High Canyon Camp

File Description:
This little camp in the Ketchikan, Alaska area is part of a group of fictional sceneries covering Southeast AK. Should work fine with or without Eddy Denny's terrain mesh. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. Menu entries on the Add-on Scenery menu will get you to the starting points. Requires trees_v3 from Garrish Gray. Includes a short dirt strip, STOL planes only need apply. It makes for a nice hop from Ketchikan, AK, and due its proximity to Moudi Farm (Najis Bush Scenery), is a good weekend camping spot for farm residents and visitors. The old cabin is boarded up and has fallen into disuse, but the landing strip is in pretty good shape, and you will usually (okay always) find campers there. Fly on in, I'm sure you'll be welcome.

SIDSTARS Ronald Reagan Washington National (KDCA)

File Description:
Procedures based on current (Cycle 0701) FAA Digital Terminal Information and published charts. I include ten departure routes (KDCA hasn't a published SID) for use in lieu of ATC vectors, which are based on FAA Preferred Routes and actual traffic. All (turbojet) STARs are included, and the primary ones have enumerations to provide routing to approach in lieu of ATC vectors. Approaches included ILS01, RNP19 and the Visual Charted Approach Procedures. This location is directly South of the Washington Monument, the Mall and the most restrictive airspace in the county. The lowest minima available for landing South is the RNP19 approach, which requires a 40 deg turn on short final at 500 MSL. I believe "National" is one of the most difficult locations to fly in and out of, needless to say, B737/A320 types only (no B747). For PMDG Only.

Piasecki PV-2

File Description:
The PV-2 helicopter is powered with a four-cylinder, air-cooled Franklin engine, developing ninety horsepower. The engine is mounted with its crankshaft upright. Piasecki has flown his helicopter in several public demonstrations. Once he took off from the driveway of a private home in Falls Church, Virginia, and flew a short distance to a filling station, where he landed and spent an A ration stamp for three gallons of gasoline. The surprised attendant put in the gas, wiped off the helicopter's windshield, and Piasecki took off again, heading for the golf course. A few minutes later he landed right beside the first tee, took his golf clubs out of the small baggage compartment, and proceeded to tee off for a game of golf. The young designer had done what many had talked about; no one had ever done that before.

File Description:
The McDonnell Douglas/Boeing MD-82 is a short to medium range airliner, initially developed by McDonnell Douglas as the DC-9. The seventy-seater DC9-10 dates back to the early 1960’s and was later followed by the stretched 20, 30, 40 and 50 versions. The DC-9 Super 80 was a further refinement of this aircraft, with more powerful engines, further stretched fuselage and larger wing span and was the basis for the MD-80 series, as it was renamed in 1983. This aircraft is the MD-82, which is one of several models in the range. Boeing and McDonnell Douglas merged in 1997 and this aircraft is now officially known as the Boeing MD-82. This aircraft features full animation, full lighting effects and reflective textures. A custom-designed, photo-realistic panel with xml-gauges is also included.

Ansett Flying Boat Services - Rose Bay to Lord Howe Island - 1969

File Description:
A Flight created for Flight Simulator 2004 and which utilises the Short Sandringham created by Jens Kristensen, this time in the 1970's livery of Ansett Flying Boat Services. A special set of textures has been created specifically for the Ansett version and is included with this package, together with instructions on its simple installation. Ansett Flying Boat Services ran scheduled flights between Rose Bay and Lord Howe Island, a very popular tourist destination, particularly with honeymooners. These flights usually departed Rose Bay on a Sunday, with the trip taking about two-and-a-half hours. This allowed for new holiday-makers to arrive at their destination with a complete week ahead of them and, at the same time, for returning passengers to arrive back in Sydney on Sunday evening, ready for work the next day! Installation instructions are included.

VTOL/Hover gauge for Harrier

File Description:
This freeware gauge adds new VTOL & Hover features to the FS9 payware Sigma/Iris Harrier. Besides true vertical takeoff&landing, it allows you to fly forward, backward, sideways and turn, while in a hover. This solution is based on overriding the normal FS flightdynamics while in a hover; in short, it's a VTOL&Hover FDE coded in a gauge. Special thanks to Doug Dawson, who created a gauge that provides for overriding FSX variables from an XML gauge. Requires FSUIPC4 (registered or unregistered, NOT included). The README includes extensive installation and flying instructions, including how to port your FS9 version of the Harrier to FSX. Besides the VTOL gauge, it also adds a fuel dump/load gauge, a gauge that lets you change the vertical ViewDirection in the 2D Cockpit, and replacements for two FSX-incompatible gauges in the original Harrier package.

The Helicopter is Used for detecting leaks in gas lines in Germany. South Farallon Islands

File Description:
These islands were mysteriously absent from the FS2004 default scenery, probably owing to their small size. When I went to look for them I found a small mountain of water instead of the islands. Most people don't seem to be aware of the Farallon Islands. Located off the coast of California, near San Francisco, they are home to thousands of birds, seals, and some of the largest Great White sharks known to man. All of this is within a very short distance of the city. Today, it is a wildlife refuge and is off limits to visitation by the general public. Those of you interested in more info might check out "The Devil's Teeth" by Susan Casey. This island is actually a scenery object. As such it doesn't have a landable surface. Future versions will have a helicopter pad.

Cessna 402B

File Description:
FS2004 Aircraft - The Cessna 401 and 402 are series of 6 to 10 place light twin piston engine aircraft. This line was manufactured by Cessna from 1966 to 1985 under the name Utiliner and Businessliner. The Cessna 401s, 402s, 402As and some 402Bs built from 1967 to 1971 had four small oval windows, which gave the aircraft a similar appearance as the pressurized Cessna 340. Starting half-way through the production of the Cessna 402B the window configuration was changed to the more distinctive five rectangular windows. Cessna 402s are widely used as airliners on short and thin routes from smaller communities, often with destinations of larger hubs to connect with the major airlines. EKAE - Aero Island - Denmark ** Ver.1**

File Description:
Aero is a small island situatet in the area south of Funen among many other small islands. This Area is only a short flight away from Northern Germany and called "The Danish South Funen Archepelago". The strip has a 590x30m grass Runway, and is approved for VMC day and VFR night operations. I tried to emulate the character of Aero as well as possible using existing standard objects in combination with some new build objects like the main building. The scenery includes a photo background covering alls four seasons and some night textures. However, many smaller Objects, like people were taken from a popular freeware library for whose use I got the friendly permission of the autor.
