KLM Douglas DC-6

File Description:
Having been an operator of the Douglas DC-2, DC-3, DC-4 and DC-5, it seemed only logical that KLM (celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2009) purchased the DC-6 for its long-haul routes. Seemed, because KLM already operated the Lockheed L-049 Constellation, the DC-6's competitor. Nevertheless, Connie and DC-6 marched on together quite well. Enclosed in this package are five repaints of DC-6's during several stages in their life with KLM. The 1957 livery of PH-DPP was an interim-livery (see the 'old fashioned' white lettering and the early-fifties style cowlings). The 1962 livery of PJ-DPI seems to have been an attempt to fit into the new house style of KLM without having to respray the fuselage, as the DC-6 reached the end of its KLM carreer anyway. These are textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-6 (dc6_v20x.zip). Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.

FSX Dynamic Benchmark Package

File Description:
This package provide a means of measuring the performance of FSX in a repeatable and consistent manner. The benchmark is a 5 minute long autopiloted CRJ700 flight that starts just after the aircraft has taken off from KPAE, climbed to 1500ft, and reached 250kts towards the Seattle city center, overflies KSEA then heads directly for Mount Rainier. The idea is to get a good mix of rural / suburban / cityscape, clouds, water, and AI aircraft / boats / cars. Use include assessing the impact of FSX setting changes, the impact of different hardware drivers, hardware setting changes and hardware upgrades on FSX performance. It can also be used to comparing the performance of your system to other similarly configured systems to ensure the performance you are achieving is is representative of what can be expected and to compare the performance of your system to hardware component changes or a new system that you are considering upgrading to yourself.

File Description: Thank you for downloading this scenery. This is a major rebuild of Minneapolis/St Paul International airport. All default elements of the main terminal and cargo ramps have been replaced. The Humphrey terminal as well as runway 17/35 have been added. The included AFCAD will activate rwy 17/35 during normal runway 12's/30's ops. When conditions call for rwy 4/22, traffic will really stack up. Also included are 2 bgl files which add the ILS for rwy 35 and changes some of the ground texture and elevation around the airport. All gates are laid out per the MSP website and sat photos. Version 5 has an all new AFCAD file by AFX with all taxiway signs in place, and all taxiways correctly named. Also parking has been updated to compensate for the Delta/Northwest merger. There are several modifications to the cargo ramps and maintainance areas as well.

Boeing 737-300v2 Base Model (Update2)

File Description:
A Boeing 737-300v2 from AI Aardvark designed especially for AI traffic. Meant to replace the original 737-300 AIA released in 2002, this Version 2 model features much improved frame rate performance and XML flaps on takeoff. Other features include 9 LOD models and moving parts. Very detailed, includes animated gear, flaps & spoilers, antennas, flap canoes and simulated gear bays and specular highlights. Base Model only, includes no textures. Includes optional reflective model. Important! This model will NOT work with textures painted for the original Dec. 2002 AIA 737-300 model. NOTE: This is an update/replacement for the original v2 models uploaded on June 21, 2007. Fixes engine pylons, some smoothing issues, and allows for painting of 737-300's with plugged eyebrow windows. NOTE #2: This is an update of the original update to fix a missing windscreen on LOD 5 and a confused nose gear door. Stay tuned for Update #3 which will fix the new bugs introduced in Update #2!
