File Description:
Boeing B-52 Stratofortress (Part 12). The B-52 first flew in 1952, the last one was built in 1961, and there are still over 90 of the original 744 airframes either in front-line service or in a ready-reserve status. With extensive avionics upgrades starting this year, the USAF plans on using the B-52s until 2045, 93 years after first flight. The aircraft has an impressive resume, having served in five shooting wars and was the backbone of Strategic Air Command's nuclear deterrent air component during almost forty years of Cold War service.
Jake Burrus started this AI traffic model a couple of years ago, and I was honored to pick up the project and get it across the finish line, with no small amount of help from Mike MacIntyre, as usual. This is a 7-LOD AI traffic model representing the Stratofortress in all of its operational service. This is part 12, showcasing the B-52H used from 1993 to 2000; with a total of 32 repaints. Also included are optional models for VFR traffic use. Aircraft model by Jake Burrus and Mike Pearson, master textures and repaints by Mike Pearson, flight dynamics by Mike MacIntyre. Please read the extensive documentation contained in the file.

| Aeroworks Railroad Valley 2013 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Railroad Valley is our oldest scenery project and by far the largest. It was originally released for FS2000 and version 2 was used in the Battle of the Airlines 2003 online race. It is a follow on to our series of fictional airports and surrounding areas that we call Flight Centers, such as our popular Malibu Flight Center 2. Included in the package is our centerpiece - Flight Center 3 at Echo Canyon and Flight Center 4 at Lunar Lake. Flight center 3 is our prime military headquarters, and functions as an aircraft manufacturing and flight test center all in one. It's much like a combined version of Edwards AFB and Palmdale Air Force Plant 42 in real life. Flight Center 4 is loosely based off of the High-technology Aerospace Warfare Center (or HAWC) from the earliest Dale Brown novels. The bases lie roughly 50 miles north of Area 51, Groom Lake, Nevada, and are just outside of the Nevada Test Site and the Nellis Air Force Range. In addition there are many other airports and flying locales too numerous to mention here. Full documentation contained within. Uses over 100 custom scenery macros specifically created for this release. Scenery and macros by Jason L. Terry. Additional Macros by Joshua B Nyhus.

| Nomads Travel Club 1998 |
|
File Description:
Nomads Travel Club may be one of the most storied travel clubs in aviation history. Founded in 1961 and based in Detroit(DTW), where the airline had it's own terminal, Nomads Travel Club gave up to 10,000 adventurous members the opportunity to hop on aircraft for elaborate tours across the earth. Initially flying a DC-7C, the airline upgraded to a L-188 Electra, CV-990, 727-100, and finally 727-200 N727M in 1993 which served the club until it's demise in 2011. N727M has traveled to dozens of countries and hundreds of airports, and I was able to find good information about 2 tours flown in 1998 and represented them in these plans. The aircraft spends at least half a day at each destination except for YHZ which is just a Westbound refueling stop. As far as I could find, the airline had no callsign or codes, so I am guessing they used the registration as a callsign. There is a paint for the AIA 727-200 on Avsim as "aib722nomads.zip".Flightplans by Chasen Richardson, based on real tours flown in 1998. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. | CityBird 1998 AI Flightplans |
|
File Description:
CityBird was founded in late 1996 with the slogan "The Flying Dream" as a Belgian leisure airline with a white MD-11 leased from World and two 767s(one in a white livery and one in the green livery). By 1998, there was also an MD-11 in the full CityBird green colors and 2 in full SABENA titles with Swissair stickers that was operated on behalf of those two carriers to North America and Brazil. The 737s and 2 cargo A300 did not come until the very end of 1999 and are not included in these flightplans. The airline offered 3 classes of service, "Royal Eagle" class(buisness), "Premium Flamingo(premium economy), and "Colibri" class(economy). There was an interesting Just Planes\World Air Routes flight in the cockpit video made about this carrier, if that interests you. Michael Pearson has painted the fleet, the FAIB 767-300 is on Avsim as "faib_767-300_ctb.zip" and the FSPX MD-11 as "fspx_md-11_ctb.zip". Alternatively, Eduardo Villanueva has repainted the fleet on FS2004 native models on Avsim as "citybird_fleet.zip". Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. | Omni Air International OAI 1998 AI Flightplans |
|
File Description:
Omni Air International started flying in 1997 with a pair of DC-10-30s while a 3rd was added in late 1998. The airline was operationally based in MSP, with LAS as a "focus city" where Omni maintains a strong presence to this day. OAI did all sorts of flying, from tour group/holiday package flights to LAS and HNL, to military charters(which often used HNL/DFW/PSM/FRA), to large group charters such as for college sports teams. There were also many re-positioning flights to get the aircraft to/from the next/last charter. I used to see them frequently at SFO, and obviously MSP. These representative plans are based on a combination of photos, what I remember seeing myself at the time, and information from a friend who was an Omni flight attendant at the time as to specific routes and happenings at the company in the late 1990s. AIM DC-10-30 texture by Jason King is on Avism as "aim_dc1030_omni_air_international.zip". Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. | ALM Antillean Airlines 1998 |
|
File Description:
In 1998, ALM was just 3 years from failure. The airline was operating 3 MD-82s and 4 DHC-8-300s mostly from CUR onwards to nearby nations as well as to ATL and MIA, while frequenting SXM as well. Now, I did the best I could, but this airlines schedule was a mess! It would often show the same flight number being flown at 3 or 4 different times on the same day with slight variation (as in LM810 CUR-BON leaving at 1505, 1510, and 1515 ALL on Friday, which is obviously an error). A very odd schedule. None the less, I was able to put it together with just 1 extra DHC-8-300 which is segregated if you don't wish to include it. The DHC-8s often turn in 10-15 minutes, and the MD-80s in 25-30, so the fleet keeps rather busy. TFS DHC-8-300 repaint by Christian Gold and Antoine Calleja\APG included. The AIA MD-80 texture by Frank Severino may be found on Avsim as: "texture.zip"(not a typo!). Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project.
