| Ontario Small Fields in Canada: #04 Stoney Point (Le Cunff) CRML V1 |

This is the fourth in a series of small airfields in southern Ontario, Canada. It is Stoney Point (Le Cunff) CRML, a field near a small town (Stoney Point) close to Lake St Clair. The airfield has a grass runway of 2,250 feet, aligned 18/36; with trees around the house gardens between road and runway the south threshold is displaced by 250 feet. The markers approximately show the touchdown point north of the runway end. Le Cunff is the family name of the owners, included to differentiate between this and another Stoney Point field, CRJ2. I found the default FS9 airfield at the correct elevation of 625 feet, but sitting on a plateau, despite my Genesis Mesh. This looked so unreal that I have revised this to an incorrect lower elevation of 580. So if you find the airfield sitting in a hole in your installation you now know the reason. After the Republic of the Congo (Leopoldville; since 1965 Kinshasa) gained independence in 1960 from Belgium, the Belgian national airline Sabena continued to operate routes in the country. Plans for the formation of a Congolese airline were delayed due to the Congo Crisis. However, in January 1961 a protocol was signed with Sabena for the creation of a limited liability company to be named Air Congo. On 1961 the company was formed, and incorporated on 28 June with Sabena providing technical assistance and personnel. The initial fleet of Air Congo consisted of ex-Sabena Douglas DC-3s, DC-4s and DC-6s. The first international destinations served by the carrier were Entebbe, Luanda, Nairobi and Ndola. The last "short" DC-6 was disposed of in 1970. Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

| East African Airways Comet 4 VP-KPJ |

File Description:
EAA was jointly owned by the governments of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Working closely with BOAC and needing an effective aircraft to operate opposite BOAC Comets made the airline an early puchaser of the type. This aircraft VP-KPJ, one of two ordered in 1958, was the first to be delivered in July 1960 and inaugerated the Nairobi-London service. So sucessful was the type that a third was soon ordered and the fleet increased to four when a BOAC example was taken on lease. Super VC 10's were ordered to relace the Comets from autumn 1966 but the type soldiered on right up until February 1971 using a leased Dan Air aircraft. VP-KPJ which had become 5X-AAO in April 1964 was found to be suffering from corrosion and was sold to Dan Air for spares in Nov 1970. Requires the DH 106 Comet 4 model by David Maltby

Googly scenery for Mara Serena, Kenya, a small airfield serving the Mara Serena
Safari Lodge in the Masai Mara National park. The original metalled runway has
fallen into disuse and these days a rough dirt runway alongside it is used by
the twice daily flights of Air Kenya Express to and from Nairobi and the
occasional light aircraft.
Flight Simulator 2004 has made no provision for traffic with only a runway
provided and this scenery seeks to redress the situation. The airport has no
ICAO code (MRE is the IATA code) but Microsoft Flight Simulator has created an
unofficial ICAO of HK0A.
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high quality
satellite imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the
added airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing.
You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries,
but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine,
with or without.

This add-on scenery pack for FS 2002 adds 115 airfields to Victoria plus a few to NSW and South Australia, totaling to over 120 in all. The 37 airfields listed below include full detail including accurately placed and sized trees and buildings, static aircraft, fences, cars, roads with cars and streetlights and a variety of other 'eye candy'. The remaining airfields are mostly small minor/private strips and all include runway markers and a windsock but you'll find a few buildings and other scenery at some of them. Rotorheads will also enjoy flying to the 10 included helipads scattered across the area around Melbourne.
This scenery is a 'must have' for anyone who enjoys flying 'Downunder'! THIS NEW VERSION ADDS SEVERAL FIXES, IMPROVEMENTS AND ADDITIONS OVER THE ORIGINAL VERSION.

| Small Airstrip Objects SS FS9 scenery objects |

File Description:
As far as I know, this is the most comprehensive collection to date of small airport scenery objects. More importantly, these are, for the most part, objects that have never before been made available. Most of these objects were suggested by Rob de Vries in the Netherlands, who also provided me with many useful photos on which to base the designs. My thanks to Rob.
Objects include:
* Runway end and side markers in a variety of materials and colors.
* Ground markings of various kinds, including a compass rose, runway & airport closed indicators, and general aviation parking guides.
* Animated wind T, tetrahedron, and wind sock (wind sock by Jörg Dannenberg).
* Segmented circles in two styles and colors, with runway and pattern indicators. (For information on how to use segmented circles, see enclosed FAA document circles.pdf.)
* Weathered asphalt and concrete surfaces.
Most of the objects come in new and weathered versions. In addition, the segmented circles and wind indicators come with and without night lighting. These are standard FS9 scenery objects and can be placed using Instant Scenery or other programs that are able to use FS9 scenery libraries.

File Description:
This is partly part of the Small Ontario Fields series. The airport ICAO was changed from CNZ3 to CYCK in November 2012; I have left it as it was. The runway too remains as it was a few years ago. Chatham is located 50 miles east of Detroit and 150 miles southwest of Toronto, between Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie, and the airfield is southeast of the town. There is a single asphalt runway 5,000 feet long and 75 feet wide, aligned 05/23 in FS9 but in fact in real life now 06/24 due to the wandering magnetic north. The apron is on the northern side of the runway at the eastern end, with added taxiways to cater for newer hangars wearing identical colour schemes. There is fuel, runway lighting, some taxiway lights, visitor parking on the grass, and plane maintenance in the large hangar beside the small terminal building on the north side of the apron. There is a train station in the middle of the town, and no scheduled flights to the airport that is 8 miles away; these two facts may be connected. Ditches along the road and around much of the airfield provide separation, which is why the fences are not continuous. If you are on the runway and find your path to the apron blocked by another plane that is stationary at the hold short, continue past the first turnoff to the threshold markers and turn off the runway and wait. The AI plane will then taxi out and you will have a clear path.
