Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 version 2

Demoversion with banners, new VOR gauge, with new PANEL and GAUGES, new external model, sound and virtuall cockpit. The Airbus A380 is a doubledecker, four-engined airliner manufactured by Airbus S.A.S. It first flew on April 27, 2005 from Toulouse, France. Commercial flights should begin in 2006 after 15 months of testing. During much of ist development, the aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX. The A380 is now the largest passenger airliner, topping the Boeing 747, which was the largest for 35 years. However, the Antonov An-225 retains the record of being the world's largest commercial aircraft. The media has termed the A380 a "superjumbo", with some comparing it to Howard Hughes's Spruce Goose. The first A380 prototype was unveiled during a ceremony in Toulouse, France, on January 18, 2005. Its manufacturer's serial number is 001, and is registered as F-WWOW. The new Airbus will initially be sold in two versions: the A380-800, carrying 555 passengers in a three-class configuration or up to 800 passengers in a single-class economy configuration. Expected range for the -800 model is 8,000 nautical miles (14,800 km). The second model, the A380-800F dedicated freighter, will carry 150 tons of cargo 5,600 miles (10,400 km). Airbus made the cockpit layout, procedures and handling characteristics similar to those of other Airbus aircraft to reduce crew training costs. File Description: McDonnell Douglas F-4C Phantom II (Version 2). This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and many of the 5,057 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. This model set is what I originally envisioned when I undertook the modification of Nick Black's F-4E source files. Numerous changes are listed in the extensive documentation with this file. This file contains early, middle, and late F-4C base models; as well as the EF-4C Wild Weasel variant and the F-110A Spectre prototype. The five main aircraft variants include a total of 35 loadout options, and a whopping 77 repaints representing these aircraft in service with the USAF (plus ANG and AFRES) and the Spanish Air Force. I have also included a layered Photoshop paint kit for repainters. Of particular note, I have included a large collection of 58th Tactical Fighter Training Wing repaints from my hometown Luke AFB from the 1970s. This project properly updates my comprehensive (AI traffic) history of this aircraft. I did not do this alone by any means, and all contributors that I can think of are listed in the documentation. This is the complete aircraft, with all main FS textures and effects included. Original FSDS source and paint kit by Nick Black; FDE by Mike MacIntyre, all model/paint kit modifications and repaints by Michael Pearson.

Douglas C-47 (VH-AGU) Adastra Aerial Surveys

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47 VH-AGU of Adastra Aerial Surveys. It was originally constructed for the USAAF in 1944 as a C-47B-35-DK and allocated the military serial 44-76336. In February 1945 it was acquired by the RAAF and allocated the serial A65-72. Operated until 1959, it was then sold to Adastra Airways and converted for civil use. In October 1964 the aircraft was re-registered to Sepal Pty Ltd, but in October 1969 it was acquired by Adastra Aerial Surveys Pty Ltd. Adastra Aerial Surveys was acquired by East-West Airlines Ltd in April 1973 and VH-AGU was re-registered to East-West Airlines on 12 November 1974. East-West won the MLS trials support contract in December 1974 and VH-AGU was re-painted in East-West colours at Tamworth in the month prior to positioning at Melbourne/Essendon for the commencement of the contract on 25 January 1975. At some stage in the late 1970s the aircraft was transferred to South Coast Aviation, another East-West subsidiary. The aircraft was withdrawn from service in August 1979 at Essendon at the conclusion of its Departmental charter, and sold to Aerodyne Pty Ltd of Moorabbin. Since then, it has had several owners, and is still airworthy, flying in a USAF Vietnam war scheme from Morwell, Victoria. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 version 3.14, based on the paintkit by Gman5250.

KNILM Royal Netherlands Indies Airways Douglas DC-5 'PK-ADB'

File Description:
The Douglas DC-5 was a high performance, short range, feederliner quickly eclipsed by the Lockheed Lodestar. The only airline to proceed with an order for the DC-5 was KLM who purchased four for use into Amsterdam. However the invasion of Holland caused their DC-5s to be delivered equally to KLM in the Dutch West Indies and KNILM in the Dutch East Indies instead. By late 1941 all were in the Dutch East Indies, the two ex-KLM WI aircraft (PK-ADC and PK-ADD) retaining their KLM livery. In 1942 one was captured by the IJAAF. The three survivors escaped to Australia. They were soon in use with 21 sqn RAAF and Ansett-ANA supplying ANZAC forces in New Guinea. Impressed by the USAAF 1944-45 they were then designated Douglas C-110s. One returned to Ansett-ANA serving in New Guinea 1946-47 before being sold to New Holland Airways. The prototype was converted to KLM production standard and was based in Seattle as Bill Boeing's corporate VIP aircraft from April 1940. It was impressed by the USN for VIP transport duties in February 1942 becoming the only R3D-3 until its sale for scrap in January 1946. Textures only. This package contains two repaints for Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V3.0. Featured is the C-54A (modified to DC-4 standard) N57670 of Resort Airlines: one repaint representing the aircraft around 1956, the other at the end of its open air storage in 1961. Resort Airlines Inc (of Washington, DC, and Oakland, CA) was a US non-scheduled carrier that specialised in the operation of inclusive holiday tours to the Caribbean and also in military charter flying (Logair). The airline was operative between 1945 and 1960. Its fleet comprised of Curtiss C-46, Lockheed 1049H Super Constellation and Douglas DC-4/C-54 aircraft. Around 1961-62 five C-54s which had been stored at Oakland for some time, ranging from several months to 6 years, were rescued by Aviation Traders (of Southend and Stansted, England) from the scrapdealer's axe and converted to ATL.98 Carvair car-ferry and cargo aircraft. N57670, which was active with Resort during 1954-1956 only and had been deteriorating during the open air storage, was one of these lucky birds.

RAF Bodney - Norfolk, England

File Description:
Originally built as an RAF Bomber Command station the airfield was grass-surfaced and located on slightly rolling land with a hard surface perimeter track.

Initially it was used by aircraft of No. 21 Squadron RAF and No. 82 Squadron RAF (No. 2 Group) Bomber Command. They carried operations over France and later the Netherlands and even Norway. Their Bristol Blenheim IVs were joined on occasions by, in May 1941, 90 Squadron evaluating its new Boeing Fortress Mk 1s some Handley Page Hampdens for mining operations. 90 Squadron suffered heavy casualties and the use of the Fortress I was discontinued. Towards October 1942, the Blenheims were changed to Lockheed Venturas but the squadron moved on to RAF Methwold before the Venturas were operational.

RAF Bodney was transferred to the United States Army Air Forces in the summer of 1943. Placed under the jurisdiction of VIII Fighter Command of Eighth Air Force, it was primarily the home of the 352d Fighter Group, the "Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney". The unit briefly moved to Belgium in January 1945 due to the Battle of the Bulge, although it returned in April. It was closed after the 352d returned to the United States in November.
