File Description:
First pressurized aircraft developped by Embraer, the EMB-121 Xingu (from the name of an Amazonian river) was meant to be a standard FAR23 business twin turboprop, a kind of competitor for the Beech 90 series.Though not being specifically designed for the task, it was essentially bought to become a training aircraft by the French Air Force & Navy. | Douglas XC-112A/YC-112A (DC-6 prototype) |
|
File Description:
In order to meet a USAAF requirement for an improved version of the C-54 Skymaster, Douglas proposed in July 1944 a simple development of the C-54E, combining its unpressurized fuselage with 2100 hp Pratt & Whitney R-2800 C series engines: the XC-112. Soon this idea was dropped in favour of the stretched and pressurized XC-112A. The XC-112A made its first flight on 15 February 1946 and was in fact the prototype of the civil DC-6. Following the first initial testing the aircraft was delivered on 22 June 1946 to the USAAF, designated YC-112A, where it flew 9 years before starting a 21 years spanning commercial career as a DC-6. These are textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's Douglas DC-6 (early version with Curtiss propellers) (dc6_v10.zip).

| Royal Hellenic Air Force, Curtiss SB2C-5 'Helldiver' |
|
File Description:
The Curtiss SB2C replaced the Douglas SBD in Nov of 1943, not well received by most Naval Dive Bomber pilots who didn't think it was a fitting replacement for the sturdy reliable and well-liked SBD. It was called the "Son of a Bitch 2nd Class ", "The Beast" and the "Big Assed Bird". E.B.A. (ÅëëçíéêÞ ÂáóéëéêÞ Áåñïðïñßá / Royal Hellenic Air Force) received more than 37 SB2C-5 since spring of 1949 and used them until the end of the Civil War against communist rebel troops. The last Hellenic "Helldiver" was retired during 1952. Texture set only for an aircraft belonged to 336th Bomber Sqdn. (M.E.B.) of the Royal Hellenic Air Force (E.B.A.) during 1949/50.These textures require the new and beautiful FREEWARE FS9 Curtiss SB2C-4 HELLDIVER by Wolfang 'Wolfi' Faber downloadable at http://www.sim-outhouse.com. Repaint by Manuele Villa.

| EDBW - Airfield Werneuchen |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
In 1945 the airfield was occupied by the Red Army and afterwards used by the 16th Air Army. During the early 1950 s the airfield was expanded under utilisation of the existing infrastructure. By building a 2500m long concrete runway, the necessary conditions to allow the deployment of the IL-28 and Jak-28 bomber squadrons, were created.
Since 1971 the airfield was further expanded, amongst other things special arms depots of the type Granit 2 were built. Simultaneously the reconnaissance aircraft MiG-25 was based in Werneuchen.
In 1991 the airfield was left by the GSSD and afterwards in civil use. Today there are a concrete plant and a solar park in the northern part. The runway was shortened to 1500m.
This scenery shows the airfield situation in a period some when between 2012 and 2013.

| De Havilland DH-81/A Swallow Moth |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The de Havilland DH.81 Swallow Moth was aimed at the low cost sporting aircraft market during the Great Depression. It was a single engined two seat low-wing monoplane; only one was built.
There was separate tandem seating for two, initially open, but later enclosed with a one-piece hinged cabin top. With this enclosure the aircraft was called the DH.81A
The Swallow Moth was first flown by Geoffrey de Havilland on 21 August 1931.Some alteration to the fin followed and the flight testing continued until February 1932. During this time the class B marking E-7 was allocated, but the Swallow Moth never made it to the civil register. Its design influenced later de Havilland aircraft, particularly the 1938 Moth Minor.
Built using FSDS V3.0, Model is fully Animated and has Reflective textures.
Not Tested in FSX

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Bleriot XI by Wings42 in the colors of Bleriot XI-2 F-AZPG, a replica Bleriot XI, based with the Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis in La Ferte Alias in France. Adolphe Pégoud, whose name is on the wings, was a French pilot and flight instructor who became the first fighter ace in WW1. He was the first pilot to make a parachute jump from an airplane, and was the second pilot to fly a loop. He died when he was shot down by one of his prewar German students on 31 August 1915 at the age of 26. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom
