CYFB - Iqaluit Airport - Nunavut, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Iqaluit is the capital of Nunavut, a vast northern region that covers almost all of the Canadian North. The airport is of critical importance to the community, especially when ice makes boat travel impossible.

The scenery includes all airport buildings with custom designed and generic buildings nearby. Several typical airlines are represented, both by their flights by their facilities, including First Air, Canadian North, Air Greenland, Ken Borek Air and Keewatin. The Airbus A380 was in Iqaluit in February 2006 for flight testing in cold weather, as do other manufacturers. Airbus will also carry out the same tests for its new A350.

CYFB is also a Canadian Force base. Several units are parked in the military area, in addition to the C- 177 and his escort on ramp 2. A Twin Otter from the RCMP, and some general aviation aircrafts complement the fleet. Six ships are in the scenery: four static and two mobile (AI). Zodiacs and a balloon tourist flow into the bay. These, and the ships AI, start their movements 1100Z. The weather station launches a weather balloon regularly. Three small caribou herds are in the vicinity.

Grumman Albatross version 2.1 Panel Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
FS2004 Grumman Albatross HU-16 version 2.1 Greg Pepper Michael Verlin Panel Package Along with the modifications I've made to Greg Pepper's wonderful Albatross, I felt that a upgrade for the panel was overdue. The changes consist of a revised set of primary flight instruments in keeping with the chronological period. The airspeed gauge is part of Greg's gauge set that he provided with the aircraft. The attitude gauge and turn indicator come from Jens Christensen's DC-6 gauge package. The altimeter, gyro and vertical speed were designed by Scott Thomas from his Aero Commander 500 gauge package. The Bendix King radios were designed by Pierre Fasseaux. The KLN90 gps was designed by Ike Slack. I've also included Rob Barendregt's Ground Handling package and the RKG Fuelstat gauge. A few notes on using this panel: Please read Pierre's instructions for proper operation of the autopilot before you fly. The GPS will load the flight plan you specify from FS9. There is a hot spot in the upper left corner of the radio stack that will close it when it isn't needed. Michael Verlin [email protected] May 27, 2012

OMAA - Abu Dhabi International Airport - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Abu Dhabi International Airport is an airport in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The airport is one of the fastest growing airports in the world in terms of passengers, new airline operators and infrastructural development. The airport is now undergoing a US$6.8 billion expansion. As of January 2012, 53 airlines offered service to 85 destinations in 49 countries. The airport is the second largest in the UAE, serving over 10 million passengers in 2010. It has three operational passenger terminals. Its terminal spaces are dominated by Etihad Airways, which is the United Arab Emirates' second largest air carrier after Emirates.

The new Terminal 3, a US$270 million interim facility, was designed to allow for the airport's passenger growth before the planned opening of the new Midfield Terminal in 2014. Used predominantly by Etihad Airways, the terminal boosted the airport's seven million passenger per year capacity to 12 million. It also added 10 new gates, two of which are Airbus A380 compatible.

Using ADEx 1.51, aeronautical maps and Google Earth this AFCAD is now on par with today's situation.

Mount Everest Expedition Download

File Description:
Two flightplans for an expedition to Mount Everest (8852 m). The first flightplan takes you from Lukla (VNLK) airfield at 10000 ft to Mount Everest Climb North: Base Camp. A distance of about 40 km. The recommended inbuilt aircraft for this trip is the "Maule Orion on skis". Be aware that you must climb to about 15000 ft before entering the GPS-path. Also, you should try to land across the slope. Otherwise it could be difficult to stop the aircraft from skiing down the inclined ground! The second flightplan takes you from Base Camp to Yak Camp* (at about 19000 ft MSL) sitting at a bend of the East Rongbuk Glacier. This is the first camp on the North Route. You should use a helicopter able to climb to about 20000 ft for this route. For example, the inbuilt Bell 206B JetRanger. Though, it will indeed be a challenge with this aircraft! *= It is called the Yak Camp because it is the point at which the yak herders overnight their yaks on the route up to Advance Base Camp (ABC) at 21300 ft.

Air France/ KLM (retro)"double livery" F-AZTE.zip for LES DC3 This is a livery-paint for the Leading Edge Simulations Douglas DC3/C47. Paint made by Leen "Flybike" de Jager This paint depicts (more or less, within the limitations of the model) the DC3 F-AZTE ,flown by Air France/KLM. This plane flew under the french registration F-AZTE ( very small font under the H-stab ) . On the right side of the plane there is a retro Air France livery with the registration F-BBBEwhile on the left side of the plane we see a retro KLM livery registrated PH-PBA. This plane really existed in this livery and was used for for promotional purposes The skin-set includes cockpit and cabin textures as well. Livery dedicated panel and cockpit colors. Cabin seats and color more or less depicting the original one. Passenger-cabin-ceiling without airco-units , just the original old Dakota-ceiling. Night-time navigation trough the dome enabled. How to install: Just unzip F-AZTE.zip into a temp. folder , and start reading the readme file. Enjoy Leen "Flybike" de Jager http://www.flybike-paints.nl

