| Fort Graham CBW3 in British Columbia Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Fort Graham is what looks like a very small village on the eastern shore of Williston Lake in northern British Columbia, around 100 miles north of Mackenzie (a previous post). The lake, while not large by Canadian standards, is well over 100 miles long but squeezed in width to a maximum of 5 miles amid the surrounding Rockies. The airfield has a gravel runway of 5,000 feet aligned 13-31 and at 2,230 feet ASL. There is no lighting. The operator of the airfield (and presumably the "village" too) is Finlay River Outfitters, a company that is based in Mackenzie and "outfits" hunting trips in the local area. I have posted this as Fort Graham CBW3, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields" and avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Up to you. If you find a defect, email me.

File Description:
This grouping of 3 gauges main focus is to provide rotary knobs and push buttons for the basic functions on the G1000 so as to remove some of the mouse/cursor work.
Gauge 1- rotary knobs for NAV1 and COM1 adjustment. Buttons for NAV1 & COM1 swap, FD, BARO-sea level and BARO up and down.
Gauge 2- rotary knobs for ALT and FLC speed adjustment. Buttons activate AP, ALT , VS, VS up/down and FLC.
Gauge 3- rotary knobs for HDG and CRS (LOC1) adjustment. Buttons activate AP, HDG, NAV, APR, BC and GPS/LOC1 swap.
These gauges are calibrated for the Baron G58 but will work for other aircraft fitted with the G1000 however the 'sliders' will need recalibrating. The rotaries and buttons will work ok.Unzip the attached file and follow instructions in 'READ THIS.txt'

File Description:
Bryce Canyon National Park (KBCE), Utah, Photo-Scenery (FS9 & FSX)
Despite its name, Bryce Canyon is not actually a canyon that was formed by a river, but rather a giant natural cliff shaped through erosion by wind, water, and ice. Bryce is distinctive due to its geological formations, delicate and colorful pinnacles called hoodoos that are up to 200ft high. The bizarre forms and red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views. Unfortunately the hoodoos are too small for the elevation mesh in flight simulator. But you can enjoy the colors and shape of the cliffs. The cliffs in main region of the park, just south of the airport are partly covered
by snow. But on the southern and western part of the plateau you can enjoy them free of snow. Bryce Canyon is named after the Mormon pioneer Ebenezer Bryce who settled in this area in the 1850s. It was designated as a national park in 1928.
Bryce Canyon Airport (KBCE) just handles small aircraft on a daily basis. But is was actually built to handle larger aircraft in case of emergency. And so on Oct.6th 2000 an American Airlines MD-82 from Denver to Los Angeles made a successful emergency landing after reporting smoke in the cockpit and a loss of cabin pressure.
High resolution versions of this scenery for FS9 and FSX (much sharper, but larger and multiple downloads)are available at www.blueskyscenery.com/CNY_South2West4.html . The screenies are taken from the high-res versions, so expect this version to be slightly more blurry. Thanks to Joop Mak for providing a custom AFCADs that correct airport layouts so that they align with the photo-textures! They are available here: www.blueskyscenery.com/AFCADs.html . | Burke Lakefront Airport (KBKL), Clevland, Ohio |

File Description:
File Description:
This airport was made using Google sketch up 8, Airport Facilitator X and Instant Scenery 2. Burke Lakefront Airport is a general aviation airport located next to Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio. I have made custom 3D buildings using Google sketchup for the airport. This update makes it so that all the buildings will show because some people were having problems with the buildings. All the buildings have photo textures to make it closer to real life. The update also makes it so that the airport ICAO is not included in the airport name and an installer program is included. I put static aircraft on the ramp, airport vehicles and more fuel trucks. I added more parking and fuel spots. I also made a parking lot full of cars. If you choose to start off at a DOCK gate, you will start off inside one of the custom hangars. Starting off or taxiing inside of a hangar will cause a crash (unless you have crashes turned off). I added a helipad located near the FBO. I have also included the aviation high school, that is located at the northeast, and boats that are right next to it in the water. There will be more objects at the airport if your scenery complexity is set to normal (such as vehicles, aircraft, and fuel trucks). Tower view is from the roof of the control tower. This was all made based on Google Earth satellite imagery and Bing Maps. There are no night textures for the custom buildings. These will be added in a future version. Please read the readme for instructions on how to install. You do not need the original file for this update to work. This is for flight simulator X only. By Tyler Lawrence.

|
File Description:
CityBird was founded in late 1996 with the slogan "The Flying Dream" as a Belgian leisure airline with a white MD-11 leased from World and two 767s(one in a white livery and one in the green livery). By 1998, there was also an MD-11 in the full CityBird green colors and 2 in full SABENA titles with Swissair stickers that was operated on behalf of those two carriers to North America and Brazil. The 737s and 2 cargo A300 did not come until the very end of 1999 and are not included in these flightplans. The airline offered 3 classes of service, "Royal Eagle" class(buisness), "Premium Flamingo(premium economy), and "Colibri" class(economy). There was an interesting Just Planes\World Air Routes flight in the cockpit video made about this carrier, if that interests you. Michael Pearson has painted the fleet, the FAIB 767-300 is on Avsim as "faib_767-300_ctb.zip" and the FSPX MD-11 as "fspx_md-11_ctb.zip". Alternatively, Eduardo Villanueva has repainted the fleet on FS2004 native models on Avsim as "citybird_fleet.zip". Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. | ALM Antillean Airlines 1998 |
|
File Description:
In 1998, ALM was just 3 years from failure. The airline was operating 3 MD-82s and 4 DHC-8-300s mostly from CUR onwards to nearby nations as well as to ATL and MIA, while frequenting SXM as well. Now, I did the best I could, but this airlines schedule was a mess! It would often show the same flight number being flown at 3 or 4 different times on the same day with slight variation (as in LM810 CUR-BON leaving at 1505, 1510, and 1515 ALL on Friday, which is obviously an error). A very odd schedule. None the less, I was able to put it together with just 1 extra DHC-8-300 which is segregated if you don't wish to include it. The DHC-8s often turn in 10-15 minutes, and the MD-80s in 25-30, so the fleet keeps rather busy. TFS DHC-8-300 repaint by Christian Gold and Antoine Calleja\APG included. The AIA MD-80 texture by Frank Severino may be found on Avsim as: "texture.zip"(not a typo!). Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. | Omni Air International OAI 1998 AI Flightplans |
|
File Description:
Omni Air International started flying in 1997 with a pair of DC-10-30s while a 3rd was added in late 1998. The airline was operationally based in MSP, with LAS as a "focus city" where Omni maintains a strong presence to this day. OAI did all sorts of flying, from tour group/holiday package flights to LAS and HNL, to military charters(which often used HNL/DFW/PSM/FRA), to large group charters such as for college sports teams. There were also many re-positioning flights to get the aircraft to/from the next/last charter. I used to see them frequently at SFO, and obviously MSP. These representative plans are based on a combination of photos, what I remember seeing myself at the time, and information from a friend who was an Omni flight attendant at the time as to specific routes and happenings at the company in the late 1990s. AIM DC-10-30 texture by Jason King is on Avism as "aim_dc1030_omni_air_international.zip". Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project.
