Myasishchev 3M-T 'Atlant' (atlas)
In the mid 1970's the USA began the development of a re-usable space transport system that soon became universally known as the Space Shuttle. The Soviet Union responded by launching the development of a similar system, known generally as the 'BURAN' (SnowStorm).
To transport the components of the 'Buran' orbiter and 'Energia' space launch vehicle to the Baikonur, Kazakhstan launch site, the Myasishchev OKB proposed using the 3M bomber as a carrier.
Engineering changes to the three 3MN 'Bison-B' tankers selected for conversion to transports included a 7 meter up-swept fuselage extension, twin end plate square vertical stabilizers, and strengthened out-rigger struts.

| Sounds Air, New Zealand - 2 Flights - Sep 2006 |

File Description:
Two little flights - set in the modern era, which is a departure for me - that are replicas of the real-world services offered by New Zealand's "Sounds Air" company. As well as providing scenic flights and charters they also operate timetabled services between Wellington and locations across Cook Straight in the South Island, such as Picton, Nelson and Kaikoura, the latter two being featured here. Their web-site is at ->> http://www.soundsair.com/ <<- and is worth a visit as there is full information relating to the timetables and also some great photographs. The aircraft used in this re-enactment - KLC - is also featured. The FS2004 model - the GA-8 Airvan by Mike Stone - is available at his site:- www.pmstone.com.

| UK Hawks Part3: Battle of Britiain Tribute Complete AI Package |

Military AI Works is proud to present the UK Hawks Part 3: Battle of Britain Tribute Package for FS2004. MAIW pays tribute to "The Few" who fought during one of the most decisive aerial campaigns of World War II, the Battle of Britain. This package adds a specially marked green and brown Hawk aircraft to 19(R) Squadron of the RAF paying tribute to the Supermarine Spitfire aircraft flown by various RAF fighter squadrons during the battle. Also included are flightplans that will depict the historic September 15th flypast of former Battle of Britain fighter stations. NOTE: This package requires both UK Hawks part 1 and 2 to function properly. The ARX-5X (Concept 5) is a single-seat unlimited category aerobatic aircraft built around the 495c.i. 600hp Trace-Orenda OE600 V-8 aircraft engine and designed specifically for freestyle airshow type aerobatics.
Version 2 has a totally new airfile and flight dynamics - the plane can easily handle compulsory competition maneuvers as well as more advanced gyroscopic maneuvers such as lomcovaks and tumbles.
The ARX-5X cruises around 200kts, with a never-exceed speed of 240kts. This FSX native model contains animations, reflections, environment mapping, spec mapping and a full dynamic virutal cockpit. Although it is not a real aircraft it does have several real-world components such as the Chelton Fligh Systems EAU (engine airdata unit) display, and a Hartzell "scimitar" swept blade propeller.
This release is not a quick & dirty update simply "ported" into FSX, it is a full FSX rebuild by the original authors, compiled with XtoMDL and conforming the FSX SDK using dds textures and new modeling techniques for the best overall end-user performance. Includes 2 configs, 7 models, and 20 schemes with a custom smoke system and night time pyrotechnic effects. Aircraft, effects, and panel by Jason L. Terry and Mike VIvaldi. Aditional Skins by Brady Duros and Joshua B. Nyhus.
