| YCRW Crawley Bay, Western Australia, US Catalina Base - QANTAS base (Historic 1942) |
|
File Description:
YCRW Crawley Bay USAF Catalina Base - QANTAS base (Historic 1942). This location was where the famous double sunrise flights left for Lake Koggala in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) between 1943 and 1946. Suited to Rick Stone's PBY5A Catalina. The USAF used the north side of the point and QANTAS used what is now the boat ramp at Nedlands. Remember, Perth was only about two or three stories high in those days so for a realistic enactment, totally overload the aircraft (towards the front) and just point between the buildings until you gain some height. To cover the distance, cruise at about 110kts and 500 feet. Don't forget the passengers stand at the front on takeoff and can be seated after you are in the air. | Fascene Airport - Nosy Be Island, Madagascar |

File Description:
In Italy the poltical situation is very caotic! what is better of an exotic place for a time of relax? :-) With this scenery, I wanted to recreate as much as possible the area of the airport "Fascene" located in Nosy Be Island in Madagascar. To do it, i used the srtm mesh Madagsacar by Mr Jean laurent gabriel that you will find already in the scenery. If you have already installed these meshes need to remove them. The scenery, faithfully recreates the terminal, and therefore there is a generic airport using the Bgl Mr. Visan. for the rest, using the real video and real photo, I tried to recreate the atmosphere of the island, which is certainly very exciting to work with a landing jetliner. If so you're tired of the usual ILS landing in mega hub of Europe, a nice Visual land in Nosy Be, is for you!
Best regards from Italy by Fabio "Fafo Air" Ferrari

| RAF Manston 1944 |
|
File Description:
RAF Manston (ICAO EGMH)was an RAF station in the north-east of Kent, on the Isle of Thanet from 1916 until 1996. The site is now split between a commercial airport Kent International Airport (KIA) and a continuing military use by the Defence Fire Training and Development Centre (DFTDC), following on from a long-standing training facility for RAF firefighters at the Manston base.
Source: Wikipedia
I have represented it here in 1944 leading up to its part in Operation Market garden and D Day. It was one of the few airfields installed with the Fog Investigation Dispersal Organisation (FIDO) system designed to remove fog from airfields by burning it off with petrol and I have represented this with the 8 fuel tanks at the 29 end of the mail runway. I have laid the station out roughly according to an old map made in the mid 40s but I make no claims to the accuracy of building I have used.

| "Danish Livery" Embraer-505 Phenom 300 (OY-PWO) - Updated |
|

File Description:
This texture folder is being updated to add a "highlight" to the emergency window/door on the right side of the cabin. This was overlooked in the original texture folder. Rather than attempt to update a single file in the folder, I choose to provide a full replacement texture folder. This was a special request from one of our friends in Denmark with close ties to the actual aircraft. I do not know how to make the dull finish that we see in the photos and it is way above my head on how to put the registration number on the engine covers. This is as close as I can get to the real world edition but it may be better than nothing for some folks. This repaint is for FSX, P3D, and FSX:Steam. You will need the payware version of the Carenado EMB505 HD Phenom 300 installed to use this repaint. Enjoy.

| "Blue / White" Aero Commander Shrike (N5784R) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a new repaint for an old freeware Aero Commander Shrike - the work of the Milton Shupe Commander Team. I think Paul Sounders is listed as the developer, but several team members contributed lots and lots of hours. This was a native FS2004 model that someone ported over to FSX. The interior evidently did not get the same attention that the flight model and panel received. I asked Tom Tiedman, a fellow flight simmer, to update the interior for my personal taste and he did a great job in a matter of a few hours. You will notice the improvements when compared to the other texture files. You will need the FSX version of the Aero Commander Shrike that is not that easy to find but keep searching. The file I downloaded is ac500sv.zip (freeware). This is nothing fancy at all, just another repaint but a greatly improved interior. Thanks to TomT and I hope you enjoy the repaint.

File Description:
FSX Scenery - Monterey Regional Airport (IATA: MRY, ICAO: KMRY, FAA LID: MRY) is three miles (5 km) southeast of Monterey, in Monterey County, California, USA. It was created in 1936 and was known as the Monterey Peninsula Airport until the board of directors renamed it on September 14, 2011. The airport is owned by the several municipalities that make up the Monterey Peninsula Airport District. It is a public entity and its five-member board of directors is publicly elected. The airport has its origins with flights from the polo field of the Hotel Del Monte in 1910. In 1941, local communities formed the Monterey Peninsula Airport District and acquired land to build an airport. World War II intervened, and the U.S. Navy leased the land, opening Naval Auxiliary Air Station Monterey on May 23, 1943. The Navy remained at the airport until 1972. | RAF Snetterton Heath - Norfolk, England |
|
File Description:
RAF Snetterton Heath is a former Royal Air Force station located south east of the A11, 6 miles (9.7 km) south west of Attleborough, Norfolk, England.
RAF Snetterton Heath airfield was constructed in 1942 to Class-A specifications. Originally thirty-six hardstandings of the "frying pan" type were constructed as when work started, the base was intended for Royal Air Force (RAF) use. When re-scheduled for the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF), the number was increased to fifty, all of them being on the south and eastern side of the airfield as a railway line and the A11 road restricted dispersed locations.
With the end of military control Snetterton Heath was closed and privately purchased in 1952 with a view to utilizing the runways and perimeter tracks as a motor racing circuit. The first motor cycle meeting was held in 1953 and the first motor races the following year. Source: Wikipedia.

| FSX/P3D Aloha Airlines F-27 circa 1963 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint of the F-27 in Aloha Airlines colors. The freeware FSX/P3D F-27 by Bjorn Kesten is needed for this repaint. It was modifed using Mike Stone's F-27, and the Tom Gibson & Bernward Bockheim F-27 model.
The purchase of 3 F-27s was Aloha's first foray into the 'jet prop' world. The first F-27 was delivered on April 15, 1959, which was the same year that Hawaii became a state of the USA. The F-27s were well liked by the passengers, which were obviously smoother and faster than the DC-3s they sunsequently replaced. This F-27, N5098A, was with Aloha from 1960 to 1967, which was the year that all the F-27s were themselves retired. Be aware that this is an FSX/P3D version and will not work on FS2004. Textures are DXT5. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX, & P3D v1-4.

| Tupolev Tu-95 Bear |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The Tupolev Tu-95 (Russian: Туполев Ту-95; NATO reporting name: "Bear") is a large, four-engine turboprop-powered strategic bomber and missile platform. First flown in 1952, the Tu-95 entered service with the Soviet Union in 1956 and is expected to serve the Russian Aerospace Forces until at least 2040.[1] A development of the bomber for maritime patrol is designated Tu-142, while a passenger airliner derivative was called Tu-114.
The aircraft has four Kuznetsov NK-12 engines with contra-rotating propellers. It is the only propeller-powered strategic bomber still in operational use today. The Tu-95 is one of the loudest military aircraft, particularly because the tips of the propeller blades move faster than the speed of sound.[2] Its distinctive swept-back wings are set at an angle of 35°. The Tu-95 is unique as a propeller-driven aircraft with swept wings that has been built in large numbers.
