McDonnell Douglas F-4C/D Phantom II Expansion #1 - West Coast ANG. This expansion to my released F-4C and F-4D basepacks for AI traffic include several new things. For the F-4C, two new models representing the use of these aircraft well into the 1980s for Air Defence Command roles with various Air National Guard units. For the F-4D, three new models are included for the same representation. Also, Mike MacIntyre's version 1.6 FDE is included for all F-4C/D models from my original basepacks. And finally, sixteen new textures between both base model sets, representing West Coast ANG units from Hawaii, California, and Oregon. This expansion is for the files "nmai_f4c_phantom_ai_traffic.zip" and "nmai_f4d_phantom_ai_traffic.zip", plus their associated updates.

File Description:
Fort Simpson Island is the fifth in a series of airfields that follow (approximately) in a southward direction the Mackenzie River. At the far northern end of the river there is Tuktoyaktuk, then Inuvik, Fort McPherson, Fort Good Hope, Deline, and then Wrigley, all posted. Fort Simpson Island is at 405 feet asl and on the west bank of the the Mackenzie, around 110 miles south of Wrigley at the junction of the Mackenzie and the Liard rivers. The town of Fort Simpson is on an island, and has a population of 1,250 or so folks. The Hudson Bay trading post was established here in 1822. The airport is right next to the town, and has 3,000 feet of gravel runway, though with a displaced threshold of 1,000 feet at each end (unmarked, on gravel) this is effectively 2,000 feet for landing. The Canada Flight Supplement lists the runway as being 100 feet wide; the gravel is definitely far less and the 100 refers to the width in the winter when you are landing on snow and don't care if there is gravel or grass underneath. There are no scheduled flights as these go to the nearby Fort Simpson CYFS. There is a mandatory radio frequency which is for both CYFS and CET4 and in this case I have set the "tower" to "manned" so you will report position and obey instructions. Runway 13 has right hand circuits. I have modified the Ultimate Terrain route for the Mackenzie Highway so that it remains on the west side of the river and does not wander randomly from one side to the other north of Fort Simpson.

one reason or another were not uploaded to Avsim. As a 'Special Bonus' feature, this package also includes,
repaints, models and flightplans for the F-16s and Jaguars based at RAFO Thumrait, as well as a new AFCAD for
Thumrait (OOTH).

FS98 Val-U-Prop Douglas DC-4 Plane and Panel
The FS98 version of this package differs only from the FS2002 version in that it does not contain wing, side and cabin views. Also, a couple of gauges have been changed, including the addition of ACS-GPS (not included). Everything is on the main panel (except GPS) so no tabbing, and the aircraft has excellent flight dynamics by Brian Horsey. The panel is based upon the photographs of Bill Blanchard (main) and Mike of AirNikon (throttles). Aircraft has landing lights and is a fine addition to the Val-U-Prop fleet. This package will take you back to a time when pilots really flew, and the pace was leisurely. From originals by Tom Gibson, Harry Follas and Brian Horsey. By James Underwood

In the mid 1970's the USA began the development of a re-usable space transport system that soon became universally known as the Space Shuttle. The Soviet Union responded by launching the development of a similar system, known generally as the 'BURAN' (SnowStorm).
To transport the components of the 'Buran' orbiter and 'Energia' space launch vehicle to the Baikonur, Kazakhstan launch site, the Myasishchev OKB proposed using the 3M bomber as a carrier.
Engineering changes to the three 3MN 'Bison-B' tankers selected for conversion to transports included a 7 meter up-swept fuselage extension, twin end plate square vertical stabilizers, and strengthened out-rigger struts.

Military AI Works is proud to present the UK Hawks Part 3: Battle of Britain Tribute Package for FS2004. MAIW pays tribute to "The Few" who fought during one of the most decisive aerial campaigns of World War II, the Battle of Britain. This package adds a specially marked green and brown Hawk aircraft to 19(R) Squadron of the RAF paying tribute to the Supermarine Spitfire aircraft flown by various RAF fighter squadrons during the battle. Also included are flightplans that will depict the historic September 15th flypast of former Battle of Britain fighter stations. NOTE: This package requires both UK Hawks part 1 and 2 to function properly. USAF McDonnell Douglas RF-4C Phantom II for AI Traffic. This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and quite a few of the 5,057 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. The RF-4C was the recce workhorse of the USAF and subsequent ANG units from Vietnam, the late Cold War, Desert Storm, and finally retiring in the mid-1990s. This package represents the RF-4C through the entirety of its career with the USAF, with 10 models and 80 repaints. Original FSDS source and paint kit by Nick Black; FDE by Mike MacIntyre, all model/paint kit modifications and release repaints by Michael Pearson.

Two little flights - set in the modern era, which is a departure for me - that are replicas of the real-world services offered by New Zealand's "Sounds Air" company. As well as providing scenic flights and charters they also operate timetabled services between Wellington and locations across Cook Straight in the South Island, such as Picton, Nelson and Kaikoura, the latter two being featured here. Their web-site is at ->> http://www.soundsair.com/ <<- and is worth a visit as there is full information relating to the timetables and also some great photographs. The aircraft used in this re-enactment - KLC - is also featured. The FS2004 model - the GA-8 Airvan by Mike Stone - is available at his site:- www.pmstone.com.
