| KCMH - Port Columbus International - Columbus, Ohio, USA |

File Description:
Port Columbus International Airport in Columbus, Ohio, is a gem of an airport for aviation buffs. It first opened in 1929 at a site chosen by Chales Lindbergh, as part of an air-rail route from New York to Los Angeles. The original terminal building has been restored and is now used for office space. Two of the original three hangers are still in use (I included the third hanger in the scenery). The six hanger Lane Aviation FBO was added in 1935 and has been in operation these 78 years. In 1959 the modern terminal was first built, with additions and renovations to follow. Netjets opened their facilities in 2001. With the exception of the runways, this version of KCMH was built entirely from scratch. This is the first large airport I've done in which all buildings on the field (except for the control tower) are custom made and partly or fully photo textured. I've also made more use of ground photo textures. Many hours went into the creation of Port Columbus International Airport for FS9. I hope you enjoy it. My thanks to Wil Morgan of FRAME-RATE-FRIENDLY Studio (WWW.FRFSTUDIO.NET) for the AI aircraft parking assignments and general testing. The vintage TWA textures for the DC3's are by Dale De Luca.

| Sembach Air Base 1990 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This scenery is a representation of Sembach Air Base in the former West Germany during 1990. At the time, Sembach was host to the 66th Electronic Combat Wing, which was responsible for the home-based EC-130H "Compass Call" aircraft of the 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron, and also had in-direct control of the 42nd Electronic Combat Squadron based at RAF Upper Heyford in the U.K. flying the Grumman EF-111A Raven.
The 66th ECW moved into Sembach during 1986, and spent the next six years flying from there. The role of the aircraft was electronic disruption of enemy radio and radar transmissions, to limit the enemies ability to co-ordinate their own forces and also the transmission of propaganda in an attempt to win hearts and minds.
Sembach was also known as Det.1 of the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing, based at the Twin Bases complex of RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters. The A-10A's of the six squadrons there would regularly deploy to Sembach and other Forward Operating Locations (FOLs) within West Germany, which was a part of their war-time role.
Included in this package are repaints of all six EC-130H's present at Sembach as of April 1990.

| Library Object Manager |
|
File Description:
Library Object Manager is a utility designed to manage your collection of FS9 library objects. It does not work with API Macros (API Manager from ScruffyDuck Software can do that). Functions include importing object information from FS9 library bgl files; from SBuilder, RWY12 and EZ-Scenery. Categorizing objects by user defined category, by library name and by author. Exporting object information so that it can be used by SBuilder, RWY12, Object Placer XML, EZ-Scenery, and SceneGenX. Creating library files from your collection of .mdl objects. A quick placement function to allow you to place objects into your scenery for testing, creating thumbnails etc. A more extensive object placement program (Scenery Maker) which is similar in concept to RWY12 and Object Placer XML. This program is currently in Beta and further developments are planned. It may therefore not work entirely as expected although it has been tested by a number of kind and helpful users. LOM Requires Mirosoft dotNET Framework 2.0; bglxml.exe from Alessandro G. Antonini; FSUIPC from Pete Dowson for the scenery creation function to work; and bglcomp from Microsoft (included in this package). PLEASE read the included manuals before using the program. Support is available from my website www.scruffyduck.plus.com.

| Northern Canada Mining CYOA & CHB3 in Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
These are two airfields in northern Canada, serving two mining operations. The furthest north is Hope Bay CHB3 in Nunavut. It is in a sheltered inlet less than 3 miles from the northern mainland coast and around 65 miles southwest of Cambridge Bay. The owner is Hope Bay Mining Ltd, and their operation mines gold out of a tunnel rather than open cast. The airfield is incorporated into the road that leads north to the sea; traffic is halted by traffic lights when a flight is expected. The runway is 3,000 feet of gravel aligned 01-19 and with PAPI at both ends.
The second airfield serves the Ekati diamond mine and is some 265 miles southwest of Hope Bay, in the Northwest Territories. Ekati was the first Canadian diamond mine and is 195 miles northeast of Yellowknife and less than 20 miles north of a later mine, Diavik (by Sid and Pete). CYOA reflects the relative value of the two mining operations and is far better equipped than Hope Bay. It can be described as an airport while Hope Bay remains an airfield. The runway is 6,400 feet of gravel aligned 36-18 with PAPI and strobe approach lights at both ends. The scale of the mining operation can only be described as huge.

File Description:
Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-7C - repainted by Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-7C base pack with model, sound and panel from the website calclassic.com.
These textures depict N90251 (c/n 45367) originally delivered 1958 to Transports Aeriens Intercontinenteaux TAI as F-BIAQ, later to Madair Madagascar and from 1964 on with UTA for the French Air Force as 85-CB (F-ZBCB) and served for the french nuclear program in the Pacific. Later the DC-7 was equipped with large radomes on top and beneath the fuselage for tracking satellites and missiles. In December 1978 GCA bought the plane, registered it as N90251 and leased to Petroleum AT. From 1979 to 1982 the aircraft was stored and then in September 1986 bought by T & G. Aviation. For conversion to a spray plane, a 25 000 liter tank was brought into the cabin through the entry door in pieces and welded together inside. N90251 served as sprayer in Morocco and after returning to USA in 1995 Roger Brooks from Fairbanks bought the Seven and used it for transporting bulk fuel to remote settlements and mines in Alaska, using the former spray tank.

| Cape Hooper CWFH and FOX-4 DEW Line Station in Nunavut, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Cape Hooper is around 60 miles north of Kivitoo (FOX-D) and 140 miles south of Clyde River CYCY on the northeast-facing coast of Baffin Island. FOX-4 is still in use as a new and mostly-unmanned North Warning System site was established there in 1990 before the DEW line station was closed in 1991. Actually the DEW line station was not "closed" as such, they just stopped using it. The site of FOX-4 is on the top of a bump at the end of one of many long promontories that stick out into the Davis Strait between Baffin Island and Greenland, close to the far eastern end that is called Cape Hooper. There is a gravel runway to the west, down at 65' ASL; it is only just over 3,000' long and most material was delivered by sea to the beach at the southern end of the runway. The runway is signed as
"324T - 144T" as this is Northern Domestic Airspace where all runways are signed "true" and not "magnetic"; it is 013/193 magnetic with a huge magnetic variation of 48.9 degrees in this area where the magnetic field is mostly vertical, and so useless for navigation.

| Mary River CMR2 on Baffin Island in Nunavut Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a very early version of an airfield in Nunavut built to serve an iron ore mine some 100 miles south of Pond Inlet on Baffin Island. In 2004 the airstrip was just being built, with a very basic camp set up for the construction crew who then went on to develop the roads etc in the immediate area. The original plan was for an opencast mine, with ore being transported south on a new (and expensive) railroad link to a new port on the south shore of Baffin Island. This plan was later changed to a (much cheaper) road to Milne Inlet, north of Mary River. And there my story rests, as although production has now started I have no further information about the operating mine. Nolinor currently flies regular supply flights into the camp; the AI here is for the early days. The gravel runway is 4,800 feet long and 150 feet wide, aligned 124T-304T as all runway headings in the north are given as true rather than the unreliable magnetic, which would be 12-30. Runway lighting and PAPI was installed early on and is included here; signage is not and the apron is the early version.

(TEXTURES ONLY)
(ONLY TESTED IN FSX: STEAM EDITION)
So I made a slight mistake in my last add-on (The Northwest Orient Cargo 747-200SF one) where I provided the resources required for advanced animations to be enabled in the POSKY 747 from Rikoooo, since in they default they did not include it. In there, I accidentally added the wrong "Contact Points" line that causes the 2 inner main landing gears to be slightly tilted when on the ground. I fixed it here. To apply the fix, just copy and paste the contact lines inside the aircraft.cfg file, that's it.
I originally supposed to be making 1 single livery for this exact aircraft, which is the 2002 Colors wearing the "Thank you for 41 Years" Sticker, but then went into a rabbit hole and found about the small Yokoso! Japan Sticker in the 2000s, the "BIG express" Decal in the 90s, and also the "Nippon Love Goal" Sticker. So I just had to do it.
I also improved the windows by using the windows from the CLS 747 Paint Kit, and re-arranged them.
Instructions and more information are included in the readme file.
