File Description:
The airline was formed in 1948 to undertake freight and passenger charters from Liverpool (Speke) Airport. It also provided joyriding flights in a fleet of twin-engined Avro Anson aircraft. The airline acquired a number of Douglas DC-3s in the early fifties to operate seasonal tourist charters and built-up a network of scheduled services from Liverpool including flights to continental European destinations (Lourdes, Biarritz). In 1957 the airline purchased the larger four-engined Douglas DC-4 with another example purchased in 1958. The first DC-4 charter was flown on 8 January, 1958 between Liverpool and Southend with football supporters. In 1959 the airline introduced the turbo-prop Vickers Viscount aircraft for use on inclusive tour flights. In November 1963 Starways signed a co-operation agreement with British Eagle International Airlines. Operations continued unchanged though, running schedules from Liverpool to Glasgow and Heathrow. However, on 31st December 1963 Starways ceased operating and on 1st January 1964 British Eagle took over all the former Starways routes. The directors of Starways retained the aircraft and formed a separate company named Aviation Overhauls and then either sold or leased the aircraft to other operators. Requires the default Douglas DC-3.

| Southern Cross Airport (C01), NJ |
|
File Description:
Located 03 miles SW of Williamstown, New Jersey on 18 acres of land, Southern Cross is a public turf airstrip with an ample 2400' runway. The runway is hard surfaced in order to allow for AI traffic to use this airport, however the end user must enable flights to arrive/depart from this airfield within their AI traffic program in order for AI to appear here. Tie down space is available north of Runway 09 and fuel is available at the tank next to the hangar. This airport is not lit at night so daytime VFR operations only are recommended. In addition to trees at the ends of both runways, power lines are strung up across there too.
Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person.
This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 004. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

These are DIAS AIR International Virtual Airlines (www.diasair.gr) fictional textures for the astonishing PMDG MD-11F addon for FS9!!!. Includes the registration SX-CCA named "TALOS".DIAS AIR is an international virtual company established in 2006, by an Airline Captain, Pilot Instructor and Examiner, only for very advanced members of the Flight Simmers Community. The organization utilises a sophisticated model for the simulation of the Economical & Technical environment of a real Aviation Company. Our pilot members are paid by an exclusive model using the "OCTANES" payment system, and not only! Our flight operations are global and cover all 5 continents. Our fleet includes 35 different types of aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator™. The dynamic site is updated on a daily basis. Our pilot ranks begin from Junior First Officer up to Senior Captain of the Company. We also use a private FORUM and a TeamSpeak Server for our member pilots. We operate only On-Line at our PRIVATE FS Server, at IVAO and VATSIM networks. Please note that in the screens you can see the upcoming Kerkyra MEGA Scenery by GAP (www.greekairportsproject.gr). | Los Angeles VTerminal (KLAX) 2009 V2 |
|
File Description:
UPDATE: After reports of people not getting the complete file, I have re-uploaded it. The problem was my program that I was using to zip the file. I have since changed programs and fixed the problem. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The LAX Vterminal was originally released to a select few virtual airlines and can now be yours. These were West Express, Atlantic Sun, Empora Virtual, City Bird, Arizona Pacific, and Family Virtual Airlines. The terminal contains three concourses, forty-three (43) gates, and eight overflow parking spots. Parking assignments have not been assigned to any of the gates, so you will need to go through and do so. The terminal was created by Michael Wood and Nick O'Dell. It was designed to fit the needs of virtual airlines, in order to return parking spots in the main terminal to their real world owners. This scenery is frame rate friendly, and will not take up a lot of space on your hard drive. Included in this file are AFCAD's for the default and OceanFlight scenery. Enjoy our scenery, and look for more scenery projects coming in the near future.

File Description:
This is a standalone program that allows you to change the terrain textures of outer terrain megatiles by applying altitude based rule changes. This means that the Editor allows you to do what FU3 does through the RULES.TXT file but in visual form and on a per tile basis. The Editor converts and displays l0xxxx.gtl files and their corresponding l5xxxx.geo elevation files to 512x512 bitmaps. It also displays useful information when moving the mouse across the main display, i.e. Min Alt, Max Alt, Alt Range, Alt Index, Texture and so on. The Index value is an altitude range corresponding to the 64 colours used to create the elevation bitmap and is useful when specifying Min Alt and Max Alt values for rule changes. You can apply up to 8 rule changes at a time (just repeat until you get the desired results), either to the entire tile or to a subsection defined as X and Y co-ordinates. The Editor displays X-origin and Y-origin values within the tile as an aid to this. You can use this with the default 13 textures or with my extended 26 textures.

| KLEX - Blue Grass Airport - Lexington, Kentucky |
|

File Description:
This airport update was made with the latest version of ADE (Airport Design Editor) and made for FSX as a replacement for the stock (default) airport. I've made several changes to the airport which are listed below. All these enchancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects. I've used satellite images, terminal photos and maps throughout the whole process so building locations are as accurate as possible. Happy landings in charming Kentucky!
Features:
*Expanded parking apron
*Taxiways properly desginated
*Runway 8/26 renamed to 9/27 and moved to correct location as FSX had it completely wrong, appropriate taxiways have been repositioned and/or removed as well as per latest airport diagram
*Completely redesigned main terminal building with accurate airline assigned gates
*Seperate parking areaa for GA traffic
*Misc airport buildings added
*Airport vehicles and objects throughout the airport
*Fuel tanks and vehicles
*Fire station and vehicles
*De-icing trucks
*Static aircraft
*Autogen removed from a few areas around the airport as several buildings were popping up on airport property and a few trees were too close to runway

File Description:
FSX Mesh South America Project:
This terrain mesh file is a part of a whole project covering all the Continent of South America and some islands, divided in tiles identified in a map by its column (letters) and rows (numbers).
Those files were multi-LOD compiled from 90m SRTM2 source data, reprocessed with 3DEM to remove voids and spikes, providing a 76.4m (LOD9) horizontal resolution topography intended for use only in FSX updated with SP1.
Although not well documented, to improve performance, the updated FSX loads DEM files in threads and only the closer terrain (about 5-10 NM from the point of view) is rendered in high detail, while at far distances FSX shows up its default low resolution mesh, when there is not a third part terrain mesh compiled in all
others intermediate level of details (multi-LOD).
