Super VC10 Panel Upgrade Part 2 Download

File Description:
This panel upgrade for David Maltby's Super VC10 incorporates significant major changes. First the Super VC10 has now become a stand alone aircraft within the "DMFS Shared Files" file structure. This allows for many changes that distinguish the Super VC10 from the Standard. Some already present and some ongoing. The main panel is now in widescreen format i.e. "not stretched!" Many hundreds of other changes have also been made some unseen that make significant differences to the performance of the model. For example the Super has a fin tank now modelled along with correct fuel transfer and jettison procedures. The engines have been totally overhauled with new thrust curves so that their performance is as accurate as possible across the power spectrum. A consequence of this is that throttle control is now much more precise. Internal engine sounds have been completely revised and are as close as possible to the sound one would hear from the cockpit. There are in addition numerous new panels that are fully functional such the Oxygen panel. This means that cabin altitude and depressurisation are all potential factors and must be attended to. Though you do have an oxygen mask (so don it if necessary or face the consequences!). There is a tiller for ground manoeuvring. There are just too many changes and additions to list here but they are listed in the documentation. Another important addition is refuelling. Refuelling can only be done from an underwing point. To assist is a dedicated new fuel uplift spreadsheet which incorporates a facsimile of a real Super VC10 load sheet allowing you to change passenger loads etc. Everything is explained in the "Technical and Operational Procedures Manual" pdf file as well as the "VC10 FLYING MANUAL" pdf file which contains all the full checklists not cut down for sim use. With ongoing work the intention is that this will become a "study" simulation. If you do not already have David Maltby's Super VC10 model then download it from here. http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/vickers_vc10.htm Follow his instructions and make sure everything is working as expected before downloading these updates.

Reality XP 737-500 ADI True Display XP Unlocked Demo Download

File Description:
Not to be redistributed in any form without prior approval from Reality XP Reality XP 737 ADI in True Display XP Demo Important information This is the readme for the fully unlocked version 1.1 Dear Flight Simulator Enthusiast, we thank you for flying with Flight Line Avionics, and are pleased to offer an example of our unique technology: True Display XP. As you might have been aware off, we are currently designing the overall systems and avionics of the upcoming Flight1’s Piper Meridian. This extraordinary aircraft features an advanced cockpit panel, with Glass Cockpit Meggitt Avionics EADI, EHSI and EDU, coupled with a state of the art S-TEC Autopilot System and a full featured Garmin Radio Stack and Navigation System. Rest assured that our rendition of the Meridian avionics far above the standards of the Flight Line Avionics depth and accuracy, and even more! To let you prefigure what our unique technology brings to the overall simulated experience, we have especially designed this 737 ADI Demo to showcase a small fraction of the overall design techniques and tools we have built: True Display XP. True Display XP is meant to provide enough visual cues and precision, while not sacrificing the accuracy at any resolution. This is achieved with both a high refresh rate and a highly sophisticated rendering engine, while virtually having no impact to the FS2002 Frame Rate. With this technology in any aircraft product, you’ll be able to precisely hand fly any ILS approach to a level of precision you’ve never been used to with any other FS2002 add-on. Seeing is believing! Unlike the other “vector gauges”, our unique technology not only resembles and feels like a real CRT/LCD, but is more elaborate than an Anti Aliasing Line Drawing system. This prevent any “jitter” in effectively rendering all the display at a sub pixel resolution. We are glad to let you share our excitement for the Flight1’s Meridian with this demo which showcases our unique technology. We thank you for your fidelity to Reality XP. Best Regards, Reality XP www.reality-xp.com

Louisiana State Police Texture Updates Bell/Textron 430 Download

File Description:
FS2004 Bell/Textron 430 Helicopter Louisiana State Police Updates This package contains 2 revised texture sets for: N810SP & N918SP which are based here in Baton Rouge. These fixes add the gold stripe on the tail and reflect the readjusted bottom gold cheat stripe and a few more small tweaks that make the textures more accurate. There is a well known member of the FS Community that is also painting up more LSP Bell430s.I believe that his will feature 430s from LSP Troop I,B and C. Giving you all more N#'s to fly based on your preference of which Troop you want to fly for.So keep an eye out for more LSP Bell 430s in the near future!! As always....Enjoy!! **P.S.*** I am finishing up on a custom scenery to compliment these repaints. The scenery will feature a large photoreal terrain area of the Independence Park area here in Baton Rouge wich houses on its grounds the following: Louisiana State Police Headquarters,Louisiana Statepolice Training acadamy, various State Gov't offices such as Dept. of Motor Vehicles,Louisiana State Office of Emergency Managment,State fire Marshals Offices,e.t.c..... The main Helipad is set up as a runway..rwys 9-27 which feature their own ILS systems with outermarkers,an NDB,Fictioal Airport Designation of 1LSP.Trees,Military Landing Zones, resturants, minmalls, gas stations along the perimeter, the main Fire House/Fire Station for that area.the Main branch of the Public Library and the big school bus transfer area on the west side.Street lights along the roadways, and much more. With minimal impact of FPS. This will be a great add-on tool for the real LSP and AIr Med pilots who fly into this place everyday. Now you guys/gals can practice approaches in inclement weather conditions without fear of ruining a 5 million dollar chopper, all the while honing your IMC skills. This scenery will integrate seemlessly with the upcoming release of KBTR v2. The screenshots in this archive are from KBTRv2 Beta and the 1LSP beta sceneries!! Keep an eye out at the BSMP forum for updates and preview screenshots... www.bsmp.co.nz

