File Description:
The B-2A Stealth Bomber is the most sophisticated aircraft on the planet. She is essentially a “Flying Wing†platform with no V-Tail, and is controlled by pre-programed flight computers stationed in various positions within the crew cabin and wings. There is one main computer that controls the aircraft, with two redundant back-up computers assigned to it in case of failure. All additional computers are assigned to functions involving flight control, system monitoring, data communications, and radar. Engine and Aerodynamic effects are controlled by these computers which serve several actuators and ailerons, including the spoilerons, which further compensate for the lack of a V-Tail. In theory, and because of these computers, the aircraft is “Stall-Proofâ€. The only way it can stall is if the computers fail. There is no way she can be flown without the computers active. The REAL aircraft does almost everything based on pre-programed data, other than taxi to the runway (although this is also possible to program). Before each flight, the Mission is designed and then assigned to the Mission Flight Box (Portable Computer) which is then carried by the Commander to the aircraft, and the data from the box is “transferred†to the main on-board computers. Because of this, the B-2 cannot be flown until the box is ready for the mission, and pilots cannot simply jump in and fly her, with the exception that the data is transferred via satellite. Everything is pre-planned, and this takes several hours. Once the data is on-board, the taxi can begin. When lined-up on the runway, all the pilot needs to do is push a button or three. Everything else is computer controlled until landing. The aircraft CAN be flown manually with basic data inputs into the main computer systems, but even in that case it is not conventional. If a pilot wants to turn right, he sets the data to turn to a certain degrees of heading. The same with climb and descent, speed increase or decrease. A pilot cannot over-ride the computers in any case, so steep banks, climbs, or descents cannot be forced. There is a lot of space for the two member crew within the cockpit, but there is also a space reserved for one observer. This additional seat is known as “Suicide Position†because there is no ejection seat for that observer. In the event of a mishap, the observer can try to bail-out through the ejection hatches after the pilots, or can try the exit ramp door, or the bomb bay as an exit route. The odds of escape for the observer are very small, but he has a parachute as reassurance. Otherwise, what the crew does during missions is only a guess, since they really don't have to do anything unless an alarm goes off. Since the plane flies so smooth, we can only imagine what sort of things they may dream-up to entertain themselves during a long flight. High altitude flights are conducted at night mainly due to the obvious contrail such a flight will exhibit during the day with such hot engines. The engines are encased in a heat absorbing shield material (still exhaust exists), and the rest of the plane is coated with Radar absorbant material, with the additional low profile effect of the aircraft design itself. If it can be seen by the ground or a fighter, it can be attacked by fighters or the ground. During daytime flight they will stay below the contrail level, and monitor the radar systems in preparations for counter-measures. If a fighter can visually observe them, the fighter may be able to shoot them down with bullets from behind, but not likely with missiles because of the sophisticated counter-measures available. On Radar the aircraft appears the size of a pigeon, until about 8 to 10 miles away, which would be too late to counter from the ground, so most attacks are either done at night or during the day at very low altitude. Upon landing the aircraft is automated down to about 200 feet AGL, when the pilot takes command. All she/he does at this point is allow her to glide down and contact the runway, and retard the engines. Brakes are used to slow, then the computers are turned off, and the pilot can control the throttles, nose gear, and brakes. The Commander watches for obstructions, mainly, and communicates with the tower and ground crew. Everything in this model has been reconfigured to meet realistic standards, without any tricks or flight tuning, and following real world aerodynamic principals and available data, including MOI. The panel requires study before use, but very realistic. The sounds are very authentic. There is no other model offered anywhere that compares to what you have now available in front of you. Please read and study the Readme.txt file within the main folder before attempting to fly this 2.2 Billion Dollar aircraft. Yes, that's correct ... $2,200,000,000 each! The DC-3 AirVeteran FINNISH Airlines livery textures
Day and night bitmaps are for the Leif Ohlson´s X-Plane 6.30+ DC-3
by: Miguel Angel Alvarez Gallardo. Spain. Nov. 2002
The first time I saw this pretty plane was on the model made by Jam Visser for fs2000 (TM), and I fall in love with it,
as far as I take the textures from his plane and adapted to the great ( genial ! ) DC-3 for X-Plane by Leif Ohlsson.
I asked Jam Visser several post, but I never released it!
The next livery for Leif Ohlsson plane was the SAS livery " Daisy " and this time it was released. It liked Leif Ohlsson
so much that He told me We could make a group!
I began to design a new bare metal base texure in order to release several liveries, and when it was made, I decided
release another again the AirVeteran FINNISH Airlines, but this time with a textures enterely by my own!
I think it´s better than the first for this plane and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed desingnig it!
These textures are freeware!
But: They can´t be used in any way for comercial purposes, neither can be manipulated or alter in any way.
These textures only can be distribute in this original package!
These textures are released as there and no responsability in any way will be derivated from its use
These textures can´t be used for other authors or other simulators, neither manipulated or alter in any way for any purposes
without my permission.
They have been the result of a lot of work and with the unestimable help of Leif Ohlson.
These textures are as the real DC-3 fuselaje.
Enjoy!

