KLM Douglas DC-3 PK-ALW

File Description:
After the occupation of the Netherlands in May 1940 several KLM DC-3's got stuck in the Dutch East Indies. One of them was PH-ALW 'Wielewaal' ('Oriole'). Although the DC-3 was operated as PK-ALW by KNILM from 1 June 1940 on, she was still owned by KLM and as such flew the shortened "Indies-route" Batavia to Lydda (Palestine, by then under British mandate). On 7 March 1942 PK-ALW was the last civil aircraft to leave the Dutch East Indies when the Japan invaded the island archipel. From then on the aircraft continued its career in Australia, first as a military aircraft and after the war as an airliner, registered VH-INR. The DC-3 still exists (2007) as a static museumpiece of the Queensland Air Museum in Caloundra, Queensland. The repaint of PK-ALW is based on the templates Mark Beaumont created for the MAAM-SIM Douglas DC-3 (passenger version), which were based on Jan Visser's original textures. This repaint has not been tested for FSX but will probably function there as well. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

Lockheed L-749A Constellation TWA 1958

File Description:
FS2004 Lockheed L-749A Constellation TWA 1958. In June 1939 TWA (Transcontinental & Western Air) required a four-engined airliner capable of flying transcontinental US services non stop west to east or with one stop travelling in the opposite direction against the prevailing wind. The specification was drawn up by TWA's major shareholder Howard Hughes and TWA-director Jack Frye. The intial result was the L-49 Constellation, but before the first aircraft was built WWII broke out and the Connie was drafted by the militaries as C-69. After the war the C-69 was renamed L-049 Constellation and delivered to a.o. TWA (27). The L-649 and L-749 Constellations were the first true civil versions. TWA used 12 L-749's and 28 L-749A's from March 1948 till 1967. This particular L-749A, N6001C 'Star of New Jersey', flew with TWA from 24 March 1950 till September 1966. It was scrapped in 1968. This repaint is a much improved version of the one issued in 2006. It has not been tested for the FSX version of Abacus' Constallation but probably will function there as well. These are textures only. MAC's de Havilland DH-104 Dove 1B PH-VLC 1964

File Description:
MAC's third Dove, PH-VLC, displayed in its colour scheme of 1964-1966. It was used for sightseeing flights over Amsterdam and charters. This aircraft has also been leased many times as a VIP aircraft to the AKU (now known as AKZO Nobel). Nowadays Martin's Air Charter Ltd. is known as Martinair. This is a texture only. You will need the wonderful DH-104 Dove model (dh104v1.zip), built by Derek Palmer. Repaint (based on Derek Palmer's textures) by Maarten Brouwer.

KNILM Royal Netherlands Indies Airways Fokker F.XII

File Description:
This Fokker F.XII, the second one built, was ordered by KNILM (Royal Netherlands Indies Airways) and delivered early 1931 to the Dutch East Indies registered PK-AFH. Together with sistership PK-AFI the F.XII operated from its home base near the capital Batavia (since the independance of Indonesia called Jakarta) to various places within the former Dutch colony and abroad. On 8 March 1942 PK-AFH fell into Japanese hands following the occupation of the Dutch East Indies. These are textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Fokker F.XII (f12_klm1_171266.zip). Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

Brooks Fuel Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair

File Description:
These textures represent Aviation Traders' ATL.98 Carvair #20 as she flies with Brooks Fuel Inc. from Fairbanks, AK. Roger Brooks bought the aircraft in December 2002 from Hawkair Aviation Services in Canada. The following 18 months N898AT was subject of a major overhaul. On 31 August 2004 she made her first flight since overhauled and, in August 2006, still soldiers on. These are textures only. Cie. Air Transport ATL.98 Carvair

File Description:
This package contains all four Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvairs which at various times between 1965 and 1972 have been operated by the French airline Compagnie Air Transport, i.g. Carvair #4 F-BMHU 'Henri Malon', Carvair #5 F-BMHV 'Cdt Max Guedj', Carvair #10 F-BRPT 'Commandant Charles' and Carvair #15 'President Gamel'. Initially CAT purchased the Carvairs for the car-ferry service Nice-Corsica, but soon they were also used for medium- and long-haul freight services. These are textures only. Hawkair Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair

File Description:
These textures represent Aviation Traders' ATL.98 Carvair #20 C-GAAH as she looked like when operated by Hawkair Aviation Services Ltd. in Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. Hawkair bought the aircraft in May 1997. For two years C-GAAH's main task was transporting gold ore from a mine near the air strip of Bronson Creek, BC, to Wrangell, AK, until the mine shut down. After having been stored for three years she was sold as N898AT to Brooks Air Fuel at Fairbanks, AK, where she still soldiers on. These are textures only. Hawaii Pacific Air ATL.98 Carvair

File Description:
These textures represent Aviation Traders' ATL.98 Carvair #20 N5459X and #21 N5459M in the livery of Hawaii Pacific Air. Hawaii Pacific Air owned them only less than 2 years (mid 1990-early 1992) after which they were stored at Honolulu, HI, for over 3 years. They moved ownership several times before Airline Marketing Consultants bought them with the aim to ferry them to South Africa. This whole time they retained their Hawaii Pacific Air colours. In the end only N5459M moved to South Africa where, registered 9J-PAA, she is still airworthy, flying for Phoebus Apollo. N5459X stayed in North America. She, too, is still airworthy, flying for Brooks Fuel as N898AT. These are textures only. You will require Jon Walton's freeware Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair (jwat98.zip or jwat98_2k2.zip).
