Active ILS - KMCO (Orlando International Airport)

File Description:
This is the 3rd Airport in a series of new ILS runways. As most know initiating the ILS at certain airports for AI Traffic is not a function at this time when using AFCAD2. If you add a new ILS runway to an airport such as KMCO (Orlando International Airport 17L/35R) only the user aircraft can use this runway when visibility falls below 3 miles. ATC will no longer use this runway for AI Traffic because FS9 sees it as a visual runway. This will cause ATC to vector your AI Traffic back to 17/35 (old numbers) 17R/35L (new numbers) which is also a Terminal departure runway. This file adds all NAVAIDS for making 17L/35R a Precision Instrument Runway. I have added all the radar fixes for both the ILS approach portion and the proper missed approach procedures, altitudes and intersections as per current published plates. All AI Aircraft will now continue to use 17L/35R when Airport visual conditions are less than 3 miles.

Birmingham International Airport, Birmingham, Alabama (KBHM)

File Description:
An extremely accurate rendition of the KBHM airport with appropriate gate, cargo and general aviation parkin. I've decided to make it a habit to do airports that one doesn't really see much on FS. Everyone does 300 AFCADs of KORD and there's nothing wrong with that it's a great airport but I figured I didn't need to add another KORD or KLAX to the pile unless I'd be providing something the others lack and I can't seem to find it. So, again, I'll be continuing to do AFCADs I feel are lacking or unavailable or not done well. The BHM airport is definetely not a bustling international port of call and it only receives mainline service from a few carriers but it has a decent amount of traffic and I thought it would be good to represent the airport. Thankfully this time MS did a reasonably good job with terminal space and I was able to include every gate in the two concourses. The great BHM website made my job a breeze by indicating which airlines park at which specific gate(s). Every airline is exactly where they should be as is cargo. A ramp for you VFR general aviation buffs is also available. The only time you might notice some craziness is if you start your flight super early in the morning and you have traffic at 95% +. It seems MS doesn't really "turn" planes in a realistic manner so you end up having more planes parked at the gate in the early morning hours then would be there in real life if they adheared to real world turn around times. Nothing I can do about that. Hope you enjoy your virtual trips in and out of the Birmingham International Airport.

Active ILS - KMIA (Miami International Airport)

File Description:
By design KMIA is now the most advanced ATC controlled airport in the FS9 database. This is the 4th Airport and the most complex in a series of new ILS runways. As most know initiating the ILS at certain airports for AI Traffic is not a function at this time when using AFCAD2. If you add a new ILS runway to an airport such as KMIA (Miami International Airport 8L/26R) only the user aircraft can use this runway when visibility falls below 3 miles. ATC will no longer use this runway for AI Traffic because FS9 sees it as a visual runway. This will cause ATC to vector your AI Traffic back to 9L/27R (old numbers) 8R/26L (new numbers) which is also a Terminal departure runway. All 4 runways for KMIA are now simultaneously active for both departure and arrival. In the past only the runways closest to the Terminal were for departure, and arrivals used the outer parallel runways. This no longer applies with KMIA. The many options written in the XML are to numerous to list for KMIA so follow the instructions in the README and just sit back (or fly) and plane spot either VMC or IMC for a very active airport. *** FlyTampa-Miami Scenery AFCAD2 and special ILS bgl also included ***

Auckland International Airport, New Zealand (NZAA)

File Description:
AFCAD2 for Auckland International Airport (NZAA), for use with Shayne Butler's FS2002 Scenery (NzAkFs22.zip). SCENERY NOT INCLUDED! This file is for those of you who, like me, have installed the scenery onto FS9. This file includes accurate Gate and Parking Positions, with improved night lighting, two helipads added (with cool night lighting), totally re-done International Terminal and many many more great enhancements... This file has not been tested with the default airport. Tower views are from the roof of the tower. See Readme for further details of what has been enhanced/modified.

Alexandria International Airport, Egypt (HEAX) Default

File Description:
FS2004 Afcad2 file to replace the default HEAX at Alexandria, Egypt. Not many changes, just the addition of a few more gates, including a Heavy gate and a Cargo ramp. This is an update to the one I posted yesterday. I discovered I missed a taxiway from one of the gates. Put it down to old age :O(

Gwinner-Roger Melroe Field Airport (KGWR)

File Description:
TerraModels Scenery Development System by Allen Kriesman was used to create the scenery for Gwinner-Roger Melroe Field Airport (KGWR), North Dakota. Biber Salsa and Steves models were also used to create this scenery. The taxiways were added using the program by Peter Jacobson.

If you add a new ILS runway to an airport such as EHAM (Schiphol 18R/36L) only the user aircraft can use this runway when visibility falls below 3 miles. ATC will no longer use this runway for AI Traffic because FS9 sees it as a visual runway. This will cause ATC to vector all your AI Traffic back to (01L/19R old numbers) 18C/36C (new numbers) which is also a Terminal departure runway. This bgl file adds all NAVAIDS for making 18R/36L a Precision Instrument Runway. All AI Aircraft will now continue to use 18R when Airport weather conditions are less than 3 miles. Avarua - Rarotonga International Airport (RAR / NCRG)

File Description:

Nairobi/Jomo Kenyatta Airport, Kenya (HKJK)

File Description:
Whenever I have searched for files relating to HKJK, I have been rather dissapointed with the outcomes. Most other AF2 files of this airport are severely incorrect. As the North Terminal (Embasaki) is no longer operational for Commercial Flight, I have moved all the gates to the only operational terminal to the south of the runway. General Aviation aircraft now park at "Embasaki". As Kenya Airways (KQ) is Africa's second largest carrier, I have added many ficticious "small" gates to accomodate all the traffic. I have also added several heavy gates to accomodate the steady stream of heavy planes that land at HKJK also. Previously, all these planes would have disappeared upon landing. Finally I have included thin aprons either side of the runway as they would appear in real life. With this file, Jomo Kenyatta Airport will look more like the busy international airport that it is, and less like the rather lifeless airport that it is commonly portrayed as.
