File Description:
Lockheed L-1049G Super Constellation V2 - This re-uploaded version integrates the changes of the 20 May 2009 Update pack released elsewhere.

First flown in December 1954, the "Super G" was the most successful and prestigious civil variant of Lockheed's Super Constellation series. It could carry up to 99 passengers, and optional wing-tip tanks holding 600 gallons each enabled it to comfortably fly the popular long-distance routes. Included in the package are four models representing aircraft with and without radar noses and tip tanks.
Natural metal TWA and Eastern textures by Eric Joiner, KLM texture by Marcel Ritzema, panel textures and additional gauges by Diego S. Barreto. Model, VC, and texture basics by Manfred Jahn, panels, gauges, and animations by Hansjoerg Naegele, flight dynamics by Luis Pallas, wingview angles by Bill Tyne and Andreas Trapp, lights and exhaust effects by Roland Berger, checklist and documentation by Volker Boehme, flight test and handling research by Stefan Werner. The 1049 project is hosted by Tom Gibson's Calclassic forum at http://calclassic.proboards55.com.

YUSL Useless Loop Salt Mine and works, Shark Bay, Western Australia Download

File Description:
YUSL Useless Loop Salt Mine - now with bgl textures for ORBX. Useless Loop is located in the Southern Region of Shark Bay, Western Australia and is a closed company town, servicing the Solar Salt Operation Shark Bay Salt which has been in operation since 1968 and whose salt is renowned as the purest in the world. The first half of Useless Loop's unusual name was bestowed upon it by French explorer Henri-Louis de Saulces de Freycinet, who dubbed the area "Havre Inutile" ("Useless Harbour"), because he believed the inviting harbour to be entirely blocked by a sandbar. Model includes salt mining and village site. In real life the airstrip can be used "by permission" or in emergencies. REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

Aerospatiale Concorde - Tribute Video Download

File Description:
It was with sadness that many of us said goodbye to Concorde on her final passenger flight in 2003. This video is a Flightsim tribute to her and the BA/Air France airline crews that flew her over the years. It was my original intention to include footage of the Air France Concorde in this video, but due to my final choice of music, it didn't seem appropriate, so I apologise to our French flightsim colleagues ! If you liked the CS707 video, you will love this one. It is a large, high-res file, but, frankly, anything less wouldn't do! The video captures all phases of flight, including real ATC footage recorded from the final Concorde flight with a farewell message from Mike Bannister. Recording, courtesy of Tony Smith. I am in no way affiliated to PSS - I just ebjoy their aircraft. Enjoy.

Quebec, Canada - Airports with ILS Download

File Description:
First, a .PDF file ( requires the free software Adobe Acrobat Reader ) presenting 2 tables ( one in FRENCH and one in ENGLISH ) which list the airports in the province of Quebec, Canada that have at least one runway that offers the assistance of the Instrument Landing System ( ILS ) to pilots trying to land. Informations such as runway(s) number, lenght and altitude, heading, NAV 1 radio frequency are provided. Also a column that specifies which of the 3 ILS components are available : LOC, GP, DME. Only airports with at least the LOC ( localiser ) AND GP ( glide path ) appear in this list. Unfortunatly the DME component ( distance measuring equipment) is rarely available at the runway level that is. A second .PDF file (Acrobat) lists the airport scenery addons corresponding, when available, to the airports listed in the first file.

Heinkel He-111 Sonderkommando Blaich Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Heinkel He-111 P2 by Aeroplane Heaven, in the colors of the He 111-H6 of Sonderkommando Blaich, 1942. The Sonderkommando Blaich (English: Special detail Blaich) was a German special unit consisting of one Heinkel He 111 medium bomber that raided Free French–controlled Fort Lamy (present day N'Djamena) in the Chad region of French Equatorial Africa in January 1942. The raid against a target located 1,250 mi (2,010 km) from the German-Italian bases in North Africa was a success but, on its return flight, the German plane ran out of fuel and had to make an emergency landing; both crew and plane were rescued a week later. More on this raid here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonderkommando_Blaich. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.

FSX/P3D TAI DC-4 (C-54) 1962 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-4 in TAI (Transports Aeriens Intercontinentaux) colors. The freeware DC-4 (C-54) by Jens B Kristensen is needed for this repaint. The DC-4 was the first long haul aircraft that TAI deployed. With the purchase of the DC-4s, long-haul passenger and cargo routes were launched to many points of the French Empire, including Dakar, Saigon, Tananarive, and Casablanca. They operated nine of their own DC-4s mainly from 1947 to 1955, with two lasting till 1963 when all DC-4s were replaced by the DC-6Bs. The last two that lasted till 1963 were F-BELG, and F-BDRG, the latter of which is represented in this repaint. Textures are 32bit DDS. This aircraft was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

Hatay Airport V2 LTDA Download

File Description:
Highly detailed scenery of Hatay New Airport V2 (LTDA) in The Turkey. Antakya or Hatay, as its official name is today, was founded in 300 BC as Antioch-ad-Orontes by Seleucos Nicator, one of Alexander's generals. Antakya grew quickly to become a city of half a million people and, under the Romans, became one of the main centers of the Christian faith. The city survived a massive earthquake in the 5th century killing 250,000 people. It was later fought over by Persians, Byzantines, Arabs, Armenians, Seljuks, Crusaders and Mamluks. The latter literally wiped out the city and it never regained its former glory. Antakya was part of the French protectorate of Syria until 1939, became independent as the Republic of Hatay for a short period and then joined the Republic of Turkey on 23 July 1939.

Republic P-47D-25 324th FG (83) "Wee Three" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the P_47D-25 Bubbletop by Aeroplane Heaven, in the colors of P-47D-30 44-19726 #83 "Wee Three" of the 316th FS, 324th FG, 9th AF. The name came from its first pilot, who was married and had a small child, hence the "Wee Three". After he finished his tour, the aircraft was re-assigned to Lt John Jasper Yowell jr. On 19 march 1945, while on his 65th mission, to Pforzheim, the squadron was ambushed by a flight of Me-109's. His wingman, John Haun, shot down one Me-109, but Lt Yowell was hit by enemy fire and forced to bail out. Unfortunately, his parachute didn't open. He was found and buried in his parachute by French labourers. After the war, he was reinterred at Arlington National Cemetery. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.

British Farm Strips: Eastbach, Milson, & Nayland Download

File Description:
Three interesting small English farm strips. Nayland is in Suffolk, near Colchester - the main 600m grass strip has a gradient of 8% in its first half: probably the closest you'll get in Britain to one of the French alpine runways like Courchevel or Megève. Milson is in rural Shropshire on the side of a shallow valley; it has both a helipad & a 450m grass strip - most of which is on a fairly gentle 3.5% slope apart from the last 70 feet which rises up more steeply. The two runways at Gloucestershire's Eastbach Farm, on the edge of the Forest of Dean, are also on a slight slope but most of the excitement comes from their short length (250m & 350m respectively) - ideal for microlights and STOL planes. All three airfields are compatible ONLY with LAGO's TerraMesh Part 13 of England & Wales - no other mesh will work.
