Grumman F 14B Tomcat 'Jolly Rogers' Download

File Description:
These are textures ***ONLY*** and are applied to Jeff Dobbing and D.Cattaneo's Grumman F 14B, filename: f14bfs9a.zip; available at http://www.fsfreeware.com/cgi-bin/dcd_a/dcd.cgi I wish to thank these gentlemen for providing us with such a fine model of this aircraft and their kind permission to repaint it. These are 32-bit textures with no mip-maps to preserve image clarity. These textures are the "hi-viz" paint scheme that the CAG (Commander Air Group), XO's, and show aircraft wear. Basic differences are that the stripes on the fuselage under the cockpit are outlined in yellow as are the tail-fins, and the drop tanks are glossy black and carry the same yellow/black stripes as the fuselage does. Also the fins below the engines are outlined in yellow. Instead of a flat black, they use a glossy black on the black areas of the Tomcat. The yellow/black colors do make for a nice contrast. The significance of the yellow and black colors are a carry-over from the early days of VF-84 and when the "colors" were passed to VF-103 after VF-84 was decommissioned VF-103 "show" aircraft carry the full squadron colors in remembrance of VF-84 and past squadrons that carried the "Jolly Rogers" mantel. They are subtle differences in the paint schemes but have some meaning for the squadrons. Enjoy! Heather

MedJet Beechcraft 400A - two versions Download

File Description:
MedJet (not sure if they fly the Beech 400 - in fact not usre that they actually have any aircraft... Websearch kept directing me to a world wide medical insurance plan... so they may use member ambulance services... but did see a couple of photos with Medjet on he side of Lears) Two aircraft- one is an air ambulance the other for medical charter. In case you are like me and use panels with cockpit views, have included two "rear" views of a Beech interior... a rather "business like interior... non-posh ... found a picture of an aircraft interior that was an air ambulance - not a beech - "lifted the Air Stretcher out of the photo and trimed and pasted it to the beech interior to distinguish the two.. so if you choose you can do same for your panel.. I use the same panel for both with the different "rear" view ... just copy the panel and rename it .... in my case... I have panel and panel.1 - with one for charter the other for air ambulance... just make the change in the conifg file... texture= (for the panel) and texture=1 for the the second panel... takes up a bit more space on your HD... but not all that much.. depending on your panel size. If you have any questions or comments.. please do drop me a line [email protected]

HMS Bounty for FSX - VERSION 1.1 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
HMS Bounty for FSX - VERSION 1.1 - Built Specifically for FSX - (separate package required for FS9) by Milton Shupe, Nigel Richards, Rob Barendregt, Sasha Rieger, and Rob Ibey. Helmsman by Craig "Full" Richardson.

HMS Bounty 18th Century Tall Ship square rigger completely wind driven, individually animated and controlled sails, animated flags with direction and wind speeds, animated helm, and Sail Management Window to control all ship functions. Ship responds to wind speeds and direction with yaw, keeling, and pitch depending on sails deployed and yard arm positions. Ambient sounds, variable wind and gale storm sounds, ship's bell, "Salute", anchor weigh/drop all add to immersion.

WILL NOT WORK IN FS9 as it contains FSX native texture formatting and FSX specific sim interfaces. (Separate FS9 package available). BIG NOTE: The latest version of FSUIPC is Required for the HMS Bounty to work. Note: Realism settings should be set to "Hard" for best Wind Effects (Will not work on "Easy" realism in FSX).

Version 1.1 upgrades:
1) Even more realistic wind effects on yaw and roll based on the confluence of sails deployed, wind speeds and direction relative to ship heading, yard arms angle to the wind, and ground speed.
2) Tugboat function added.
3) Corrected lights positions.
4) Documentation updates.

Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress #43-97976 "A Bit o' Lace" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the accu-sim version of the A2A B-17G Flying Fortress. It represents #42-97976 "A Bit o' Lace", which was assigned to the 709th BS /447th BG. The nose art consisted of a cartoon by Milton Caniff. The co-pilot was Lt. John Bauman, a fraternity brother of Milton Caniff. He sent Caniff a detailed idea of the proposed artwork and the sketch was returned with Caniff's annotation: "A Bit-O-Lace for Lt. John H. Bauman, and the rest of the gang, with my best wishes - Milton Caniff NY, Oct. 1944". Nicholas Fingelly, an artist attached to the 709th BS, carried out the work and completed the painting in about six hours and gave Milton Caniff full credit for his his character. Her first crew flew 35 missions over Europe with no injuries, although returning with a good many holes, at times. The closest call was when a piece of shrapnel came up through Navigator's table and "Ike" Eisenhart's arms, but missed him. A surprise souvenir for Ike, which he still has. She flew more missions with different crews, until the april 4, 1945 flight. From the navigator, John Kirkwood: "Right over Kiel, and seconds before the bomb release, I heard the co-pilot say that "This airplane feels funny." Seconds later the tail gunner, who had regained his power of speech, blurted out something to the effect that part of "The tail was gone." A flak shell had gone right through the left horizontal tail, leaving only a partial surface, and completely removing the left elevator. We dropped out of the formation, and tried to drop the bombs, but the electrical system failed. We flew north a minute or so, the plane now in the hands of the pilot. The pilot did not want to drop over Denmark, so we turned out over sea, and dropped via screwdriver. Actually, we were over Schleswig-Holstein, according to my position, but it was close, and Tom did not want to chance killing danes. We flew on, at a reduced speed, far out to sea on a west-south-west course with occasional ETA's to the pilot. Several fighters joined us, and finally we got back to the base, and the runway was cleared for us. A decision had to be made by the pilot: To jump or ride her in.. Tom decided that he could land the plane, so we all congregated to the radio room, and that was that. I might add that none of us had any desire to jump. Most of the photos of 976 were taken after repairs, hence the dark colored rudder and left elevator. As you know, the color prior to the damage was silver. 976 flew one or two missions after that, but I never saw her again, other than in a color photo of the moth-balled fleet in Arizona." Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by A2A.

LFMQ - Le Castellet Download

File Description:
Welcome to Le Castellet Airfield - This airfield is situated few Nm east of Marseille Provence - LFML, in the south of France. On the 1,000 hectares of plateau he acquired between Marseille and Toulon, Paul Ricard, forever motivated by innovation and development, constructed in 1962 the largest private airfield in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

The landing strip at Le Castellet covered a distance of 1,000 metres and allowed for VFR (Visual Flight Rules) operation. Situated on a plateau at the time free of all economic development, it was above all a private airfield. In 1970, the construction of the Paul Ricard Circuit nearby created an economic dynamic for the first time on Le Castellet plateau. In 1972, Paul Ricard invested in improvements to the runway, lengthening it from 1,000 to 1,750 metres, thus rendering it capable of receiving business and private airplanes of up to 38 tonnes.
Over twenty years, Le Castellet Airport saw intense periods of activity due to business and private aviation, notably with the arrival of the first F1 French Grand Prix on the Paul Ricard Circuit in 1971, and more recently, with the creation of the Entreprise Zone at Signes, situated only a few kilometres from the airfield. Stop by for an amazing visit at the medieval village as well, situatued on top of a hill.
Nevertheless, from 1972 to 1999, no investment was made at the airfield. In May 1999, the company Excelis S.A. purchased the site (airfield and circuit) and refurbished and modernised the installations.
A truly amazing place to fly to - I have enhanced the entire apron as it is today, all marking correctly set, acces to runway and the Heli area for the "Eggbeater" fan :) includes the hangar, building and other things around. Hope you'll enjoy your stay at "Le castellet"!

Global 7000 for "iris_easter_eggs_2013_fsx" Download

File Description:
Repaint for "iris_easter_eggs_2013_fsx" by "IRIS Flight Simulation Software" "Bombardier's Global 7000 and the Global 8000 were launched together at NBAA in October 2010 as derivatives of the Global 6000 program. The aircraft completed its first flight Nov. 4, 2016, marking the start of a rigorous flight-testing program. Entry-into-service of the large jet was scheduled in the second half of 2018. The Global 7000 has a four-zone cabin and will carry up to 12 passengers. It features 14 windows on each side of the fuselage - One more than the legacy Global Express and one less than the 6000. The Global 7000 also features the high swept supercritical wing with winglets and a high swept T-tail. As far as performance, the Global 7000 is powered by GE Aviation Passport engines and has a range of 7,400 nm and a top speed of 530 knots. The two GE Passport engines are side mounted at the rear of the aircraft. The Global 7000, which was priced at about $73 million is indeed large. The cabin (not including the baggage compartment) is 54 feet, seven inches long; six feet, three inches tall; and eight feet, two inches wide. Aft of the galley, the passenger area is divided into four distinct living areas. Depending on the layout, they can include a seating area, a dining or meeting area, a cinema room, and a bedroom. In April 2018, the Global 7000 and its cabin won a Red Dot in the Ships, Trains and Planes category of this year’s Red Dot Design Award, ainternational competition conducted annually since 1955 by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany. As judging criteria, the 39-member jury looked at each product’s levels of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics, and durability."

