File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire IXc BS273, which was one of the Spitfires modified for high altitude interceptions, based at Northolt, 1942, and regularly flown by F/O Prince Emmanuel Galitzine. The prince was a Russian immigrant, a great grandson of Tsar Paul 1. After the Russian revolution, his family fled Russia, ending up in England. He wanted to fly, and when the Russian attacked Finland, he decided to join the Finnish Air Force. However, on hearing his mother was killed in the London blitz, he returned to the uK (via the US and Canada) and joined the RAF, becoming a Spitfire pilot with the Special Service Flight in Northolt. On 12 september 1942, he intercepted a JU-86 above Southampton at 41.000ft and attacked it. The battle went up to 43.000 ft, and was the highest recorded air battle of WWII. His spitfire only had two cannons, and one of them was frozen solid, giving a very unbalanced flight while shooting, combined with excessive vapor trails of his ammunition. It is believed he managed to hit the german aircraft, but in the end it got away safely. However, since the Germans now knew they could be intercepted, they launched no more high altitude attacks on the UK. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

| Fairchild C-82A Packet (Project Phoenix) |
|
File Description:
First and foremost, this aircraft package is dedicated to the memory of the late Paul Mantz, a veteran stunt pilot who gave his life in the making of the 1965, 20th Century Fox movie, “Flight of the Phoenix” starring James Stewart and a strong cast of other well known actors.
This package contains not only the C-82 Packet, but, as a special feature, “The Phoenix” as well. For those of you who have not seen this classic, you are missing a real jewel. It can still be obtained in VHS or DVD at www.amazon.com I highly recommend it.
The C-82 comes in three paint schemes, U.S.A.F., Bush Flying Unlimited, and of course, Arabco Oil. The Phoenix is painted as it was in the movie. Both aircraft have excellent panels built by K. Mitchell and the C-82 possesses a very nice virtual cockpit on par with that found in the C-119; previously released. These are DXT-3 textures with no mip-maps to preserve image clarity. I chose this format in the attempt to maintain a minimal upload/download package size. I will be following up with individual texture replacement packages in 32-bit for those who wish them.
I hope you enjoy this flightsim model as much as I did putting this package together. I could not have done so without the excellent help and work of Daisuke Yamamoto, Herb Morse, K. Mitchell, Mike Hambly, and Brent Hricziscse.
Enjoy! Heather

| B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2344 for The B24 Guy's OH |
|
File Description:
B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2344, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane #1. Flownby Pilot: Lt. Col. James Doolittle, Co-pilot: Lt. Richard Cole, Navigator: Lt. Henry Potter, Bombardier: Sgt. Fred Braemer, Engineer/Gunner: Sgt. Paul Leonard. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Texture, and Damage Files included. Note the three windows in both port and starboard bulkheads. By revev. Enjoy!

File Description: For Manfred Jahn's C-47 with Jan Visser's VVC, version 3.14 repaint of DDA (Dutch Dakota Association) Classic Airlines. The only flying DC-3/C-47 in the Netherlands at the moment. Hopefully joined by her sister (PH-DDZ) in the near future. The new 2018 livery of the DDA Dakota is going back to it's roots, as it royal colours in which it flew in the '50 and '60.
For more info on the real DDA visit there site: https://www.dutchdakota.nl/en/home/ Besides the outside, the inside and the pilot's got a different look. Also added some more details, especially at the tires and gear struts.
The VC textures are repainted to get the cockpit as much in line with the real one. These are repaint only, you need to install the beautiful freeware plane first.

| P-51D Mustang "Upupa Epops" |
|
File Description:
This is a repaint pack only for the WWII Fighters P-51D. P-51D 44-72364 was built at the North American Aviation Inglewood plant in 1944. It was sent into action with the 353rd Fighter Group, 352nd Fighter Squadron, 8th Air Force. The aircraft was flown by Capt. Harrison "Bud" Tordoff, who named it "Upupa Epops", latin for the Hoopoe Bird which has ungainly flight. At war's end Bud Torduff had claimed nine enemy airplanes shot down, one of them an Me-262 shot down while flying "Upupa Epops." After the war the aircraft was sent to the Royal Swedish Air Force, then flew with the Dominican Air Force from 1952 until 1984. Paul Allen, of Microsoft fame, purchased the aircraft in 1999, adding it to his growing muesum, the Flying Heritage Collection. The aircraft immediately went to WestPac, in California, for restoration. During this time period it was restored inside and out, matching every component to every specification of the original, utilizing documents upon documents of information. When the aircraft completed restoration in 2001, it was the most original, most authentic of its type. After several test flights in its factory finish, the original "Upupa Epops" markings were applied. Currently the aircraft can be seen at its newest home, with the Flying Heritage Collection, at Paine Field, near Seattle. Included within this download are two repaints, one portrays exactly how "Upupa Epops" looked when it rolled out of WestPac's shop after restoration, in factory standard, and the second portrays the aircraft complete with markings.

| Dinfia I.A.35-II "Huanquero" |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The IA-35 "El Justicialista del Aire" (renamed "Huanquero" in 1955) was the first design from the Dinfia Organisation of Argentina to enter production and the head of a family of succesful planes that later included the Ia-35 X "Pandora", the "Guarani I" and the turbopowered Ia-50 "Guarani".
A twin-engined all metal (except for fabric covered ailerons) low-wing cantilever monoplane with a high-mounted tailplane with two fins and rudders; and a retractable tricycle landing gear. Powered by two IA 19R "El Indio" radial engines of 750 HP each that allowed a maximum cruise speed of 370 km\h and a maximum range of 1250 KM with a full load of 2300 kg.
The major design was done by Paul Klages under the direct supervision of Prof. Kurt Tank, former Focke Wulf designer who also built the I.Ae 33 "Pulqui II" jet fighter in 1950.
The first series prototype of the Ia-35 made its maiden flight the 21st September of 1953 flown by First Lt. Pilot Connan Doyle, and was followed by a planned production batch of 100 aircraft but in the end less than half of the aircraft were built when production ceased in the mid-1960s.
Most of the Ia-35 Type II were assigned to the "II Brigada Aerea" of Parana to the "II Grupo de Exploracion y Ataque" where remained in service until 1974, when the lasts "Huanqueros" were replaced with the newest Ia-58 "Pucara".
Original 3D modeling (external and internal), flight dynamics, and "A-316" textures by Victor Astiz; sound set by Gary Jones; additional textures and general modding by Damian Radice.

|
File Description:
Focke-Wulf Ta-183 for CFS2
This file you see before you is the complete product of many months worth of work by many people. The Focke-Wulf Ta-183 was a late-war German jet designed to push back the allied advance toward the Rheine by destroying wave after wave of bomber with jet aircraft. Before they could fly, the war ended. Several in-progress models were captured by advancing Russians and taken back to Moscow. After several years, they re-appeared; as the MiG-15!