Boundary Bay CZBB in British Columbia, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Boundary Bay is south of Vancouver in British Columbia, close to the US/Canada border. It is the 5th busiest airfield in Canada measured in terms of take offs and landings as there are several training companies based there. The airfield was purchased by Alpha Aviation in 2009 and and modernised for the 2010 Winter Olympics, the main addition being a new terminal. This is an ex-military training base which was built in 1941, and one of the original hangars still survives. The two runways in use now (07/25 5,600' and 12/30 2,750', both of them 100' wide) are reduced asphalted areas of the original runways; the third runway is now an apron for GA parking and has had hangars built along it. There is JetA and 100LL available. The large building at the east end of the north apron is a HQ and maintenance facility for a helicopter company, Heli-one. All of the north apron buildings on the field have been modelled specifically for this scenery, plus the nearby huge greenhouse farm structures which are visible from further away than the airfield is. AI for Boundary Bay will be posted later this week.

Iqaluit CYFB 2010 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Founded in 1942 as an American airbase, Iqaluit is now the capital city of the northern Canadian province of Nunavut. It is the smallest Canadian capital in terms of population and the only capital that is not connected to other settlements by a highway. The airport is of critical importance to the community, especially when ice makes boat travel impossible. At 62 degrees latitude (approx. the same as Yellowknife), Iqualuit offers some of the most severe weather you are likely to encounter at any airport, and has been used for cold weather testing of new airliners. This version of Iqaluit is a complete rebuild of the default version. Almost all the buildings have been custom modeled based on photos. The design of the terminal building at Iqaluit is one of the coolest I've seen, and was the main inspiration for making this scenery. Due to its complexity many details had to be omitted, but hopefully I was able to at least capture some of its "Yellow Submarine" uniqueness. Ramp lights, fences, ground objects, arrestor cables (non-functional) and all the rest of the usual junk is included. Also Instrument Approach Plates.

FSX Registry Utility Download

File Description:
The FSX Registry Utility has been designed to help sort out FSX registry problems and avoid the need to re-install FSX, such as when manually copying a FSX installation to another drive or when the registry entry goes missing for any reason. Many FSX applications and their installers depend on knowing the path to the fsx.exe file as reported in the Windows Registry. But what if the registry entry has been corrupted or deleted when reinstalling Windows? Manually copying the FSX folder to another folder or drive will also invalidate the registry entry. This may in some cases prevent an FSX add-on from working correctly (i.e. it cannot find FSX on your system). The FSX Reg Utility was prepared especially for users with custom setups or who manually copied the FSX installation to another folder or drive and reformatted their drives, but want to retain their FSX installation with all its add-ons. Using this utility may avoid the need to reinstall FSX and allows you to restore the path in the registry quickly and easily in the case that you are not confident editing the Registry yourself.

PADL - Dillingham - Alaska, USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Dillingham is a town with a population of around 2,300 at the southeast corner of the Bering Sea in Bristol Bay, 70 miles west of King Salmon. The town's economical well being is based on the commercial price of salmon and the numerous surrounding sport fishing lodges. FS9 shows the town as way more extensive than it is; the landclass textures correct this. The airport is a mile west of the town and has a single runway 6,400 feet long and orientated 01-19. There are scheduled passenger flights by Alaska Air (numerous in summer and non-existant in winter) and PenAir (year around) plus cargo flights by Everts and Northern Air Transport, and local scheduled flights by Grant Air; the AI includes these, plus GA. The GA gravel apron is behind the main apron and across a road, which is unusual. The parking on the asphalt apron is marked; in actuality there are no markings but landing at a field in FS9 that doesn't have a control tower leaves one wondering where to go; the six spots at the far northern end are unused by AI and free for visitors.

Sikorsky S-72 RSRA Download

File Description:
he RSRA ( Rotor Systems Research Aircraft ) was developed by Sikorsky for NASA and the Army. Configured with rotor, wings and auxiliary jets, the RSRA allows testing of new rotor concepts at speeds up to 300 knots. It can fly like a helicopter with a wing and jets, or as a fixed-wing aircraft without a rotor. The RSRA was a unique pure research aircraft developed to fill the void between design analysis, wind tunnel testing, and flight results of rotor aircraft. The joint NASA/Army project began in December of 1970, first flight on October 12, 1976 with the first of two aircraft arriving from Sikorsky to NASA on February 11, 1979. The aircraft was designed to investigate the concepts involved with stopping the main rotor in flight, with the large blades then providing aerodynamic lift assistance to the stubby conventional wings extending from the lower fuselage. This concept gave the aircraft the vertical flight stability of a helicopter, and the horizontal cruise capability of a conventional aircraft. The filght Simulator model is VTOL, so READ NOTES BEFOREFLYING, or you'll encounter some problems to fly it...
