| Alaskan Gold Mine Airstrips: Yankee Creek 2, Ganes Creek, & Ester Creek |
|
File Description:
3 very primative landing strips in Alaska that are all bumpy and/or on a slope. They're just west of McGrath in an area popular with gold hunters. Ganes Creek is surrounded by trees & a little on the short side but otherwise fairly easy. The Yankee Creek 2 strip is longer, but on a 6% slope with a camber at its upper end. Ester Creek is slightly steeper at 9% in gradient, but with a more open approach path. A set of Eddie Denney's mesh of Alaska is required because the airstrips are themselves part of the terrain: the scenery was designed using the FS2002 mesh but the FS2000 version should also work OK. Also requires Gerrish Gray's tree library (trees_v3.zip).

|

File Description:
The Honoring Those Who Serve plane is dedicated to the brave men and women of the US military, as well as veterans of the armed forces and their families. Its unique exterior paint scheme, conceived by a small group of Alaska maintenance technicians, was designed to symbolize remembrance, pride, and appreciation. The design includes a red stripe and blue aircraft body to incorporate elements of the American flag; the phrase "Honoring Those Who Serve," displayed on the fuselage; a symbolic crest representing the Alaska Airlines Fallen Soldier Program to the right of the cargo door; and an "Alaska Airlines Salutes" medallion on the right of the boarding door near the nose of the aircraft, with five stars representing the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. The special livery was created in partnership with Boeing and is featured on two aircraft; N570AS, a 737-800, and sister ship N265AK, a 737-900.
Model developed by Tenkuu Developers Studio, features high resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, rolling wheels, animated thrust reversers with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more. | Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 23 |
|
File Description:
This pack may seem like you are all alone most of the time up there wild yonder of Canada, Greenland and Iceland. The radio silence can be deafening! The Learjetâs position automatically tops off your tanks prior to departing the second leg. Hope you enjoy night flying cause the sun hardly makes it past the horizon. You will witness the most surprising sunrise yet. Is the sun misplaced in FS2004? Once you leave Sondestrom airport you will enjoy your next landing. With heavy rain at departure from BIPA you have an interesting landing at BIIS in Iceland. Did you abort your landing?

| Soaring From The Reese Center (ex-Reese AFB) Near Lubbock,TX |
|
File Description:
The Reese Center Soaring Assoc. (fictitious) uses some of the facilities at the Reese Center which is the old Reese AFB. A hanger for the Assoc has been built there and all runways are available to the Assoc for use. Most of the thermal activity is found west of the city of Lubbock but you may find one or two building up on the east side. But if you have previously installed the thermal scenery for "Thermal Thumbing to Kansas" and "West Texas Thermals", wow the soaring horizon opens even further, from Marfa,TX to Salina,KS.

| Resized Environment Map Texture |
|
File Description:
Replacement "Environment Map" texture (Envmap.bmp) for FS2004.
Envmap.bmp controls the reflection effect in "metallic" textures.
Texture was edited to remove the "spinning" effect, now the reflection is static.
With static reflection it is now "OK" to repaint interior textures (chrome, leather, plastic, glass etc.)
to make them more reflective, as the dizzying "spinning" effect is removed.
Texture was also repainted to make horizon reflection at more accurate height,
and its sky reflection in more vibrant color.
Now the metallic textures have blueish tint.
Texture was also resized from 256X256 to 128X128.
Smaller texture sizes improve framerate (FPS).
TEXTURE ONLY.

| Alaska Airlines 'Salmon-Thirty-Salmon' Boeing 737-400 |
|
File Description:
The "Salmon-Thirty-Salmon" special livery was painted to promote Alaska's
Seafood industry, and took 30 painters 24 days to complete. Although it didn't
take me nearly as long, the Alaska King Salmon is all hand painted, and the
fuselage textures are 32 bit for quality. The Fifty North 737-400 model is required.