| Ocean City Municipal Airport (26N), NJ |
|
File Description:
Located 02 miles SW of Ocean City, New Jersey on 60 acres of land, Ocean City Municipal Airport is host to quite a few GA aircraft, and has plenty of room for anyone looking to fly in for a few days. Around 60 tiedown spots are available on the tarmac. The main tarmac can host planes with wingspans up to 40 feet. If you managed to fly in anything larger than that head for the west end of the field to tie down. FSX may spawn some AI craft in that area but it is not attached to the main taxi network so no planes will leave from there - the majority of planes FSX spawns in that larger spot can't handle the runway length! Be sure to check your aircraft can handle takeoffs without freezing temps and a ton of headwind before you fly in. You can gas up by stopping near the fuel truck by the terminal or by the gas tank at the west end of the tarmac. Don't ask me what that yellow circle is on the tarmac - if anyone knows you can tell *me* :P It's in the airport photos so its there. Runway touchdown markings are enabled as in real life, but apparently FSX decides not to draw them because the runway is too thin.
Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview, the author has not been there in person.
This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 003. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

Images related to this file:
File Description:
Googly scenery for WASF Fak-Fak, in Irian Jaya (Western New Gunea),
Indonesia - a small domestic airport that Microsoft managed to omit from Flight
Simulator 2004. These scenery files add the runway, apron, taxiways, buildings
and other airport features so that you and your "AI" traffic can land, taxi,
park and take off in a realistic manner.
Little information is available on the services operated - flight plans are
available for Lion Airlines showing two flights per week operated on their behalf
by Wings Abadi Dash 8 aircraft. But it is known that Merpati Nusentara also serve
the airport with Twin Otters. If you are using the Lion Airlines flight plans
for Winter 2006, you must change the airport's co-ordinates as detailed in the readme.txt file
because the co-ordinates given there will cause the aircraft to aim for a point
on the wrong side of the equator in the middle of the sea!
There is no lighting at this airport, and few navigational aids. However, I have
added a missing NDB nearby (FA, 380.0).
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. The quality of the satellite
imagery at Google Earth is poor, but a number of photographs and other information
has enabled this airport to be depicted reasonably accurately. However the added
airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing.
You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries,
but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine,
with or without.
An editvoicepack file has been included for the airport to help you embarrass
yourself in front of others when flying.

| MNPC Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua |

Images related to this file:
File Description:
Googly scenery for MNPC Puerto Cabezas - a small international
airport in Nicaragua for which no facilities are provided in Microsoft Flight
Simulator 2004. These scenery files create the airport and add taxiways, aprons,
buildings and other airport features, so that you and your "AI" traffic can land,
taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner.
The airport, with its new Rigoberto Cabezas terminal opened in 2000, serves the
city of Puerto Cabezas and is surrounded by beautiful beaches and lush scenery.
Unfortunately, the country of Nicaragua has been embroiled in civil unrest almost
continuously since it became an independent republic in 1838, most of which is funded and fuelled by other countries seeking to interfere with Nicaragua's politics. For this reason, the country has no national airline or international flights of its own - the major powers refuse to accept its currency - and commercial traffic is confined to local flights operated by small craft from adjoining countries like those of Atlantic Airlines de Honduras and TACA Regional.
Fortunately, in Flight Simulator you do not need to worry about world politics
and you will be assured of a "virtual" welcome when you call in here. Please
say a small prayer for world peace when you do.
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite
imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added
airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing.
You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries,
but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine,
with or without. [File re-uploaded at request of AVSIM]

