| Anaktuvuk PAKP Runway and Taxiway Lighting in Alaska |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Anaktuvuk is in Alaska, and this posting adds proper runway and taxiway lighting to the scenery, as shown in the screenshots. There will be runway and taxiway lights visible during the day and at night there will be lit lights that properly illuminate the runway for landing, and at a lower level of brightness the taxiways. Put the bgl's into the existing scenery folder of your previous Anaktuvuk PAKP installation and say yes to replace the existing bgl's that have the same names. Instal the Library objects once and for all by placing the CONTENTS of the Lighting Library scenery folder in your static objects scenery folder and the CONTENTS of the texture folder in the static objects texture folder (which is how I install scenery objects libraries). Alternatively, put them in the scenery and texture folders of your Add on scenery folder, or even in the main scenery and texture folders. They just have to be in related scenery and texture folders that are always active when FS9 is running. If you do all this and there are no textures to the lights then put the library textures into the Anaktuvuk texture folder too; FS9 has done some strange things while I was making scenery so I would never rule out a possibility.
There will be further retro upgrades to other recent scenery that was posted with temporary lighting. Say thank you to Greg Putz for making the lighting.

File Description:
A large number of different models based on the real rotorcraft and with at least one different livery per model (32 in total) / A great variety of animations: All doors (including the clamshell in the rear of the ship). Main rotor, which is fully articulated. Show/hide flight controls feature by a single mouse click. Show/hide passengers feature by a single mouse click. Show/hide pilots feature. Depending if the helicopter is on the ground, with both engines off and the battery switch off, some other objects will show or hide. And much more, find it out yourself! / Clickable Virtual Cockpit; the most important switches and knobs do its job! Engine starter, fuel valves, etc., you name it! / Integration between 2d panel gauges and virtual cockpit gauges, switches and clickspots. Caution and warning messages, depending on helicopter’s conditions and limits. / Instrument backlighting effects at sunset, night and dawn! / Your flight experience will be enhanced by a sophisticated sound system which resembles the Pratt&Whiney PW207D1 Turboshaft Engines. You will be able to enjoy the start up and shuting down sequences for both engines from interior and exterior perspectives; audible transitions between idling, on ground at 100% rpm and also in flight conditions. I have included -as a bonus- a set of two audio files meant to be used beside the BladeSlapSND (Helicopter Blade Slap Sound Gauge) by Stephan Siebertz. / Author: Sergio Kauffman.

| New Vickers VC10 panel, Part 1 |
|
File Description:
This is part 1 of two downloads.
This project is based on David Maltby's panel for the Vickers VC10, model available here: www.dmflightsim.co.uk/vickers_vc10.htm.
The project's aim is to enhance the cockpit experience by re-activating numerous gauges, switches and lights that previously had no function. It also introduces some new gauges and windows that are not in the original model. And, to bring the cockpit procedures as close as possible to the real checklists. To this end it contains voicechecklist files, a cockpit briefing and interactions with the cabin crew including a safety briefing.
The cockpit instrumentation has also been brought up to date with modern requirements and practices. And, as well as a number of new additional windows there is also a new night cockpit. The checklists are taken from the original BOAC flight manual and are extremely detailed as they are designed for a three man crew! So, as a single "sim" pilot you will be very busy! I have made well over 100+ additions and changes making this a comprehensive update. The original model was very similar to how one drives a car. That is get in, turn on the ignition and drive off!! You will find this update very different as it intentionally brings you much much closer to the reality of handling a high performance heavy jet especially one as complex as the elegant VC10!

| Allakaket 6A8 Runway and Taxiway Lighting in Alaska |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Allakaket is on the Koyukuk River in Alaska, 40 miles southwest of Bettles. This posting adds proper runway and taxiway lighting to the scenery, as shown in the screenshots. There will be lights on top of traffic cones visible during the day, just as there are at Allakaket in real life so that pilots can still see them after a snowfall. At night there will be lit lights that properly illuminate the runway for landing, and at a lower level of brightness the taxiway. Put the bgl's into the existing scenery folder of your Allakaket 6A8 installation and say yes to replace the existing bgl's that have the same names. Add the texture bmp's to the texture folder. That's all, and in fact you could try it without the textures in the Allakaket 6A8 texture folder, but read on. | Boeing B314 Clipper for X-Plane 6.40/6.51 |
|
File Description:
Boeing B314 Clipper v1.0 for X-Plane 6.4/6.51- Built for Pan American Airways to expand their Clipper fleet, they also saw service for the US Navy and BOAC. The "clipper" name was appropriate because the Sikorsky S42, the Martin M130 (also available for X-Plane on AVSIM) and the Boeing B314 opened up long distance air lanes in 1930's and 40's the same way that the clipper ships opened up sea trade in the late 1800's. The model flies very well and is as accurate as the limited plans available to me. Due to limitations in shaping airfoils the outside rudders are actually engine nacelles (jets with 5 lb of thrust) and the lower wing is also an engine nacelle. The rear section of the fuselage is actually a gas tank or float section used to get better detail in the fuselage. As all of my models the exterior paint and panel can use a lot of work. What you see here is approximately 6-8 hours of modelling/decorating? work plus 16-20 hours or more of test flights.
Number built: total 12, 6 A314's built with upgraded engines and increased range
Engines: 4 - 1,600 HP, Wright R-2600, Twin Cyclone ,14 cylinder, air-cooled, radial engines. Wing Span: 152 ft. Length: 106 ft Max GW: 84,000 lb. Max level speed: 193 mph Cruising speed: 183 mph Range: 3,500 (5,200 A314) miles First flight: June 7, 1938, last retirement 1951. Ceiling: cruise 13,400, maximum 19,600 feet
Accommodation: 10 crew, 74 (36 night) passengers.

| Salem Airfield Airport (NJ74), NJ |
|
File Description:
Located 01 miles E of Salem, New Jersey on 14 acres of land, Salem Airfield is a private turf strip 2200' in length. The hard surface runway has been removed so have your mesh settings as high as possible to get the most out of landing/taking off on actual terrain. The surrounding area has been highly detailed with as much forestation as possible included to block out the horizon as much as possible considering the many open spaces surrounding the airport. Tie downs are located next to the middle of the runway, look for the marker cones or start in any RAMP_GA_SMALL parking locations. A hangar is available as well, and attendant is on call on NAV2 to open the door. You can start inside the hangar in the DOCK_GA parking spot or outside the hangar in the RAMP_GA parking spot. All parking is for aircraft with wingspans no greater than 40 feet. There is no fuel available. The field is lit for night use, but the windsock is not so check your weather before flying in!
Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person.
This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 004. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

| Alaska Airlines "Honoring Those Who Serve" Boeing 737-800 and 737-900ER |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The Honoring Those Who Serve plane is dedicated to the brave men and women of the US military, as well as veterans of the armed forces and their families. Its unique exterior paint scheme, conceived by a small group of Alaska maintenance technicians, was designed to symbolize remembrance, pride, and appreciation. The design includes a red stripe and blue aircraft body to incorporate elements of the American flag; the phrase "Honoring Those Who Serve," displayed on the fuselage; a symbolic crest representing the Alaska Airlines Fallen Soldier Program to the right of the cargo door; and an "Alaska Airlines Salutes" medallion on the right of the boarding door near the nose of the aircraft, with five stars representing the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. The special livery was created in partnership with Boeing and is featured on two aircraft; N570AS, a 737-800, and sister ship N265AK, a 737-900.
Model developed by Tenkuu Developers Studio, features high resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, rolling wheels, animated thrust reversers with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more. Model design by Hiroshi Igami. Flight dynamics design by Nick Wilkinson, with assistance from David Biggar. Master textures and paint kit by Kyle Schurb. Textures only for the great TDS model. Enjoy!

| Black Cat Catalina PBY5/5Av1.1 for x-plane |
|
File Description:
This update includes improvements to the fuselage shape, addition of retractable wing floats using wheel farings, an improved but not custom panel, improved prop efficiency and more. The PBY Catalina is probably the best known flying boat with over 4000 produced by Consolidated aircraft and licensees. The Black Cat squadrons all done in flat black played havoc particularly for the Japanese in the Pacific. Fitted with radar, with a 15 hour endurance and 2800 mile range they hunted Japanese naval ships by night and bombed or torpedoed them by the hundreds up. There are 6 engine nacelles used in the model, 2 represent the 1200 HP radial engines driving the props, the others are jets with 5 lbs of thrust, 1 is used for the rear fuselage section, 1 is used for the wing pylon, 1 is used for the flare from the fuselage to the vertical stabilizer and the last is used for the forward observation and gunner space. Two are not used. Wing sections are taken up by the main wing and the support spars so there you go. The fuel tanks are used for the side gunner pods since these can be decorated separately. The plane flies very well and is stable as a rock. Takeoffs from water are quite easy as long as you don't dip a wing tip (no floats remember). The Black Cat squadron logo used in the paint scheme is courtesy of http://www.daveswarbirds.com/blackcat/logos.htm and is from the VP-71 Black Cat squadron.

Greece has 15 CH-47D. The 9 of them are upgraded CH-47C to CH-47DG in 1995. The other 6 are CH-47SD. In 1980 Greece ordered 10 CH-47C Chinook. The first arrived in Greece in 1983. The first Greek Chinooks formally were belonged to Iran but after the fallen of Shahs, they were given to Greece. In 1984 took place the first accident of the Greek Chinooks when the ÅÓ-006 had a heavy landing in Samos Island, during the transportation of a radar. After that the 006 was used as a source. The other 9 in the period of 1992-1994 were upgraded to D (Super D). After the Imia night, the Greek Government wanted to order 11 Chinooks helicopter, 9 SD and 2 SD for the Special Forces. Later 7 Chinooks were ordered. They have analogue cockpit and not glass cockpit in order to be same with the old DG. Also they have the better engine T55-L714A (4.868hp). This Chinook package is only for the FSX, but in case you want to fly it on your FS2004,then the majority of the Gauges will not be appeared. The package is complete. Features: model, Virtual Cockpit, new Panel, Sounds, rework Flight Dynamics, two Textures olive green and a dessert camo. The Original Model belongs to Mark Adams & Tom Woods, the reworked Flight Dynamics to Marwan Latif.
