| Nigeria Airways 1998 AI Flightplans |
|
File Description:
Unfortunately, between the early 1990s and 1998, Nigeria Airways had drastically reduced it's European network, ending service to places like London and Amsterdam and disposing of most of the A310s and DC-10s. Flights to Dubai were now on a charter basis, with the DC-10 only doing a LOS-KAN-JED route once per week. The DC-10 also did maintenance in MIA, so I included a ferry flight there but it usually sits in Lagos unused. A single PW-powered A310-200 and a DC-10-30 were doing the longhaul flights while the A310s and several 737-200s were flying around Africa. There were 3 A310s stored; 2 in Lagos and one impounded in BRU(to become a cafe in 12/99) with none in flying conditions. I have them sitting idle in LOS as in real life, but since they were not in flying condition, they only do a touch and go landing once per week in the middle of the night. I will give them proper parking spots when I do the LOS ADEX eventually, but delete them if you wish. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Repaints are in the Avsim library, filenames included. File Description:
Eastern Air Lines, Douglas DC-7B (N836D) livery for FS9/FSX - This aircraft in real life has been lovingly restored by the Historical Flight Foundation (HFF). It has recently been approved for flight by the FAA, and should be seen at airshows soon.
The HFF is unique in that its Douglas Aircraft Co. DC-7B aircraft represents the only U.S. based, four engine, passenger prop-liner in operation today. The aircraft being operated by the HFF was still in its original passenger configuration as delivered to Eastern Air Lines in January 1958. Of the 112 DC-7 aircraft produced, this is the only surviving passenger configuration aircraft. You can read more about this aircraft and get all the latest news at: http://www.n836d.com/
THIS FLIGHT SIMULATOR VERSION:
This livery is a re-creation of the aircraft restored by the HFF, and is accurate as of April 2010. It uses a special model created by Tom Gibson, to allow an accurate livery layout on the nose and nose gear doors. Please follow the installation instructions carefully. You'll need to download and install the CalClassic Domestic DC-7B - the American Airlines DC-7B Base Pack: www.calclassic.com/dc7b.htm
For details about the FS plane, please refer to the DC7B2K4.TXT file in the Domestic DC-7B zip file.

| WBGT/WBTM Long Banga, Tanjung Manis, Malaysia |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Googly scenery for WBGT Long Banga, Tanjung Manis (sometimes also referred to
under the ICAO code WBTM) - a small domestic airport in Malaysia that it seems
Microsoft forgot to provide in in Flight Simulator 2004. These scenery
files create the airport and add taxiways, aprons, buildings and other airport
features, so that you and your "AI" traffic can land, taxi, park and take off in
a realistic manner. Also added is the missing TMS non-directional beacon at
this airport (on frequency 264.0).
The airport serves the township of Sarikei, capital of the Sarekei district in
the Sarekei Division (are you following this?) of Sarawak in Eastern Malaysia.
Flights are provided by MASwings, a subsidiary of Malaysian Airlines, with De
Havilland Twin Otter aircraft calling here a few times per week.
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite
imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added
airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing.
You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries,
but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine,
with or without.

File Description:
Googly scenery for MRAO Turtuguero, Costa Rica - another one that Microsoft
forgot in FS2004. It is a small domestic airport located on a long spit of
land that almost seems like an island. Turtuguero is just a village but the
airport also serves the lush Tortuguero National Park (rain falls all the
year round here) which draws thousands of visitors each year. The airport
is served daily by DHC-6 Twin Otters of Nature Air.
These scenery files create the airport and add taxiways, aprons, buildings and other airport features, so that you and your "AI" traffic can land, taxi, park and take
off in a realistic manner. The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on less-than-perfect satellite imagery from Google Earth, the layout is as good as I can get it, but some imagination has been used as I cannot tell what buildings exist. The
buildings and other features I have provided are built from default Microsoft
objects and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing.

File Description:
Googly scenery for HLLQ El Beida/Labraq - a joint civilian and military airport
near the north coast of Libya that is poorly provided for in Flight Simulator
2004. These scenery files add taxiways, aprons, buildings and other airport
features, so that you and your "AI" traffic can land, taxi, park and take off
in a realistic manner.
The city of Al Beida, or Al Bayda' or El Beda or Al Baidhah (depending on who
you are) has achieved its own airport status by using the end of a dead runway
at Labraq Air Base. In turn the airbase has contracted to use the opposite end
of the runway as its base of activity. The city is served by jets of Libyan
Airways and turboprop craft of Air One Nine and Ghadames Air Transport.
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite
imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added
airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look like the real thing.

