DES Text File Descriptions for LAGO FSE

File Description:
Make Dave Erickson's freeware FSSoundScape sound files available to LAGO FS Enhancer 2004. This is a collection of FSE sound description text files (*.DES) that reference Dave Erickson's awesome FSSoundScape for FS2002 WAV files, making them visible to the LAGO FSE payware application. No WAV files are included. Requires LAGO FSE and Dave Erickson's akcm9sds.zip (available from Avsim.com).

Work-around tutorial for the PIC panel

File Description:
Since I posted screen shots of my PIC panel in FS2004 in the AVSIM PIC Forum, I have recieved dozens of emails requesting a tutorial on how I achieved these results. This is that tutorial. This download will explain how the vector gauges can be displayed via undocked windows with the panel remaining exactly as it appears in FS2002. It is only useful for owners of PIC. THIS IS NOT A PATCH FOR PIC TO WORK IN FS2004.

Stereo Sound Upgrade for Bristol Hercules Engines

File Description:
This stereo sound upgrade of Harry Follas's Bristol Hercules piston-engine sounds for FS98 was created primarily for use with the Handley Page Hermes by Georg Hauzenberger, but should work well with any aircraft that was fitted with these engines. This includes aircraft such as the Handley Page Hastings, Grumman Albatross, Nord Noratlas, Vickers Viking, Short Solent, Avro Lancaster (Mk2 models) and the Bristol Beaufighter. By converting the sounds to FS2004 multiple-engine stereo, the engines now emit a realistic piston-engine roar at full throttle, but this quietens down to a more subtle sound in cruise. Other associated sounds have been added - ehgine startup, shutdown and wind effects in flight. Touchdown effects will now detect if the aircraft is landing on ground or water so you can comfortably use these sounds with amphibious aircraft. Requires original FS98 soundpack by Harry Follas hercsnd.zip (the files are also distributed with the Handley Page Hermes and Hastings models and probably others too.