| Dallas Ft. Worth KDFW / DFW, version 3.2 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Thank you for downloading this scenery. This is an extensive upgrade to the default Dallas/Ft. Worth International airport. The brand new Terminal D is added and in use now at DFW. FRF's rendition of this terminal is in no way photoreal or exact as it is in real life. The basic shape and dimensions are correct, but due to the limitations of the building blocks available to me at the time, We were not able to design the curved roof and some other architectural details of the actual building. The gates are generally accurate and I have seen no parking problems so far. The original main terminals remain with new, more accurate jetways. The overhead tramway which circles the entire terminal area has been added. It is not perfectly correct or photoreal, but it is a good basic representation.
An AFCAD is included with accurate parking per the DFW website and AA.com. There is a substantial frame rate hit with full AI traffic and weather enabled, but it is not a slideshow.
Update from v3:
The afcad file for KDFW is all new, made with AFX, and reflects recent updates to the taxiway layout. The new afcad file is no longer "all runways active" due to the incorrect behavior of AI aircraft overflying the main runways when using the 13/31's. The new end-around taxiway at the end of Rwys 17R/C is now in place. The runway 18R/17C extensions are reflected as well as associated new taxiways and signage. Parking changes are now reflected per the DFW website. Visual changes include the midfield hangar change from Delta to American titles, courtesy of Joe Degregorio.

| Nanisivik CYSR and Arctic Bay CJX7 in Nunavut, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Nanisivik is an airfield in the north of Baffin Island, 470 miles north of the Arctic circle. It was built to service a zinc and lead mine that was opened in 1976 as Canada's first Arctic mine, now closed and dismantled. The deep water Strathcona Sound has been ear-marked by the Canadian government for development as a naval base, so I have left the large ore storage shed and the jetty in place. The airfield is at 2,106 feet on the top of the Borden Peninsula hills with a lighted 6,400 feet of 150 feet wide gravel runway runway aligned 11/29. There is a terminal and other maintenance buildings, and First Air have a building there from when the mine generated a lot of traffic and jets were used. Arctic Bay is a village 11 miles west of Nanisivik airfield with a population of around 690 which also uses the Nanisivik airfield. There is another gravel strip much closer to the village that is called Arctic Bay CJX7, but this is smaller with only 1,500' of 50' wide gravel and has no facilities of any sort. The village is partly dependent on visiting sports hunters and other limited tourist visits. At almost 73 degrees north the average year will have only four or even three months where the average high is above freezing. The buildings on the field have been modelled specifically for this scenery, and as in real life there is only JetA available. The AI visiting aircraft are a Kenn Borek Twin Otter and a First Air 42-300. As Nanisivik is in the "Northern Domestic Airspace" the runway is signed in "true" bearings and not magnetic as magnetic compasses become unreliable close to the magnetic pole.

| Linden Airport (KLDJ), NJ v1.1 |
|
File Description:
Located 01 miles SE of Linden, New Jersey on 188 acres of land, Linden Airport is a public asphalt strip 4137' in length. Numerous changes have been made to this airport to bring it closer to its real-life counterpart including proper non-precision runway markings for R09 while only basic markings are used for R27; The 4-box VASI has been accurately located; the traffic pattern height has been adjusted; All 130 tiedown locations have been accurately placed. RAMP_GA spots are taken by static aircraft (all of which have collision disabled) so they should not be selected unless you want to start inside another aircraft! RAMP_GA_SMALL spots can be occupied by aircraft with wingspans up to 40 feet and RAMP_GA_MEDIUM spots can be occupied by aircraft with wingspans up to 60 feet. There are 4 open hangars labeled as GA_DOCK. The main hangar (NW Parking) can hold aircraft with wingspans up to 60 feet. The three smaller hangars (SW Parking) can hold aircraft with wingspans up to 35 feet. The W Helipad start location will put you in front of the smaller main tarmac hangar within the coned-off section. Fuel is only available by taxiing to a stop in front of either fuel tank to the west of the main tarmac. No AI aircraft will spawn in the SW Parking area.
