File Description: Tips and Tricks Number 18 - January 2006 Edition. A collection of useful ideas and recommendations to start your New Year off right. Included is the popular "From the E-Mail Bag" department which answers a question of general interest. Additionally, several readers have provided a few items which I think will provide a chuckle or two. Updated indexes by John Burford for the entire series in Excel (xls) and Adobe Acrobat (pdf) formats are included. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Please unzip to a temporary location using the folders option. KILM - Wilmington International Airport - Wilmington, North Carolina (USA)

File Description:
Wilmington International Airport for FS9 John B. Loney, Ray Lunning and Michael Verlin This Airport started out to be a simple stand alone rendering of the public terminal at KILM. Michael and I entered into a correspondence about this when it became evident that Ray Lunning had designed KILM as a complete airport in 2007. This ended in a collaboration by the three authors. Ray Lunning graciously agreed to allow the use of his original files. Michael Verlin contributed additional input and testing to complete the integration of the various components. File Description: Tips and Tricks for FS2004 - An INDEX. This is an index in Excel format (xls) of the popular Tips and Tricks series compiled by David "Opa" Marshall, parts 1 thru 11. The index may be "searched" and "sorted" to display the information you desire. A short guide in .doc format is included to assist those who may not be familiar with Excel. Requires Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet program), which is a part of the Microsoft Office Suite. When the Tips and Tricks series resumes in the Fall of 2005, we anticipate including an updated copy of this Index with each issue. EZ Steam Train Objects Library

File Description:
EZ Steam Train Objects Library. This set of objects will allow you to design your own Scenic Railroad to enhance scenery in FS2004. The library includes straight and curved track, right and left switches, a track end bumper and a turntable. Also included are two Steam Locomotives, touring rail cars, two styles of water towers, a boarding platform, a maintenance shed plus an assortment of signage and other objects needed to build your own railroad. This library was created by John McKeon at the request of David "Opa" Marshall for use in his Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad project (OCSR.zip - available here). Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the easy installation instructions.

USAAF B-24H "Little Warrior" 493rd BG 8th AAF

File Description:
This B-24H-20-FO 42-94812 was produced at the Ford Company's Willow Run plant. It was assigned to the 861st Bomb Sqdn, 493rd Bomb Group, 8th AAF, flying out of Debach, England. On 29 Jun 1944 the 2Lt John H Hansen flew this aircraft on a mission to Quakenbruk, Germany. When flak punctured the fuel transfer system in the bomb bay, "Little Warrior" instantly turned into a fiery blow torch before blowing up over Fallersleben, Germany. All the crew perished. I offer this repaint as a memorial to all those airmen who met with sudden death in the skies of WWII. Textures only, requires the original PAYWARE Alpha-Sim aircraft.

Romanian Air Force 71st Air Base - Campia Turzii

File Description: This freeware AI package, produced by Miljan Korac in conjunction with Military AI Works , features Mig-21 aircraft of the Romanian Air Force based at Campia Turzii Air Base(LRCT). Romania modernized 110 Mig-21 aircraft in period from 1993-2002, but today some 30 to 40 are still active with one squadron flying from Campia Turzii. Package also includes custom made scenery for Campia Turzii (LRCT) with line of static Mig-21s. Montego Bay (Sangster) International Airport

File Description:
This scenery depicts the Sangster International airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This is the busiest airport in Jamaica, and is the home base to Air Jamaica. Included is the Air Jamaica maintenance facilities, as well as the terminal and light craft area along with various other airport structures, and the ILS tower lights out in the ocean off the end of the runway. There are no static aircraft, and I invite anyone to create an afcad file for the abundant aircraft parking spaces at this facility. Also included are some new trees featuring a 3D coconut palm with textures by John de Langristin. This airport is currently under construction with jetways being added, and a few are depicted here.
