Boeing B-17G "Sentimental Journey" N9323Z Download

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the FSX Wings of Power II Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress, in the markings of the CAF Arizona Wing's B-17G "Sentimental Journey," N9323Z. "Sentimental Journey" rolled off the Douglas assembly line in late 1944, and was accepted by the Army Air Corp on March 13, 1945. Being delivered too late to serve in the European theater, the aircraft was assigned to the Pacific theater for the duration of the war. The aircraft served in the USAF until 1959 when it was put into storage. Within a few months the aircraft was acquired by the Aero Union Corporation of Chico, California and flew thousands of sorties against forest fires as a converted tanker. In 1978 the aircraft was donated to the newly founded Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, and after a local contest the aircraft was named "Sentimental Journey." The decision was made to use the most famous pinup picture of WWII for the nose art, which of course was that of Betty Grable's most tantalizing. Over the years the aircraft has been brought back to its WWII configuration, complete with all turrets, crew positions, bombay, and markings of the 457th Bomb Group. The aircraft makes on average each year an amazing 60 airshow stops nation wide.

ATC Voices - Airline Call Signs set 24 Download

File Description:
A collection of 13 new or corrected airline callsigns, for use with Flight Simulator 2004 or 2002. Installation requires the EditVoicepack software (see http://bevelstone.xs4all.nl/FlightSimulator/EditVoicepack) by Lars Møllebjerg which is also available free download from the usual Flight Simulator download sites such as Avsim. The callsigns included here represent a range of airlines around the world for which flightplans and/or aircraft are available. They are: ADRIA: Adria Airways (Slovenia) - improved, AIRES: AIRES - Aerovias de Integracion Regional (Colombia) - improved, CARZAM: Phoebus Apollo (Zambia), CREOLE: Halcyon Air Cabo Verde (Cape Verde Islands), CUTE: Island Aviation (Maldives), EASTERN SKYJETS: Eastern Sky Jets (UAE), E-WING East Wing (Kazakhstan), FLYING OLIVE: Aerodynamics Malaga (Spain), FLYLINK: Flylink Express (Spain), STARSAWAY: Stars Away Aviation (South Africa), TAT: Tat European Airlines (France) - improved, TRANS MALDIVIAN: Trans Maldivian Airways (Maldives), and VIP TAXI: VIP Air (Slovakia). All of these callsigns have been cross-checked with reliable sources - I do not create non-existent callsigns for badly compiled AI packages for it is obviously more sensible to correct the mistakes in those packages. If you are familiar with EditVoicePack to do not need to read the readme.txt file very carefully, in block capitals or indeed at all, just import these files like you usually do.

B29 Superfortress Download

File Description:
The Boeing B-29 was designed in 1940 as an eventual replacement for the B-17 and B-24. The first one built made its maiden flight on September 21, 1942. In December 1943 it was decided not to use the B-29 in the European Theater, thereby permitting the airplane to be sent to the Pacific area where its great range made it particularly suited for the long over-water flight required to attack the Japanese homeland from bases in China. During the last two months of 1944, B-29s began operating against Japan from the islands of Saipan, Guam and Tinian. With the advent of the conflict in Korea in June 1950, the B-29 was once again thrust into battle. For the next several years it was effectively used for attacking targets in North Korea. The B-29, named Enola Gay is the airplane from which the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima in August, 1945. SPECIFICATIONS Span: 141 ft. 3 in. Length: 99 ft. 0 in. Height: 27 ft. 9 in. Weight: 133,500 lbs. max . Armament: Eight .50-cal. machine guns in remote controlled turrets plus two .50-cal. machine guns and one 20mm cannon in tail; 20,000 lbs. of bombs Engines: Four Wright R-3350s of 2,200 hp. ea.

Fouga CM-170 Magister Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Fouga CM-170 Magister. The little Fouga Magister was one of the main primary jet trainer aircraft in Europe in the late 1950s through the 1980s. Over 1,000 were produced, mostly for European countries, but the aircraft were also heavily exported to Africa, Asia, and Central/South America. The Magister saw extensive combat service as a close support aircraft, and is credited with at least one aerial victory (over a DC-3). An 8-LOD model brings this small-but-mighty workhorse to the AI traffic world. This package is the CM-170 in both armed and unarmed variants; with eight models and 60 repaints covering 19 of the 24 known users. Some missing countries simply do not have either serial information or photographs; or in the case of Biafra, the aircraft were destroyed on the ground in combat before they were put in service. The Magister was used for several aerial demonstration teams, but this package concentrates on the operational use of the aircraft; and to that end I include a layered Photoshop template for the truly mad and talented out there (you know who you are). Aircraft, flight dynamics, and all painting by Michael Pearson. Please read the documentation contained in the file.

