This package contains 10 modified repaints for Jens B. Kristensen's Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V3.0. Featured are C-54s of USAAF-ATC (personal aircraft of President F.D. Roosevelt) and of the Netherlands Government Air Transport, as well as DC-4-1009s and C-54s (modified to DC-4 standard) of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and DDA Dutch Dakota Association. These are textures only. You will need the FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (DC4_V30X.ZIP). Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.

| Braathens SAFE Douglas C-54A |

In 1946 and 1947 the newly established Norwegian airline Braathens South American & Far East Airtransport A.S. purchased for its medium- and long haul operations on charter basis four ex-USAAF Douglas C-54A Skymasters. Three of them had been converted to DC-4 standard by Texas Maintenance Company (Temco) at Fort Worth, Texas, and featured on the starboard side an enlarged emergency exit. The fourth C-54A was purchased from KLM. Around 1950 the Norwegian authorities concluded that Braathens' operations got increasingly a structural character, read: scheduled, operations and as such became a threat for Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) which was a conglomerate of "state" airlines of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. SAS received all concessions for the international scheduled routes, which meant the end of the use of the Temco converted C-54A's. These are textures only. You will need Jens B. | CAAC Ilyushin IL-18 |

The Il-18 is a four turboprop engined passenger aircraft for medium-long range. The first Kuznetsov NK4 powered flight was on 4 Jul 1957 from Moscow-Khodynka airport, the first Ivchenko AI-20 powered flight on 17 Sep 1958. This plane was produced in series for 12 years and achieved great popularity due to the favourable load factor. The main operator was Aeroflot, but the IL-18 proved a popular plane with airlines behind the former "Iron Curtain". The first operator outside the former USSR was the state airline of communist China, CAAC, who took delivery of 13 IL-18's between 1959 and 1967. Featured are two early production IL-18B's, two IL-18V's (the most common version) and one IL-18E Salon VIP-transport (in fact Mao Zedongs personal aircraft). These are textures only. You will need the FS2004 Aeroproyecto Ilyushin IL-18D (aeroproyecto_il18d.zip; available at Flightsim.com) by Edgar Guinart Lopez. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

| Lockheed L749 Constellation Repaint Templates |

This paintkit is a supplement for the FS2004 Lockheed L-749 project by Team 749 (Manfred Jahn & Co). For this paintkit you will require the Lockheed L-749 Constellation package (lockheed749.zip), containing the folders Lockheed_L749_0 (twin stack exhausts) and Lockheed_L749_1 ("jetstacks" exhausts). In designated folders you will find templates in 32 bit format (incl. Alpha Channel) which form a basis for making repaints of textures of four versions of the L-749 Constellation. The main differences between the textures are the two basic window arrangements and the two exhaust systems. The templates of the L-749's can be used to make repaints for the L-649, L-649A, L-749 and L-749A aircraft. The templates, based on the textures by Manfred Jahn, have been made by Maarten Brouwer. These templates have been tested in FS2004 (FS9) only.

| Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation Paintkit |

Re-upload. FS2004 Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation Paintkit. This paintkit is a supplement for the FS2004 Lockheed Super Constellation series project by Team 1049 - Roland Berger, Volker Boehme, Manfred Jahn, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne, and Stefan Werner. In designated folders you will find templates in 32 bit format (incl. Alpha Channel) which form a basis for making repaints of textures of several versions of the turbo-compound powered Super Constellations. Represented are: R7V-1 (naval transport), C-121C (air force transport), VC-121E (air force VIP transport), L-1049G (overland passenger aircraft) and L-1049G (overwater passenger aircraft), L-1049H (passenger/freighter aircraft), and L-1049C-55-83 (special domestic version of L-1049C passenger aircraft for Eastern Air Lines). The templates of the L-1049G can also be used to make repaints for the L-1049C (overland and overwater) and L-1049E (overland and overwater). The templates of the L-1049H can also be used for the L-1049D. The templates of the R7V-1 can also be used for the C-121G and C-121J. The templates, based on the textures by Manfred Jahn, have been made by Maarten Brouwer. These templates have been tested in FS2004 (FS9) only.

| KLM (1957), Vickers Viscount 803 |

KLM was the first non=Britsh airline to order the Vickers Viscount 800 series. They were delivered in 1957 and were named after aviation pioneers. KLM's nine Viscounts, which were the airline's first turboprop equipped aircraft, were mainly used on the European network. With the introduction of the short- to medium haul Douglas DC-9 jetliners in 1966 the days of the Viscount with KLM were numbered. The whole fleet was sold to the Irish Viscount operator Aer Lingus. This repaint represents Viscount PH-VID 'Otto Lilienthal' in the livery of the 1957-1960 period. These are textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's Vickers Viscount package (viscount_10x.zip) for FSX. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

In November 1966 the Dutch charter operator Transavia Holland started its activities with 2 Douglas DC-6 and 1 Douglas DC-6B aircraft. Despite stiff competition from KLM and Martinair Holland, Transavia was able to conquer a considerable part of the charter and inclusive tours market and expanded its fleet with a several more DC-6B's. In 1968 Transavia became involved in the relief airlift from Sao Tome to Biafra using its fleet of DC-6's. The next year the DC-6's were sold to Flughjalp who continued flying the Biafra missions till January 1970. Featured here are DC-6 PH-TRA (1966 livery) and DC-6 PH-TRB (1968 livery). Today Transavia is a major Dutch low cost and charter airline (owned by Air France-KLM) operating Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 aircraft. These are textures only. You will require Jens B. Air Links started its operations in 1959 from Gatwick,
initially with one and from 1961 with two more DC-3 aircraft.
In 1962 these were replaced by a single Handley Page Hermes,
which became the last still in airline service. In 1964 the
Hermes was replaced by several ex-BOAC Argonauts, acquired
from Flying Enterprise, the Royal Rhodesian Air Force and
East African Airways. They were mainly used for charters
around Europe, as well as special trooping flights for the
Ministry of Defense to Gibraltar, Hanover and the Middle and
Far East. Already in 1965, after the company had been renamed
Transglobe Airways and Bristol Britannias has been purchased,
the Argonauts were written from use and scrapped or used for
fire drills. These are textures only; you will require Jens
B. Kristensen's FS2004 Canadair Argonaut and North Star V3.0
(argo_V30.zip). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

Unfortunately a little error slipped into my repaint for Manfred Jahn & Co's Lockheed L-749 Constellation feat. the VC-121A "Columbine" (columbine_II.zip). The texture enclosed should correct this error. Just drop it into your texture.Columbine_II folder overwriting the bmp wings_t. My apologies for any inconvenience.

| DDA Douglas DC-4-1009 ZS-NUR/PH-DDS |

Re-upload. FSX/FS2004 DDA Douglas DC-4-1009 ZS-NUR/PH-DDS. This aircraft originally flew with South African Airways from 1946 till 1966, and a short interlude from 1968 till 1970, as ZS-AUA 'Tafelberg'. From 1966 till 1995 the DC-4 flew as a transport and later an electronics warfare aircraft with the South African Air Force, called 'Spook'. Its registration was 6901. In 1995 the aircraft was sold to Aero Air (Pty) Ltd as ZS-NUR. In 1995 the Dutch Dakota Association (DDA) purchased the ZS-NUR, christened 'Skymaster'. The DC-4 arrived at Amsterdam-Schiphol on 5 May 1996. In 1997 she was re-registered PH-DDS. Due to the extremely tight regulations in the Netherlands, the DC-4 returned to South Africa in 2002 as ZS-AUA on long-term lease, first to Springbok Flying Safaris, later on to Rovos Air where she is still current (2008).
