CZNL - Nelson - Nelson, British Columbia, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Nelson is a town with a population of around 10,000, located 250 miles or so east of Vancouver on the southern shore of an east-west offshoot of Kootenay Lake. The surrounding landscape can be described as "steep" without fear of contradiction, and the diagram of arrival and departure routes (included here) shows that straight finals to either end of the runway are non-existant. The airport is right beside the water, with a single runway 3,100 feet long and 75 feet wide, aligned 04/22. The apron is at the western end. There are a number (3?) of helicopter companies based at the western end of the apron, and there is also a terminal building, though there are in fact no regular scheduled flights; there are occasional charters to cater for town events during the summer tourist season. There is no runway lighting, or taxiway or apron lights, so usage is effectively restricted to daylight hours (though not legally stated as such). All circuits are over the water and not the town, though even this means you climb quickly and dog-leg to follow the water until you have gained enough altitude to turn. Winter maintenance is limited. And if all this is not enough you are advised to "watch for wildlife on the rwy". The nature of the surrounding terrain makes AI hit-and-miss; mostly hit. AI Planes will taxi out and then take off, and provided you don't follow them until they fly into a mountain it will all appear normal. Planes that are arriving will appear by magic on their parking spots, as they have crashed before they arrive. To avoid repetitive unrealistic arrivals I have limited the AI to only 3 planes. The scenery includes some of the nearby buidings and landmarks, as shown in the screenshots.

Vision Airlines (RBY - Ruby) Flightplans - some 52-week and some "normal". Download

File Description:
These are fictional flightplans for Vision Airlines (ex Vision Air) of North Las Vegas, USA. There are 2 sets of flightplans, each using a different part of the fleet to the other. One set are plans that operate on the 52-week concept - these contain charters that can be varied every week if you use Matthew Ministry's flightplan swapper routine. The other set fly fixed flights each week (in fact 2 planes fly 24-hour plans, canyon sightseeing) and also include Vision's Boeing fleet that fly military charters via Europe. You can use both sets to get the whole fleet, or either to get a flavour of Vision Airlines. If you want to use just 1 week's charters, you can get the whole fleet but the charters will repeat every week. These plans will add some Dorniers (228, 328TP and 328J) to North Las Vegas (KVGT) and points on Vision's scheduled network, plus the Houston-based 328Jets that fly to Alamogordo. If you use the 52-week system the rest of the fleet will fly charters almost nationwide, limited only by the real-world aircraft's range (so no Miami and no Boston, but KLAX, KPDX and KSEA). They will also operate into many smaller regional and municipal airports.

RPLL Version 8 (Ninoy Aquino Internal Airport, Villamor Airbase, Sangley Airbase and Metro Manila) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Welcome to the latest version of the RPLL and Metro Manila scenery for FS9. This scenery is a a total rework of my previous scenery and contains a more accurate depiction of the entire metropolis. Over 4 years in the making and is the last upgrade for FS9.

This release coincides the first release sometime August of 2006. This scenery covers an area of around 1,400 sq. km. which includes major cities around Metro Manila: from Taytay in the east to Sangley in the west; from Alabang in the south to Novaliches/Caloocan-Bulacan boundaries in the north.
Sangley (RPLS) Airbase has also been redesigned (only the runway and taxiways). The entire Manila Bay coastline from Sangley to Novaliches has been recreated, adding fish-farms, correct coastal shape, breakwaters, reclaimed areas and marine ports. All major roads and river/water systems are also covered in this scenery.

The RPLL airport scenery contains 90 percent of the existing structures plus noticeable buildings around the vicinity including the new Newport City, Libingan ng mga Bayani, Fedex HQ and MIAA offices; and warehouse around rwys 06 and 24. 80 percent of the structures are individually textured. Also included in the package is Nestor d'Angelos Metro Manila buildings.

FSMMoving Map v1.1.0 Download

File Description:
FSMMovingMap 1.1.0 - Compatible with both FS2002 and FS2004

FSM Moving Map is a Freeware software with some neat features. With proper road maps, you will be able to find your road (or lack of) in FS environment, or fly at ease using Sectional or terminal charts. The concept is very simple: you, the user define all the maps... once you are flying, FSMMM will try to locate the best map available, and display it on screen. This can be very useful during VFR Flights.

One of our beta user has described it as "flying like the rich people with fancy GPS units sporting colour map displays" - 'nuff said.

On local PC, this map can be used with FS2004 Kneeboard, or with "MovingMap Launcher". This software can also integrate with FlightSim Manager (v2.8 and above), and work over the network using FSM Lanview (so you can fly on one machine while the map runs on a different PC).

