File Description:
Beechcraft King Air A100 for FS9
This is a series of repaints for Dee Waldron's King Air A100. I have recently revised the textures, adding details and shadowing thanks to Henry Tomkiewicz' AI paint kits. There are 14 repaints in this file. Screen shots are enclosed. I have also included a paint kit. The visual model, aircraft configuration file and air files are included.
This aircraft, and other members of the King Air family are projects Dee and I worked together on some years ago. The textures are newly refreshed. I have many hours happily flying these aircraft.
Dee's model is very sparing of resources. This aircraft can be used for AI and can be flown as well. As far as panels and sounds, I've left this to the user. The stock Microsoft King Air is an obvious starting point. Pierre Fasseux has designed three alternatives to the default panel, which represent a better choice. Leon Medado has created a very good freeware alternative to the default sounds. These are all available in the Flightsim.com library.
Instructions:
Unzip into a separate folder. Move the folder named labeled Dee Waldron King Air A100 into your FS9 folder. Use it as an AI aircraft or add panel and sound of your choice if you wish to fly it.
These files are provided on an as-is basis. I have tested them and have found them to work as intended.

| Boeing 737-800 Starter Package v1.0.0 |
|
File Description:
This is an upgrade package for the default Boeing 737-800. I compiled this package with new simmers in mind. This package has an advanced virtual cockpit that includes switches for LCD, EICAS, PFD, MFT, autobrake, pilot windows, cabin lights and GPWS. It also includes working windshield wipers with rain effects, upgraded virtual cockpit textures, a realistic Flight Management Computer and custom GPWS and cabin announcement sounds. I've included 11 high-quality liveries for Air Berlin, Air France, AirTran Airways, American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Airlines, Lufthansa, Pan American World Airways, Quantas, United Airlines and US Airways. I'll add more in future releases. I haven't asked permission from any of the original developers of these add-ons to include their work in this package. If I've used your work and you're upset about it, please reach out to me and I'll take care of it promptly. This package uses Advanced 737-800 VC by Alejandro Rojas Lucena, Upgraded 737-800 VC Textures by Enrique Cornejo, Honeywell FMC by Garrett Smith, Boeing Callouts by Jimmy Foong and EDO Sounds by Edoardo Ammannati. I collected the liveries from multiple different packages. I'm not sure who the original authors are. If you're the author of one of these liveries, let me know so that I can give you credit. All of the copyrights for these add-ons belong to their rightful developer(s). I've just compiled the best that I could find.

| ELVA / FlyUK Boeing 767 Package Update to v3 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This file will upgrade my ELVA Boeing 767 Pack to version 3. Version 3 includes some major and minor updates. It also adds new features: Heat Haze (shimmer) effects plus smoke effects by Martyn Becker, Reverser Spray Effects by Edward Cox and Takeoff Spray effects by Dennis Franke. Fly UK Virtual Airways liveries are also included for Fly UK members to use as well. I have also created a low spec system option so that low spec users can use my boeing packages but with less features. See the readme file for more details. Patch by Peter Slater, uploaded by Gareth Abbott. Big thanks to those named here. Credited as asked. Visit his web site for his other projects at http://fsprojects.webs.com or search 'peter slater' here on AVSIM. | Air Rhodesia, Vickers Viscount 700 circa 1979 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Air Rhodesia was originally formed as a subsidiary of Central African Airways in June 1964, but became an independent corporation on September 1, 1967. This V.748D (C/N 100) was built for CAA as VP-YNC and first flew on Thursday, 24 May 1956. In 1979 it was painted in grey anti-missile livery after a SAM attack on Viscount VP-YND (C/N 101), and fitted with deflectors on the engine jet pipes to try and prevent a SAM missile from locking on using its heat sensors. In conjunction with special operational procedures when climbing and descending, they achieved the desired safety effect: no more aircraft were lost to missile attacks. You need Rick Piper's Vickers Viscount 700 model which you can download at: http://www.cbfsim.org/cbfsim/cbfs_lib/displayimage.php?album=9&pos=0. Repaint by Andre Reimers.

| Active AirSource v3.27 Full Install |
|
File Description:
Active AirSource (AAS) is a small stand-alone program that runs while you fly Microsoft Flight Simulator (FS2000, FS2002, FS2004). It records and sends data from Flight Simulator directly to the AirSource website (http://air-source.us) via the use of FSUIPC module and Microsoft's MSINET.dll. This functionality will allow pilots to fly and be seen on the Active AirSource flight boards. In addition, pilots will be able to increase their v-salary by filing their flights as "AAS Certified", since flights are verified through the program as "authentic flight time". Active AirSource (or AAS) runs in either multiplayer OR single player mode in Flight Simulator.
If you want more information about this Active AirSource program, you can visit the following webpage; About AAS

| FU3 Outer Terrain Tag File Information |
|
File Description:
These Excel spreadsheets contain information about the contents of the outer terrain's 3 tag files:
- outtaga.tag
- outtagb.tag
- outtagc.tag
The file outer_tag_offsets.xls contains a complete list of the file offsets of each file within the three tag files, i.e. the starting position (as byte number) of the level 0, level 2, level 5 .geo files and corresponding gtl files within each tag file. The last three columns of each worksheet contain the relevant information: filename, file position, and file size.
The file outer_tag_x&y.xls lists all the L0 .geo megatiles within each tag file and provides the position of each megatile within the OT region as an X and Y co-ordinate. Columns K, T, U and V provide the relevant information.
These spreadsheets may be of use to anyone wishing to develop the outer terrain region.
