This folder contains a repaint for the Hawker Hurricane by Aeroplane Heaven. It shows Hurricane Z5664 of the Dutch East Indies Air Force.
The KNIL (Dutch East Indies Army) had ordered 12 Mk.I's in 1941 but these were never delivered due to a lack of engines. But 39 Hurricanes destined for the RAF in Singapore were diverted to the Dutch East Indies after the fall of Singapore early 1942. They arrived with HMS Athene in Batavia on February 4th 1942, with 4 more arriving with SS Phrontis from Singapore. These aircraft were then taken into service by the RAF and Dutch. The Dutch aircraft, about 12 retained their RAF colours, national insignia were replaced by the orange triangles.
The Hurricane's equipped two units, of which one aimed especially at the defense of Batavia.
They saw action against the Japanese invaders in February and March 1942. There are no pictures known of these aircraft, but there are some records on them. Some were painted in the RAF desert camouflage, others the European camouflage. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.

File Description:
British Airways has been my international airline of choice all my life. It took me across the "pond" to Barcelona and back many times. Such a great airline BA is. So it may go without saying that painting this A320 in British Airways livery was a true pleasure and honor. I chose this particular airframe because it is one of the newer A320's in the British Airways A320 fleet. It was delivered to BA in December of 2002. I also chose it for the interesting registration; G-EUUK. I saw that and thought...EU for European Union and UK for...ok, well that's obvious, right? So, on the tail and the forward gear bay doors is are the letters "UK". Magic, no? I strived for accuracy and detail as much as my skills and tools would permit. I hope I have not failed any of you in that respect with this package. Most of the textures in the repaint are 32-bit with no mipmaps. The wings are DXT3. This is a complete install; Project Airbus A320 IAE model and air files included. Uses default 737 panel and sounds.

The airline was formed in 1948 to undertake freight and passenger charters from Liverpool (Speke) Airport. It also provided joyriding flights in a fleet of twin-engined Avro Anson aircraft. The airline acquired a number of Douglas DC-3s in the early fifties to operate seasonal tourist charters and built-up a network of scheduled services from Liverpool including flights to continental European destinations (Lourdes, Biarritz). In 1957 the airline purchased the larger four-engined Douglas DC-4 with another example purchased in 1958. The first DC-4 charter was flown on 8 January, 1958 between Liverpool and Southend with football supporters. In 1959 the airline introduced the turbo-prop Vickers Viscount aircraft for use on inclusive tour flights. In November 1963 Starways signed a co-operation agreement with British Eagle International Airlines. Operations continued unchanged though, running schedules from Liverpool to Glasgow and Heathrow. However, on 31st December 1963 Starways ceased operating and on 1st January 1964 British Eagle took over all the former Starways routes. The directors of Starways retained the aircraft and formed a separate company named Aviation Overhauls and then either sold or leased the aircraft to other operators. Requires the default Douglas DC-3.

| Caledonian Airways Douglas DC-7C |

Textures only for Caledonian Airways 1961 DC-7C "Star of Robbie Burns" and Caledonian Airways 1962 DC-7C "Flagship Bonnie Scotland". You must have the DC-7C base back installed to fly this aircraft. That can be downloaded at www.calclassic.com. Caledonian Airways leased one SABENA DC-7C in the fall of 1961 and began flights in November, 1961 with G-ARUD "Star of Robbie Burns". That aircraft crashed in April of 1962 during takeoff at Douala, Cameroon. The cause turned out to be malfunctioning elevator spring tabs. Douglas had warned the airlines to fix these spring tabs, but for some reason or another SABENA did not do the work, and Caledonian didn't know about the airworthiness directive. A few weeks after the crash, Caledonian leased another SABENA DC-7C, G-AYRE "Flagship Bonnie Scotland" to resume flights. Caledonian flew out of Prestwick, Scotland, but London Gatwick was their main hub as far as traffic was concerned. These early 1961 and 1962 flights served secondary European cities with safari flights to Africa, pre-packaged flights to holiday destinations like Barbados and Jamaica, and low cost flights to and from North America.

This is a repaint of a Boeing 777-200ER, fictitious registration code CS-TQZ, operated by TAP Portugal, the national airline of Portugal. It has its head office in Building 25 on the grounds of Portela Airport in Lisbon, and has been a member of the Star Alliance since 14 March 2005, the same day on which the company celebrated its 60th anniversary. Its hub in Lisbon is a key European gateway at the crossroads of Africa, South America and North America. TAP's route network comprises 77 destinations in 34 countries worldwide and TAP operates almost 2,000 weekly flights.
This repaint has plenty of clear markings so if you enjoy exterior detail, then you will love this repaint. Yet another terrain mesh package of the European Alps? Well, this one is different in that it is NOT primarily based on the Shuttle Radar (SRTM) data with their incomplete coverage of prominent peaks and ridges. Instead, most of the source data for this project were developed over many months by Jonathan de Ferranti using detailed topographic maps. While Jonathan's work is unrelated to flight simulation he kindly gave me permission to compile his data for use in FS. The result is a wonderful improvement in detail and accuracy over any existing SRTM- or DTED-based mesh file, freeware or commercial (a link to an extensive set of screenshot comparisons is included in the read-me file).
I've compiled the source data at LOD10 (38-m) grid resolution because the coverage area is smaller than most existing mesh files. Thus, anyone can use these files without having to first uninstall their current mesh set. Also included are LOD9 and LO8 buffer mesh files. Note: if you own Austria Professional 2004 with its 1:50,000 scale terrain mesh then you don't need this package!

| Mandarin Airlines 1998 AI Package |

File Description:
Mandarin Airlines was a fully-owned affiliate of China Airlines based in RCTP. Today, Mandarin does mostly regional flying, but 1998 represented the final years of widebody operations for the carrier. The 747SPs were retired soon after, and the MD-11s and 747-400 gradually returned to China Airlines. Mandarin operated most of the US, Australian, European, and Middle Eastern flights for China Airlines at the time. Mandarin aircraft frequently swapped back and forth onto China Airlines routes and vice versa. As Mandarin had a small fleet, I elected to have Mandarin planes on Mandarin routes, but my China Airlines plans will also utilize Mandarin colors MD-11s on China Airlines routes, so the repaints in this file are required for China Airlines 1998. Swap out the aircraft as you see fit. Repaints by the talented Ranmori Scythe included for the FAIB 747-400, 747SP, and FSPX MD-11 included with flightplans by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. File Description:
Sarajevo International Airport (IATA: SJJ, ICAO: LQSA), also known as Butmir Airport, is the main international airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located 3.3 NM (6.1 km; 3.8 mi) southwest of the railway station in the capital city of Sarajevo in the suburb of Butmir. Since the Dayton Accord in 1996, the airport has welcomed a thriving commercial flight business which includes B&H Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Jat Airways, Croatia Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Germanwings and others. In 2006, 466,186 passengers traveled through Sarajevo airport, compared to only 25,000 in 1996. In 2011 Sarajevo International Airport had 599,996 passengers which is more than all of the airports in Bosnia-Herzegovina had together and 6,5% more than in 2010. In 2012 the company has a slight decline in traffic. In 2005 the European branch of the Airports Council International awarded Sarajevo the award of Best Airport Under 1 Million Passengers. I just land in this airport, thank you to Sarajevo approach for a nice job. This file has the right coordinates, with runway 46 meters wide, apron and characteristics of the airport, airport vehicles and buildings.