You can find the latest version from: http://www.ranainside.com/

Fouga CM-170 Magister Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Fouga CM-170 Magister. The little Fouga Magister was one of the main primary jet trainer aircraft in Europe in the late 1950s through the 1980s. Over 1,000 were produced, mostly for European countries, but the aircraft were also heavily exported to Africa, Asia, and Central/South America. The Magister saw extensive combat service as a close support aircraft, and is credited with at least one aerial victory (over a DC-3). An 8-LOD model brings this small-but-mighty workhorse to the AI traffic world. This package is the CM-170 in both armed and unarmed variants; with eight models and 60 repaints covering 19 of the 24 known users. Some missing countries simply do not have either serial information or photographs; or in the case of Biafra, the aircraft were destroyed on the ground in combat before they were put in service. The Magister was used for several aerial demonstration teams, but this package concentrates on the operational use of the aircraft; and to that end I include a layered Photoshop template for the truly mad and talented out there (you know who you are). Aircraft, flight dynamics, and all painting by Michael Pearson. Please read the documentation contained in the file.

B29 Superfortress Download

File Description:
The Boeing B-29 was designed in 1940 as an eventual replacement for the B-17 and B-24. The first one built made its maiden flight on September 21, 1942. In December 1943 it was decided not to use the B-29 in the European Theater, thereby permitting the airplane to be sent to the Pacific area where its great range made it particularly suited for the long over-water flight required to attack the Japanese homeland from bases in China. During the last two months of 1944, B-29s began operating against Japan from the islands of Saipan, Guam and Tinian. With the advent of the conflict in Korea in June 1950, the B-29 was once again thrust into battle. For the next several years it was effectively used for attacking targets in North Korea. The B-29, named Enola Gay is the airplane from which the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima in August, 1945. SPECIFICATIONS Span: 141 ft. 3 in. Length: 99 ft. 0 in. Height: 27 ft. 9 in. Weight: 133,500 lbs. max . Armament: Eight .50-cal. machine guns in remote controlled turrets plus two .50-cal. machine guns and one 20mm cannon in tail; 20,000 lbs. of bombs Engines: Four Wright R-3350s of 2,200 hp. ea.

Port McNeill CAT5 in British Columbia, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Port McNeill is at the northern end of Vancouver Island, on the coast and around 20 miles east of Port Hardy. The town population is just over 2,000 and the main industry is logging, followed by sand and gravel quarrying and exporting for the construction industry. Tourism rates third. The airport, a mile or so east of the town, provides a swift connection for nearby islands and the surrounding area to the rest of the west coast, and serves as the HQ main base for West Coast Helicopters. Their newly built large hangar and office accommodation is next to their older hangar to one side of the central public parking area, opposite the club house cum terminal and hangars. There are two runways: 06-24 which is asphalt, 2,400 feet long, and lit; and 11-29 of gravel, 3,650 feet long and also lit. There is some taxiway lighting, but not, for instance, for the connection between runways, which is in real life a ramp up to the gravel runway which is 15 feet higher. There are no regularly scheduled flights and traffic consists mainly of the West Coast helicopters, plus GA and irregular charters, the latter being mostly from Port Hardy.

Airport update for Pudong Intl with New Satellite Terminal (ZSPD) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a reasonably accurate and up-to-date version of Pudong Intl airport and made only for FSX users, not suitable for use in P3D: I have given this airport a complete makeover which now includes the new Satellite terminal S1 and S2, assigned parking as per their website with extra overflow parking, all gates/parking numbered correctly where possible with gates included for the A380 (Gates are 24 at T1, 71,75 at T2, 504 remote stand near S1 on taxiway L2, between taxiway P2 and south of P3 and 170 at S2), taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, extra fuel trucks, drainage channels, support vehicle roads rebuilt, and many other scenery improvements and objects added, airport views are from inside the control tower (when in tower view) I have also added the new runway 15/33 and its taxiways, although not officially in operation yet, i have opened it so AI traffic will use it and be able to get to the terminals, because there are no charts available to me there are no approaches or taxiway designators for this runway, I will try to update the approaches and taxiways for runway 15/33 when the updated charts become available to me, please view the readme before installation.

CropDusterX Compatibility Mod for Alabeo's Pawnee Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This package modifies Alabeo's Piper Pawnee for a seamless use with Lorby-SI's CropDusterX, a dynamic, not mission based crop-dusting module (both payware, to be purchased separately). Both external and VC models were modified as follows : - Lightbar display added just behind the cowling (the bar can be toggled close to the windshield to improve readibility of the dot lines in some harsh lighting conditions) - Control panel for the Satloc equipment added in the VC for easy and immersive use - Dusting agent level window (right in front of the control stick) changes with the load carried by the Pawnee - Dusting works only if : - electrical power is available - spray system switch is on - spray shut-off valve is open - spray fan brake is released - airspeed above 50 kn Alabeo's load simulating gauge is desactivated to allow CDX to run smoothly. This mod also includes small changes/fixes by yours truly : - The radio requires electrical power and radio switch on to emit/receive comms - the spray fan between the landing gear spins if the airspeed is above 50 kn and that the fan brake is released
