| FSX/P3D Aero Virgin Islands DC-3 1983 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-3 in Aero Virgin Islands colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Aero Virgin Islands began operations in the spring of 1977. The fleet was basically all DC-3s. Their route network consisted of flights to St. Thomas, and Saint Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and San Juan, in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico-based airline Prinair was the company’s main competitor until their bankruptcy in 1984. Prinair’s failure gave the opportunity for Aero Virgin to be more involved in the region. However, the airline faltered as its aging fleet of DC-3s got many problems, which led to them virtually being unusable. Then, the total destruction of the DC-3 fleet occurred when Hurricane Hugo struck in September 1989. This is a repaint of N28346, which was destroyed in that Hurricane. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested on P3D v3. It should also work on FSX & FSX-SE.

| Douglas DC-3 Val-U-Prop CargoLiner Plane and Panel |
|
File Description:
Val-U-Prop is a rogue airline based in Bloomington, Indiana, that flies everything from VIPs to sheep manure anyplace and anytime. VP's motto is "No job too small; No fee too large," and our DC-3's, DC-4's, DC-6's and DC-8's can be seen hedge-hopping into various obscure airports throughout the world. This aircraft is an all-aluminum re-paint of the fabulous DC-3 OH-LCH by Jan Visser, Erik Ellis, Roy Chaffin, Ian Roper and Bill Rambow, to which FS2002 lights have been added. It has military capability, including machine guns and NUCLEAR/GPS/JDAM guided bomb launch. Panel includes everything on main panel, except for GPS and (optional) default radios, so there is no tabbing. The very aluminal wing views were shot by Thomas Klein, and the vintage C-47 cabin was photographed by Tom Turner. Gauges by James Underwood, Ernie Kennedy and Dai Griffiths. A-bomb and machine guns by Chris Trotter. All of this brought to you by Val-U-Prop - http://home.bluemarble.net/~jcumus/index.html - where WE VAL-U-YOU!

| Ontario Small Fields in Canada: #7 Lucan CPS4 |

Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is the seventh in a series of small airfields in southern Ontario Canada, Lucan CPS4; plus revised AI and parking for #6 Nixon CNX8 to include a crop spray plane (the Grumman 164) which I have just identified from a photograph; plus a note re an addition required to the different crop spray aircraft (the AT802) config file so that it parks correctly at St Thomas CYQS.
Lucan is 15 miles north of London Ontario, and 20 miles southeast of Lake Huron. The airfield is the base for a small crop spraying business and has a grass runway of 3,100 feet aligned 09/27, and with lighting. The overhead cables that previously imposed a 550 feet threshold displacement on the runway 09 approach (up to and including 2010) have now been buried. The lighting is owner-controlled and cannot be turned on from the air. Fuel and oil is available. The crop spray plane is a Grumman G164A Ag-Cat, which was manufactured in the 1970's and remains in use with a lot of owner-operators.

|
File Description:
FS2004 SAAB 35XD Draken RDAF AR-116 , Repainted by Claus Vendelboe Holmberg. April 2006.
This package contains textures only in Danish green paint scheme livery, for FS2004 Saab J 35J Draken 2.41 full package by Thomas Nilsson/Bookmark Digital Graphics.
The Saab 35 Draken is a supersonic interceptor using a double delta wing. The first prototype of this aircraft flew late in 1955, entering production in 1957. The aircraft is a single-seat, single-engine configuration equipped with 30mm cannons and air-to-air Sidewinder missiles. It can operate from small airfields due to its high thrust-to-weight ratio and the fitment of a parachute to assist with braking. In all, over 600 Drakens were built, the last example taking to the air 1972. For Denmark the Saab 35XD was developed. Based on the J 35F but was upgraded with more internal fuel, stronger gear, arrester hook, improved avionics and cockpit layout, new weapon pylons which resulted in redesigned outer wings. Three versions were built from the Saab 35XD variant: Here a single seat fighter repainted in the liverie of "AR-116" Esk.729

| P51B #43-7061 'Old 7' |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the P-51B/C model for FSX by Warbirdsim. It shows 'Old 7', 43-7061, which was the pride and joy of the 2nd FS/52nd FG. It flew over 125 operational missions, amassing 778 flying hours and shot down at least 8 enemy aircraft, without suffering a single mechanical failure. It was lovingly maintained at first by S/Sgt Vincent Reagan, and later by S/Sgts James Lynes and C.G. Jones. By december 1944, it was the oldest aircraft in the 2nd FS, and it remained so. The officers and men of the 2nd FS were so proud of 'Old 7' that they tried to have her sent to the US for a warbond tour, but the Air Force was not interested. During its long career, it served as the regular mount for Capt. Arthur Johnston (who named it Marie and flew it as QP-M), Capt. William DeForest (when it was changed to Myrtle and QP-7) and Lt. Thomas Hoover, as well as several other pilots. Repaint by JanKees Blom, based on the warbirdsim paintkit.

File Description:
FS2002 Val-U-Prop Douglas DC-3 Plane and Panel
Val-U-Prop is a (fictional) rogue airline based in Bloomington, Indiana, that flies everything from VIPs to sheep manure anyplace and anytime. VP's motto is "No job too small; No fee too large," and our DC-3's and DC-6's can be seen hedge-hopping into various obscure airports throughout the USA. Based on the lovely DC-3 Pluna by Daniel Gazzano, this aircraft is a re-paint of the fabulous DC-3 OH-LCH by Jan Visser, Erik Ellis, Roy Chaffin, Ian Roper and Bill Rambow, to which FS2002 lights have been added. Panel includes everything on main panel, except for GPS, so there is no tabbing. (Default pop-up radio stack is also included.) Panel is based on photographs by Bill Blanchard (lower panel) and Shawn Clark (upper). The very aluminal wing views were shot by Thomas Andre Hjelmen, and the 1930s cabin was photographed by Ben Wang and is populated with various VIPs. Panel Package
Along with the modifications I've made to Greg Pepper's wonderful Albatross, I felt that a upgrade for the panel was overdue.
The changes consist of a revised set of primary flight instruments in keeping with the chronological period.
The airspeed gauge is part of Greg's gauge set that he provided with the aircraft.
The attitude gauge and turn indicator come from Jens Christensen's DC-6 gauge package.
The altimeter, gyro and vertical speed were designed by Scott Thomas from his Aero Commander 500 gauge package.
The Bendix King radios were designed by Pierre Fasseaux.
The KLN90 gps was designed by Ike Slack.
I've also included Rob Barendregt's Ground Handling package and the RKG Fuelstat gauge.
A few notes on using this panel:
Please read Pierre's instructions for proper operation of the autopilot before you fly.
The GPS will load the flight plan you specify from FS9.
There is a hot spot in the upper left corner of the radio stack that will close it when it isn't needed.