RAF Bovingdon EGWX 1955 Download

File Description:
Bovingdon was a London airport of some importance and used as an alternate by (at least) BOAC and Pan Am after the Second World War, partly because its elevation of just over 500 feet made it less subject to poor visibility than London Heathrow. It had been built for RAF four-engined bombers near the village of Bovingdon in Hertfordshire and was used by Bomber Command from June 1942 but transferred to the US Eighth Air Force in August. They only flew operational missions with B-17s for a brief period and after that it was employed for crew training until September 1944 when it became the base for the European Air Transport Service. It was returned to the RAF in 1947 but handed over for use by civilian airlines while retaining significant military roles. The RAF Fighter Command Communication Squadron was based there and in 1951 the USAF assigned the C-47s of the 7531st Air Base Squadron to it, though other USAF types visited in large numbers on a transitory but routine basis. The USAF left in October 1962 but the RAF remained there until the airfield was closed in 1972. This scenery recreates Bovingdon, with period traffic, as it was in 1955.

OSM World: Western Europe Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Read Installation instructions carefully, this is a complex scenery package!

This package includes a "Dev Kit" should you wish to expand it to other areas! Please contact me if you wish to do so! This is community effort! If we all contribute, we will hopefully have the entire world covered one day!

Welcome to OSM World: Western Europe! This is a vector data scenery package covering the western European area. Coastlines, Rivers, lakes, roads, railways, and power lines with detail never before seen! All in an autogen-compatible density! You can see roundabouts, train terminals, harbor areas in a resolution of a point every 10 meters. At this same resolution a vectorial city class places residential (in small and big building variations, depending on surface area) and industrial areas exactly where they are supposed to be. This gives the city areas a resolution far superior to the capacity of FS-2004 default landclass bitmaps, limited to approximately 1 Km x 1 Km squares. OSM World: Western Europe will even give you small roads leading to small towns (even a few houses across)! From big highway intersections, including ramps, to the tiniest rural pathways covering the entire western area! Wherever in Western Europe you fly, there is something to see!

Nigeria Airways 1998 AI Flightplans Download

File Description:
Unfortunately, between the early 1990s and 1998, Nigeria Airways had drastically reduced it's European network, ending service to places like London and Amsterdam and disposing of most of the A310s and DC-10s. Flights to Dubai were now on a charter basis, with the DC-10 only doing a LOS-KAN-JED route once per week. The DC-10 also did maintenance in MIA, so I included a ferry flight there but it usually sits in Lagos unused. A single PW-powered A310-200 and a DC-10-30 were doing the longhaul flights while the A310s and several 737-200s were flying around Africa. There were 3 A310s stored; 2 in Lagos and one impounded in BRU(to become a cafe in 12/99) with none in flying conditions. I have them sitting idle in LOS as in real life, but since they were not in flying condition, they only do a touch and go landing once per week in the middle of the night. I will give them proper parking spots when I do the LOS ADEX eventually, but delete them if you wish. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Repaints are in the Avsim library, filenames included. FSX/P3D Ethiopian Airlines 707-379C 1968 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the 707-379C in Ethiopian Airlines colors. The payware 707-300C by Captain Sim is needed for this repaint. Ethiopian Airlines was established in 1946 by the Emperor Haile Sellassie, and TWA which provided technical and managerial support. Regular operations commenced on April 8 1946 with a fleet of 6 ex USAAF DC-3s. Later in 1950, 2 Convair CV-240s entered the fleet. Then in 1958, the first DC-6B arrived on the scene. On January 1 1959 Ethiopian officially became a member of IATA. The first jet services started in 1963 after the delivery of the carrier's first Boeing 720s. The 720s replaced the DC-6Bs on the European routes. In 1964, Ethiopian started a new pilot training school, installed a large IBM computer system, and also established the largest jet overhaul facility in Africa. 707s, 727s, and 737s, joined the fleet in the ensuing years. Today Ethiopian ranks as Africa's supreme air carrier with a safe and reliable service, notwithstanding the 737 Max 8 tragedy, and has a vast route network. The cherry on top was when in 2014, Ethiopian dethroned South African Airways as the "Best African Airline". Textures are 32 bit dds and DXT5 textures are included as well. This repaint was tested FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3Dv1-3.

File Description:
Sky Airline is an airline based at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, Chile. It is the second largest airline in the country behind rival LAN Airlines. It has international routes to Peru, Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil. It operates under a semi-low cost model, although its service is superior compared to other European or US low cost carriers. It also operates charter flights in Chile and South America. Source Wiki. // Flightplans may be available on AVSIM/Flightsim.com. This works for both FS9 and FSX. Tested in FSX. FS9 model used. For FSX users make sure you have UNCHECKED "Aircraft casts shadows on the ground" under the Aircraft - Exterior Settings in FSX to make any FS9-based model visible during the day! Texture quality; FSX Native: DDS DXT5 with alpha. FS9 Native: BMP DXT3 with alpha. FSX Light Fix included in the DDS night texture. Custom Light Map. Custom Shadows, Highs, Weathering as usual... Included repaint is for the following model; DJC_A319 from DJC. By renaming the texture files to "EvolveAI_A319_CFM_T & EvolveAI_A319_CFM_L" it will also work for EvAI's model. This is a non-reflective model. Model is available on AVSIM and FlightSim.com or on the author/developers site. You need the basekit for this to work!! Do make sure you copy the texture folder(s) in the respective folder.
