File Description:
Kiwis are a bird that can't fly -- but in 1969 Cliff Tait showed the world that one Kiwi could fly. Setting out as a one-man mission to publicize New Zealand to the world, Cliff and his New Zealand made plane ended up making history. No one had ever attempted to fly solo around the world in such a tiny one-engine plane before. Cliff's book "Flight of the Kiwi" recounts every detail of the flight that captured the attention of the whole world. On the human side, it tells of the warm generosity of those that helped Cliff, especially the world-wide brotherhood of radio "hams" operators and of the maddening obstruction of others -- particularly the Russian officials who denied Cliff permission to land forcing him to break his flight. Above all, this is a stirring story of one man's bravery facing immense odds and winning. North American T-6 Texan (F-BJBF) Air France

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the A2A North American T-6 Texan/Harvard in the colors of North American T-6G F-BJBF of Air France, 1962. Originally built as 41-33931 (c/n 88-14948), it went to the RAF as EX959. It was used by the 20 Service Flying Training School in Rhodesia from January 1943 onwards. After the war, it was transported back to the UK, where it was sold to the Belgian Air Force, where it became H-9. It flew from Brustem until 1959. The Belgian Air Force then sold it to Air France, with 14 other Harvards, for use at its flight school in Pontoise Cormeilles en Vexin, west of Paris. It flew with Air France until 1965, when it was sold to Mr Urbain of Cannes, who flew it in Air Esterel colors until 1971. It then went to the UK, becoming G-AZJD. It remained based at Biggin Hill until 1984, when it went back to France as F-AZDU, being bought by Guy Robert, a former Mirage pilot who recieved his training in the '50's on a Harvard in Marocco. In 2001 it was sold to John Colors SL in Barcelona, but it retained its French registration of F-AZDU. It is still airworthy, based at Sabadell in Spain. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

File Description: South African Air Force Atlas Cheetah. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for Marcel Dassault's signature design of military jet history. Going into production in 1959, this aircraft, in late form, is still in service with several air forces to this day. An original 7-LOD model pays homage to this wonderful aircraft in the flightsim world. This retro AI aircraft package includes the Atlas Cheetah C, Cheetah D, and Cheetah E models in previous service of the South African Air Force; with 22 models and 78 repaints. Original aircraft model, flight dynamics, some effects, and textures by Michael Pearson; tremendous amounts of help from Michael MacIntyre and Frank Safranek.

ATC Voices - Airline Call Signs set 16

File Description:
A collection of 8 new or corrected airline callsigns, for use with Flight Simulator 2004 and FS2002. Installation requires the EditVoicepack software (see http://bevelstone.xs4all.nl/FlightSimulator/EditVoicepack) by Lars Møllebjerg which is also available free download from the usual Flight Simulator download sites such as Avsim. The callsigns included here represent a range of airlines around the world for which flightplans and/or aircraft are available. They are: AEROANDES: Andes Lineas Aereas (Argentina), ALUNK: Air Almaty ZK (Kazakhstan), AVIOSTART: Aviostart (Bulgaria) - improved, GALETA: Air Division of the Eastern Kazakhstan Region Minicipal State Enterprise (Kazakhstan), MEGLA: Mega (Kazakhstan), MIHIN LANKA: Mihin Lanka (Sri Lanka), SKY BAHAMAS: Sky Bahamas (Bahamas), and WESTERN BAHAMAS: Western Air (Bahamas).
