FSX/P3D Aloha Airlines DC-3 circa 1958 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-3 in Aloha Airlines colors. The freeware DC-3/C-47 v3 by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Aloha was founded in 1946 under the name of Trans Pacific Airways. With a single DC-3, they offered passenger charter and cargo services between the islands of Oahu, Maui and Hawaii. On February 11 1949 they officially became a scheduled service airline. Their main rival was Hawaiian Airlines, and in 1957 they changed their name to Aloha Airline to better compete against Hawaiian. In 1959 a modern F-27 joined the fleet, which forced the retirement of Aloha's aging DC-3 fleet by the mid 1960s. They also introduced the Viscount 745D in June 1961. BAC-111s were acquired in 1966. However, the British made airliners had limitations in the very humid environment of Hawaii, and in 1967 Aloha ordered 2 Boeing 737-200s with a further 6 in 1968 to replace the BAC-111s. The 737s were destined to become the workhorse of the airline, with over 60 being used by Aloha over the years. Their iconic "Flower Power" livery was unveiled in 1969, and was reintroduced in 2006 on one of their 737 as a retro livery. Due to heavy financial problems caused by various factors, Aloha unfortunately ceased operations on March 31 2008. This DC-3, N2804D, was leased by Aloha in the late 1950s. Textures are DDS DXT5. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE and should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

Dallas Ft. Worth KDFW / DFW, version 3.2 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Thank you for downloading this scenery. This is an extensive upgrade to the default Dallas/Ft. Worth International airport. The brand new Terminal D is added and in use now at DFW. FRF's rendition of this terminal is in no way photoreal or exact as it is in real life. The basic shape and dimensions are correct, but due to the limitations of the building blocks available to me at the time, We were not able to design the curved roof and some other architectural details of the actual building. The gates are generally accurate and I have seen no parking problems so far. The original main terminals remain with new, more accurate jetways. The overhead tramway which circles the entire terminal area has been added. It is not perfectly correct or photoreal, but it is a good basic representation.

An AFCAD is included with accurate parking per the DFW website and AA.com. There is a substantial frame rate hit with full AI traffic and weather enabled, but it is not a slideshow.

Update from v3:
The afcad file for KDFW is all new, made with AFX, and reflects recent updates to the taxiway layout. The new afcad file is no longer "all runways active" due to the incorrect behavior of AI aircraft overflying the main runways when using the 13/31's. The new end-around taxiway at the end of Rwys 17R/C is now in place. The runway 18R/17C extensions are reflected as well as associated new taxiways and signage. Parking changes are now reflected per the DFW website. Visual changes include the midfield hangar change from Delta to American titles, courtesy of Joe Degregorio.

Alaska Airlines "HONORING THOSE WHO SERVE" livery Operated by Horizon Air E175LR (N651QX) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
I am proud to present this very special Alaska Airlines Embraer E175LR, operated by Horizon Air, registration N651QX. This E175LR is the third "Honoring Those Who Serve" aircraft in the Alaska Airlines fleet which pays tribute to US military members, veterans, fallen soldiers and their families. Its unique exterior paint scheme, conceived by a small group of Alaska maintenance technicians, was designed to honor those who serve today, and those who served in the past. The design includes; A red stripe and blue aircraft body to incorporate elements of the American flag, the phrase "Honoring Those Who Serve," displayed on the fuselage, symbolic crests representing the Alaska Airlines Fallen Soldier Program on the starboard side rear cargo door and on the port side of the aircraft behind the aft service door, a "Horizon Air Salutes" medallion near the nose of the aircraft on both sides with the five stars, winglets in red, white and blue representing the flag of the United States and five gold stripes on the engine cowls representing the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. There is also a Sidney Sheldon quote next to the forward passenger entry door reading “My heroes are those that risk their lives to protect the world and make it a better place.” The repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps for best clarity and quality. All of the medallions are hand painted. This is the Version 3 model of the FeelThere Embraer 175. You must own a copy of the Feelthere E-JETS E175 and E195 V3 to enjoy this repaint. A special thank you to all who serve, who have served and to those who gave their lives in service to this country.

FSX/P3D TAI DC-3 1962 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-3 in TAI (Transports Aeriens Intercontinentaux) colors. The freeware DC-3/C-47 v3 by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. In 1946 the French government allowed the creation of some independent air carriers. On June 1 of that year TAI (Transports Aeriens Internationaux) was formed, and was based in Orly, France. Flights began on July 1, with a Junkers Ju-52. The following year they purchased 7 ex KLM DC-4s, along with 3 Bristol 170 freighters. In 1954 DC-6Bs started to replace the DC-4s. Their route network serviced mainly Africa, the Far East, the French Pacific territories, and Australasia. Prior to 1956 their network wa mainly in Africa, and Asia. On May 6, 1960, a partnership was formed with Air France, whereby TAI flew the South Pacific leg of the state carrier’s around the world service via New Caledonia and Tahiti. Later, on September 4 1960, TAI began a Douglas DC-8-32 service from Paris to Darwin via Athens, Teheran, Karachi, Bangkok, Phnom Penh, and Saigon, and on September 12, it inaugurated a route from Sydney to Los Angeles via Noumea, Nandi, Papeete, and Honolulu with the DC-8. On September 14 1961, TAI agreed, in principle, to a future merger with Union Aeromaritime de Transport (UAT). The two airlines integrated their schedules in 1962 and the amalgamation of TAI and UAT was completed on October 1, 1963, resulting in a new airline: UTA (Union de Transports Aeriens). This DC-3, F-BGXN, flew for TAI from 1956 to 1959. Textures are DXT5. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE and should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

FS Flight Builder Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
New version: Updated installer and auto-update functionality along with chart downloaded changes to support browser updated security measures. FS Flight Builder is a utility for general aviation flying that will build flight files for FSX (flt), FSX Steam Edition (flt), and Prepar3D (fxml) based on waypoints and other data either entered manually or imported from SkyVector using the Plain Text Link information. Among other things, you can select your starting position, aircraft, and VFR or IFR flight plan. One of the most interesting features of the application is that it will include a Briefing file, added to the aircraft's built-in kneedboard, that will include departure and destination airport information (runways, frequencies, weather, and charts) as well as navigation frequencies along the route. Have you ever started up flight simulator and wondered “where do I want to go today”? The new Destination Chooser functionality can help to solve that problem. The screen allows you to enter your departure airport and choose various parameters for your destination (like min and max distance, tower availability, ILS availability, runway length requirements, etc.). How to install: *************** Run Setup.exe and simply follow the installation wizard. When you run the application for the first time (make sure your flight simulator is not running), it will build the database from your flight sim data. Be patient. It could take a few minutes. It will attempt to locate your flight sim folder and flight plan folders automatically. If it can't find them, however, you'll need to select them from the options menu. IMPORTANT! Because FS Flight Builder saves to your Flight Sim directories, it MUST be run in Administrator mode. To do this, right-click on the desktop icon, select the Compatibility tab, and check the Run as administrator checkbox. IMPORTANT! The airport and navaid databases for FS Flight Builder are built using Peter Dowson's excellent Make Runway utility and the equally excellent BGL2XML utility from ScruffyDuck Software. The links to these utilities are below. They must be added to the main FSX or Prepar3D folder. Peter Dowson's website: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html ScruffyDick Software website: http://www.scruffyduck.org/bgl2xml/4584282773 It's also important to note that Version 1.7 of BGL2XML is required for Prepar3D V3 and higher.
