visibility landing with an unusual request from ATC. Who said IFR was easy? Not me!!

File Description:
Omni Air International started flying in 1997 with a pair of DC-10-30s while a 3rd was added in late 1998. The airline was operationally based in MSP, with LAS as a "focus city" where Omni maintains a strong presence to this day. OAI did all sorts of flying, from tour group/holiday package flights to LAS and HNL, to military charters(which often used HNL/DFW/PSM/FRA), to large group charters such as for college sports teams. There were also many re-positioning flights to get the aircraft to/from the next/last charter. I used to see them frequently at SFO, and obviously MSP. These representative plans are based on a combination of photos, what I remember seeing myself at the time, and information from a friend who was an Omni flight attendant at the time as to specific routes and happenings at the company in the late 1990s. Description:
These scenery files represent three airfields, Brooklands, Croydon, and Hendon situated around London, England in the Golden Age of aviation, between 1930 and 1940.
Brooklands, the oldest airfield in the UK, developed inside the classic banked oval motor race track opened in 1909, and was the birthplace of the British aviation industry and the starting point for a number of pioneering flights. Now sadly reduced, Brooklands holds an aviation museum and still operates as an airstrip.
Croydon was the pre-war London Airport for Transatlantic and Far Eastern flights, replaced in 1944 by london Heathrow, and now built over.
RAF Hendon was the venue for spectacular airshows before the war, was a crucial WWII airfield, and now holds the RAF museum and the Metropolitan Police training college.

File Description:
This upload is a scenery package for globe tile D200159, an area of Pennsylvania that contains Clearfield to the north, State College (roughly center), and Altoona to the southwest. The West Branch of the Susquehanna R. is N., large Raymond Lake is ENE of Altoona, and the Juniata R. is SSE. The uploaded scenery package includes four edited gxx.trn for Fly!2, which flatten most of the bodies of water in globe tile 200159. Border areas were not edited to avoid compatibility problems with bordering globe tiles. Also included are Terrascene 2.1 day and watermask tga files for segments 5,4 and 6,3 plus the corresponding render options file OHPA.trp, which specifies the textures you need to match my segments with those segments you render. For your convenience, I included my Terrascene project file PennSt.tsp. Note: you must use my segment 5,4 for Raymond Lake to be flattened. The globe tile was rendered with options set for subdivideDensity=8 and subdivideTolerance=500.
