TBD-1 Devastator MIDWAY T-3 for The B-24 Guy's OH

File Description:
TBD-1 Devastator MIDWAY T-3, June 1942. For the B24 Guy's Overhaul Model. The make-up of this skin was possible through viewing a photo of the "T-3" of the Torpedo Squadron Eight, that was taken on the launching deck of the USS Hornet (VT-8) on May 15, 1942. All of the 15 TBDs that were launched in this group on June 4, 1942 found their target--the IJN's Kaga, but even with their success, all were shot down. Enjoy!

PBJ-1C (B-25D) 26 VMB-413 for The B24 Guy's OH

File Description:
PBJ-1C (B-25D) 26 VMB-413 (The Flying Nightmares) USMC May 5, 1944. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. #26 was actually a PBJ-1D; however, the OH model that I painted it on (B25 Mitchell) would depict it as a PBJ-1C. The PBJ-1D had a visible rear gun as well as package guns below the pilot's cockpit. Also the tri-color paint scheme is not accurate, as it was painted in two-tone (blue/gray over white). Ogdensburg International KOGS New York state close to the St. Lawrence River

File Description:
Ogdensburg is called "International" but there is in fact very little activity, in spite of Big Sky Airways now operating flights between Ogdensburg and Boston. The airfield and the town of the same name are close to the St. Lawrence and the border with Ontario in Canada, and would be very convenient for a cross border hop except for the stepped up security that now applies to cross-border flights. So it is now even emptier than before, in spite of the excellent condition of the 5,200' runway.