PABR - Barrow - Alaska, USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The town of Barrow is in the far north of Alaska, and is best known in flying circles as the place where Wiley Post crashed his floatplane on takeoff and killed himself and Will Rogers. The crash was some 15 miles south of Barrow and was "assisted" by the mismatched fuselage, wings, and floats that had been assembled to create the floatplane. The Barrow population is largely Inupiat and totals some 4,400. The downtown area of Barrow is immediately north of the airport. The second and largest part of Barrow is further north past a string of lagoons and is locally called Browerville. To the northeast along the coast is the smallest part around what used to be the Naval Arctic Research Lab, and is now a college. To the east of this are the DEW buildings, plus two large navy hangars and the gravel runway that was used to serve the DEW station. The PABR runway is aligned 06-24 in FS9 and is 7,100 feet long and 150 feet wide, built on top of a gravel base and surround that copes with the underlying permafrost. There is PAPI at both ends and an ILS and approach lights on 06; 06 circuits are to the right. The airport notes include a warning that the apron is not a standard width and that large planes that are enroute to the far end of the runway will not be able to taxi past a plane parked at the gate and should use the runway as a taxiway, then turn and takeoff. FS9 AI cannot cope with that, so the apron here is wider. There are, in real life and the AI, daily flights by Air Alaska (three at least) and Era (several, and which is now called Ravn, hence the new hangar door motif) and air cargo flights by Northern Air Cargo and Everts, plus GA. The buildings have been made with photographic textures or textures made from reference photos. I decided that while 500+ scenery objects was probably ok for most people the required 900+ to "make" the town of Barrow would likely not be. The auto-generated FS9 town objects could not be left as Barrow with trees would not look at all like reality; I have "faded" the density of the town buildings into the distance from the airport.

London 2004 Download

File Description:
Continuing my new free releases for this year, here is my London 2004 scenery package that I designed for my personal use but now I want to share it with the community. I have had numerous requests to do more cities and airports so this is my third scenery for 2004. Being the lazy person I am, no research was done and no claim to real life cities and airports is intended or implied. I have added many objects to the airports and cities including terminals, hangers, buildings, castles, city scapes and other fun and interesting things. All of which were culled from all the wonderful designers in the X-Plane Community such as B. Brooks & Christian Franz, Ted Davis, Tom Curtis, Ralph Glass, Tim Chandler, Didier Chauveau and all the other hard working and exceptionally talented designers who have inspired me. Many thanks to each of you for your contributions to the X-Plane community. Like all my scenery packages, the additions to the citys and airports are purely fictional. The airports themselves are unaltered. I have enhanced London Heathrow (EGLL), London Gatwick (EGKK), London City (EGLC) airports and of course the city of London . A special thanks to Robert Bunce for his NYEXPRO packages and Ken Spiker for his KWIKCITIES package. If I inadvertently left out other objects and scenery designers, it was purely unintentional and I offer my apologies. All airports and cities come with Night Textures. Flying at dusk and dawn will add additional enjoyment to your experience. You may want to experiment with your Autogen settings for best results. I turn mine way down in the rendering settings so that autogen buildings don't sit on top of custom objects and roads. It will improve framerates as well. Installation: Place the extracted "London 2004" folder into your "Custom Scenery" folder. I have included apt.dat files for v6.70 and v7.30. Keep the apt.dat file for your particular XP version. Apt.dat files are different formats for v6 and v7. Please send any comments or suggestions to [email protected]. If you choose to rate my Scenery Packs and give less than a "9" rating, I would appreciate knowing what I can do to improve them. I can only do that with your feedback. My Other Free Scenery Packages are: Charlotte-Rock Hill, Houston-Galveston, Iraq, Nice, France, San Diego 2004, San Francisco 2004. All are available at X-Plane.org and Avsim.com. Have fun and FLY SAFE!.

Robert J. Miller Air Park Airport (KMJX), NJ Download

File Description:
Located 05 miles SW of Toms River, New Jersey on 232 acres of land, R.J. Miller Air Park is a public asphalt strip 5949' in length. The airport buildings and immediate surrounding area have been included, magnetic variation adjusted, PAPI properly placed, taxiway lines drawn accurately, beacon properly placed, lit winsock and wind tee (both functional). The parking available has been matched to the current configuration of the airport, which is still undergoing renovation. Not included is the under-construction building just to the south of the terminal and the additional large hangar just north of the already-existing one. Taxiway lighting could not be seen in aerial photos - complete liberty on behalf of the author was taken when placing taxiway lights. Helipad is lit at night although the real world pad is not. Tiedown parking is available on the main tarmac in three sections: Southwest, Northeast, and regular Parking which is in the middle. RAMP_GA_SMALL parking spots are for aircraft with wingspans no greater than 40 feet. RAMP_GA_MEDIUM parking spots are for aircraft with wingspans no greater than 60 feet. RAMP_GA parking spots are occupied/blocked by static objects and should not be chosen as a start location (although collision detection with all such objects has been disabled). There are 4 open hangars - three to the Southwest are for RAMP_GA_SMALL aircraft while the Northeast one is for RAMP_GA_MEDIUM aircraft or smaller. All hangar parking spots are labeled DOCK_GA. A hangar on the main tarmac and a hangar on the tarmac to the south and west removed from the airport have attendants that can be called on NAV2 - this appears to be FS9 only. Both hangars have undecorated interiors and no parking spots to start from. There is only one helipad to start on but helicopters can also start in any RAMP_GA_MEDIUM location with no problem. Fuel for aircraft/helicopters is available by stopping next to the fuel pumps (not the fuel tank) at the north end of the main tarmac. The helipad will supply fuel when landed on. Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 002. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.