| Malev Hungarian Airlines Boeing B737-7Q8 (HA-LOL) |

File Description:
MALEV Hungarian Airlines Boeing B737-7Q8 (HA-LOL) repaint, one of 7 currently in Malev fleet. Mal©v Hungarian Airlines (Hungarian: Magyar L©gik¶zleked©si V¡llalat, abbreviated Mal©v) is the flag carrier and principal airline of Hungary. It has its head office in the Lurdy House in Budapest, with its main operations at Budapest Ferihegy International Airport. From there, the airline flies to 50 cities in 34 countries worldwide using a fleet of 22 airplanes. Mal©v is a member of the Oneworld alliance, joining 29 March 2007.[2] Mal©v - the accent indicates that the E is long, and the first syllable is always stressed in Hungarian, so the name is pronounced MAH-lev. The company's logo was designed by L¡szl³ Zs³t©r in 1989. Aircraft is hand painted, using iFly paintkit, with some slight modifications in order to represent real HA-LOL in best possible way. Textures are saved in 32 bit format, for best image quality.

| Mountain View CPZ3 in Ontario, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is Mountain View, a small RCAF airfield at the eastern end of Lake Ontario on Prince Edward Island, some 40 miles west of Kingston. Mountain View is used for training during the summer months, and part of this training is for C-130 crews, who practice landing on rough or unprepared landing strips. The crews are based at Trenton, which is a large base 10 miles to the northwest on the mainland. There are (or were, I haven't seen it recently) numerous parked and ancient fighter planes such T-33's and Canadair Tutors; these could also have possibly been used for summer training or perhaps were just stored. Last summer there were only two hangars left standing; in 2002 there were five. In real life you would be on the lookout not only for C-130's but also (at certain times during the summer) for parachutists and also gliders. This airfield is one that you will fly over and not land on; I confess that I have cheated with the length of the 06L-24R gravel "practice" runway, so that it became possible for the FS version of a touch-n-go with a C-130 to be completed without using the grass. The aerial photograph shows the new "practice" gravel runway under construction.

| YEEB Eneabba, Western Australia strip and townsite |
|
File Description:
YEEB Eneabba strip and townsite
Sand mining town in heart of wildflower area Located 278 km north from Perth via the Brand Highway, Eneabba is basically a sand mining town surrounded by some of the most extensive and spectacular wild flower displays anywhere in Western Australia. The town itself is, to be fair, a real non-event with dreary modern housing (with more than a hint of construction town design), a small shopping centre and a service station all of which look as though they have sprung up in the last 20-30 years. The wealth of the area is based on the rutile sands which lie to the south of the town as well as farming, particularly cattle grazing. With an estimated 80 per cent of the world's known rutile supplies the town can boast that it has the biggest deposits of rutile in both Australia and the world. The major mining company in the area is Iluka Resources Ltd. Eneabba is basically a service town for the mines but some of the miners, realising that Eneabba is hardly a paradise, have opted for commuting and live on the coast at Leeman and drive to work preferring the beach to the dry inland.

| NZGA- Galatea Aerodrome (VectorLandClass, New Zealand) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Welcome to Galatea (ICAO: NZGA), a gateway to exploring the Urewera ranges and the east coast of New Zealand. Galatea is a small and basic airstrip with only one old hanger, a public toilet and a small clubhouse on a wide plain surrounded by native bush and pine plantation near Murupara in the Bay of Plenty of New Zealand. It is a grass strip of 1025m length and 60m width and aligned 01/19 with a group rating of 8. No night lighting or fuel is available.
The FSX model includes custom textures and models placed on an aerial image. It makes extensive use of items from the free VLC object libraries which are required to be installed (download from www.vectorlandclass.co.nz downloads menu). This scenery and the VLC libraries have been funded
by sales of VectorLandClass and although you do not need VLC to use it, your purchase helps further development.
To the south west of Murupara township and sawmill is the LakeLand Helicopters base which just fits onto the photo-real coverage. Library objects have been placed here although they may not be accurate as the site was not visited when taking reference photos. This airfield makes a great stop over when flying between Rotorua, Mount Tarawera, Whakatane or Gisborne.
We hope you enjoy exploring the area!

| Pichlingersee - LOW1 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The Pichlingersee (LOW1) is a quarry pond near Linz (LOWL) in Austria (Upperaustria). The ILS approach to the runway 27 cross this lake. The helipad is in possession of Water Rescue Department and was not build on land. It was build "in water".
For the implementation of this area about 500 objects were set by hand from myself. Including not only trees and shrubs, but also signs, park benches, emergency call boxes (gernerated in gmax) etc at there right place. At night it was dark in real, so I does not create night texture. The scenery has 1.5 km ground imagery at 20cm per pixel and vary (hope) with the seasons.