Lear45 Gama Aviation Download

File Description:
GAMA AVIATION repaint and mods of the default fs9 Lear45,repaint was done using a paintkit by Joao Paz,which i modified,to add a bare metal leading edge,to the tailwing, and extended the fin bare metal leading edge,to the top of the fin, like some of the pics i saw on airliners.net. Logo lights and mainwing LE ice lights have been added, the 2d main panel as been reworked,to look more life like, and some switches added. Also included is a brief manual,to show the new switch positions, the mainwing ice & logo lights are set by default to ms standard, but there are alternate lines, that you can activate,in the aircraft & panel.cfg files,if you have the AFG kingair b300 for the lights and project fokker 10070 for a nav/gps switch,in your fs9 system, both aircraft can be found on avsim. I have played around with the flight dynamics, which make it more flyable than the standard out of the box version, also the default lear fin strobe did not come on using the 2d panel light switch,it only came on if you pressed the l key, that i have fixed. Also included are the two modified default schemes,to update the bare metal leading edges and panel lines and alpha channels. All these paints are saved in 32bit for a sharper image,i have not noticed any drop in frame rates, due to these paints.

USAF Lockheed F-80C FT-805 51th FIW Download

File Description:
Lockheed F-80C-10-LO Shooting Star USAF FT-805,C/N 49-805 "Seductive Shirley", operated by the 51th FIW, 25th FIS based at Kimpo Air Base in December 1950 at the Korean War. 51th FIW was tasked to adquired Air Superiority in the combat area, but had great problems with the aparition in combat of the superior MiG-15, after the 1th November 1950. One pilot of the 16 FIS, 51 FIW(LT Russell Brown) was wrong credited with the destruction of one MiG the 8th November; actually this MiG,flew by the Soviet LT Kharitonov of the 72th GIAP landed intact and safely at Antung Airfield. The explosion sighted by Brown was the impact of the drop tanks in the ground.Actually the first kill by the F-80´s full admitted by the soviets was the 11th Nov-1950,by Clyde J. Whaley(16th FIS, 51 FIW):one MiG-15 flew by the pilot Nasonov(KIA)also of the 72th GIAP.The F-80c had also the triste honour to be the first Jet shot-down by one piston fighter; the 19th Jul 1950 one Yak-9D of the KPAFAC(North Korea Air Force)shot-down with his 20mm cannon the F-80C flew by Howard E. Odell(MIA)of the 36 FBS. The Korean war very costly for the F-80C, 277 F-80C were destroyed, 44 by MiGs(and not 17 as say by the propaganda of the time). Finally, 49-805"Seductive Shirley" was shot down by AAA near Sohung, N. Korea Oct 30, 1951.A ideal plane for flight with the Flight1"Sabre Vs MiG"(Missions and campaign in preparation).

DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION AND NOT ANY OTHER ONES BY ROHAN PATEL THIS IS THE AIRPORT AFTER ALL MODERNIZATION PROJECTS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION AND NOT ANY OTHER ONES BY ROHAN PATEL The airport I chose is Long Beach Airport. This airport has been around for many years and has had everything from the Air Force One to the 787 Dreamliner land here! The airport is located between downtown Los Angeles and Orange County and offers a great landing for tourists that do not want to land in the fifth busiest airport in the world, Los Angeles International. The reason why I decided to create this airport was because it is my home airport and I am located only about five miles from it. Also, there is no good freeware FSX scenery for this airport. Features included!: - Modern Terminal with correct gate placements - changed and edited roads and other buildings around airport - added the jetBlue offices on the airport - Cars added (all over the place!!!) - trees added near drop off (California Palm trees)! - baggage cars and other airport cars added. - buses and car parking lots added - "spring street" flight schools and private terminal added. - Vehicles, AI aircraft, grave yard aircraft, and many other static joys throughout the airport! - "Runup" aircraft near runway 34R. - Boeing C-17 facility (no aircraft C17 there) - updated taxi ways and heliports - Airport Service vehicle roads updates and made with help from Google Earth. - Accurate fence, jetblast fence, and boarders of airport. - Cargo terminals added for ups and dhl - Private (gulfstream and other private) jet spots added. - Flight Schools such as Long Beach Flight Academy (one I go to!!!) accurately made. - New taxi ways and terrain - Aflite fuel truck spaces added - Correct runway lengths of 25L - More items you just need to see to believe!!!
