| PBY Catalina Giovanni Bordé |
|
File Description:
This textures shows the only surviving Catalina in Colombia. It was purchased from de Colombian Air Force (FAC) and restored by the private pilot Giovanni Borde. Sounds easy, but because of unfair situations and envy, it tooks him 13 years to fly the Catalina since he purchased the remains.
Borde flew it over jungles and rivers transporting people and cargo.
The plane was grounded (1996) by the police under irregular conditions (envy the principal) All the charges were withdrawed en after 1.680 days.
The Catalina is still at the Villavicencio airport in good shape and flyable if overhauled.
The only pilot licensed to fly a Catalina in Colombia was Bordé. He died in 2003.

| Lockheed L1011 in the Air America livery. |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Re-upload. Air America, the secret airline operated by the CIA during the Vietnam War graces the famous Lockheed L-1011 during the late 80's. Whether this airline had any connections to the infamous Air America of the war era I do not know nor have I been able to gather any information on it. The livery looks good on Mike Stone's model. The wings, pylon, and engine textures are completely new to this model and better represent the look of the real aircraft. All textures contain a mix of 32 bit 888-8 and DXT3 formats, to insure clarity without loss of frame rates plus custom alphas for realistic reflections. I recommend using the REAL Rolls Royce RB211 soundset from Skysong Soundworks and any L1011 panel by Ken Mitchell which are both available on Avsim. Enjoy !!!

| NAS Whiting Field North Complete AI Package - Version 2 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This freeware AI package, produced by Desmond Burrell in conjunction with Military AI Works updates NAS Whiting Field North with their newly arrived T-6B training aircraft. As the USN and USMC continue to phase out the venerable T-34C, the T-6B Texan II is taking over the role as primary trainer. Three squadrons (VT-2, VT-3 and VT-6) operate the T-6B at NAS Whiting North. All of these units are depicted in this package as well as the small flight detachment based at NAS Oceana which gives orientation flights to US Naval Academy Midshipmen. Included in this package is the excellent freeware scenery for NAS Oceana by John Stinstrom.

| Fokker F27 Mk 300M Troopship |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
New complete Fokker F27 Troopship package containing 4 (four) very detailed external liveries, a new flightdeck, new performance and a heavily modified model detailing the F27 Troopship as it operated with the Royal Netherlands Airforce (RNLAF).The original model design was by Mike Stone. Later changes were introduced by Tom Gibson and Jaap de Baare whereby Jaap de Baare introduced the changes that present the F27 MK 300M Troopship model with fully operational rear sliding doors. Exterior paintschemes by Hans Janssens and Emile Lancee and the new cockpit design by Emile Lancee. The cockpit design is optimized for a single panoramic display. For those people using a tripple display setup to present the full flightdeck there is a special package included to cope with that. This hopefully compensates for the absence of a virtual cockpit. | ARX-6 Roadrunner - Version 2 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The ARX-6 is a single-place Formula One pylon racing aircraft and is built to the specs of the International Formula 1 Air Racing association. Like all Formula One race planes, it is built around the Continental O-200. This is the same 100hp engine that barely powers a Cessna 150 to 100kts but on the small extremely lightweight and aerodynamic airframes of formula one racers the top aircraft can push 300mph. With very few instruments, and less than average ground handling, Formula One aircraft are very clean "no frills" machines that serve only one purpose - flying low, flying fast, and turning left. This all-new package created specifically for FSX includes 14 different schemes, custom sounds and panel. Aircraft and panel by Jason L. Terry. Sounds by Joseph Thompson. Additional schemes by Joshua B. Nyhus, Brady Duros and Mike Vivaldi

| Classic Ships for Lisbon and Santa Maria (Azores) |
|
File Description:
This download for FS9 contains Classic Ship files for use with the Classic Scenery for Lisbon airport available from Tom Gibson's California Classics website: http://www.calclassic.com It also places ships in the waters around the airport of Santa Maria (LPAZ) in the Azores, which was much used as a stopover by aircraft crossing the Atlantic in the classic era.
You will need to have installed the truly excellent Classic Ships Library created by Mike Stevens, which is part of Wolfgang Gersch's Classic Scenery Libraries; this is available here and there is a link to it on the California Classics scenery page. The technique used to place the ships and their wakes is described in David 'Opa' Marshall's 'Add Animated Wakes to Static Ships - An Illustrated Tutorial', which is also available here, and which inspired the present download.
