CFS2 Grumman TBF-1B/C Avenger (Tarpon Mk. I) 4D (Serial Unk.) 846 NAS, HMS Tracker - RAF Fleet Air Arm. December, 1943 through 1944. Painted over The B24 Guy's TBF Avenger OH Model. This A/C No. 4D, served with the 846th NAS on anti-submarine patrol, and was aboard the HMS Tracker during combat deployment in the North Atlantic campaign of 1944 (see 846th History file). Grindstone Island grass strip New York and the St. Lawrence River

File Description:
Grindstone Island is in the St. Lawrence River and an area known as 1,000 Islands, close to Lake Ontario. I am posting it here along with Maxson as they are close, although at the Grindstone Island strip there is absolutely nothing except a grass runway. I have no idea who uses it or how often, but it is there. And now it is here too.
