Consolidated B-24D Liberator RAF (BZ862) 160 Sqn J Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Consolidated B-24D by Flight Replicas, adapted for use in P3Dv5. It shows B-24D-10-Cf 42-62885 BZ862 of the RAF. Arrived in the UK in 1943, it was flown to Karachi, arriving there in August 1943. It first flew with 354 Sqn with serial A, before going to 160 Sqn as J. It was based in Minneriya, in present-day Sri Lanka and was used for long distance mine-laying operations. For this, they removed all extra weight and installed three additional tanks in the forward bomb-bay. This aircraft flew a sortie to southern Malaya to drop two British officers near the Kota Tinggi/Johore road on 31-7/1-8-1945, captained by Flt Lt J A Muir RCAF, and was airborne for 24 hrs 10 mins, the longest unrefuelled flight ever made by any Allied landplane in World War II; the distance flown was 3,735 mls (6,013 km). Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Flight Replicas.

North American B-45 and RB-45 Tornado FS2004 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The North American B-45 Tornado was one of the most important American aircraft of the early Cold War period, and one of the least remembered today. It was the first bomber-sized jet bomber in service anywhere in the world, first jet to drop a live atomic bomb, first jet to cross the North Pacific non-stop (Alaska to Japan,) first jet to fly the North Atlantic (with stops), NATO forces’ first and for some time only nuclear deterrent, first reconnaissance plane to fly deep penetration missions over North Korea, the People’s Republic of China, and the Soviet Union, and first aircraft to routinely use in-flight refueling on combat missions. The package includes twenty models and three dozen authentic skins depicting every major variant and numerous minor and sub-variants as they appeared throughout the type’s service life. A detailed manual explains some of the type’s unique operational procedures. Mostly by David Wooster with some help and skins painted by Mick.

International Pan American Airport - Dinner Key, Coconut Grove (Miami), Florida Download

File Description:
"From 1933-1945, Dinner Key in Coconut Grove (Miami), Florida was Pan American Airways Latin American Hub for its Flying Boat fleet. Dinner Key was so named because many families used to come out and have picnic dinners and watch the Sikorsky’s, Martin’s, and Boeing’s leave for exotic ports. In 1950, the terminal became Miami’s City Hall with the surrounding area becoming a marina." For Default scenery.. not tested in others. Uses both RWY12(latest version with all add on libraries included) AND Lago FSE (Payware) Two methods of installing.. which ever works best for you. One - simply drop the Dinner Key folder into your add-on scenery section of flightsim and install according to SOP... start it up..add and activate it close program and start again or TWO - remove the three .bgl files from the scenery file ... the afcad, the exclude, and the rwy12 .bgl and place them in your add-on scenery\scenery file ... then start flightsim.. it will automaticly configure it. the .se2 file goes into LAGO\FSE\Data file (you will need lago for this to work. comments or questions [email protected]

St. George (KSGU) / Mesquite (67L), Utah/Nevada, Photo-Scenery (FS9 & FSX) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Covers the area between St. George, Utah and Mesquite, Nevada. To the north of St. George the Pine Valley Mountains with their foothills of scenic red sandstone loom over the city. St. George Municipal Airport (KSGU) is mostly used for general aviation but is also served by SkyWest Airlines on behalf of Delta Connection. Because of it's location on a mesa this airport can't be expanded and so a new airport is currently being built southeast of the city at the site of an abandoned airfield. The opening is expected in 2011. To the south of the city make sure, you don't miss the Virgin River Gorge where the Virgin River winds thru a long winding canyon in the transition zone between the red rocks of southern Utahs Colorado Plateau and Nevadas Mojave Desert. Shortly afterwards you reach Mesquite which is situated just west of the Arizona stateline. Like nearly all Nevada cities near the stateline Mesquite is home to several Casinos. Mesquite Airport (67L) lies just north of the city. High resolution versions of this scenery for FS9 and FSX (much sharper, but larger and multiple downloads) are available at www.blueskyscenery.com/CNY_South3West6.html . The screenies are taken from the high-res versions, so expect this version to be slightly more blurry. Thanks to Joop Mak for providing custom AFCADs that correct airport layouts so that they align with the photo-textures! They are available at www.blueskyscenery.com/AFCADs.html . CYVP - Kuujjuaq - Quebec, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Kuujjuaq is in northern Quebec at the southern end of Ungava Bay, and 30 miles up the Koksoak River. Kuujjuaq has a population of around 2,400; it was previously called Fort Chimo and in 1830 there was a Hudson Bay trading post established close by, but on the other bank of the river. A nursing station and a school were established in 1948 and the Hudson Bay post moved across the river to the current location. The airport is to the south of the town and, unusally for northern airfields, has two runways. The asphalt runway is 6,000 feet long and aligned 07/25, and the gravel runway is 5,000 feet long and aligned 13/31; 07 has ILS. There is fuel available, both 100LL and JetA, but the 100LL will be in drums and you are required to have your own pump. There are numerous flights that stop at Kuujjuaq; the AI included here has Air Creebec, First Air, Wasaya Airways, and Air Inuit (Kuujjuaq is a maintenance centre for Air Inuit) plus private flights by various aircraft. There is also a flight by my poor representation of a Helicopter Transport Services chopper. There is a float base on the nearby Stewart Lake during the summer months. The base is within the Kuujjuaq control zone, and normally you would talk to the tower and inform them of your intentions, but in FS9 this cannot be replicated.

Exterior Enhancement Pack for the 737-700 NGX Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
**Revised March 20th 2012** After a lot of positive feedback from forum members, and some very constructive pointers and photos from Ryan (aka Tabs), I've revised the bumps to be a bit closer to a real-world appearance. So if you prefer a more exaggerated appearance (deeper lines, higher rivets) you may prefer the first set over this revision. A completely new set of spec files (for shine and reflection) and bump maps (for surface detail) to update the exterior of your PMDG 737-700 NGX. They can be used over any existing livery for the -700 model. The bump files are in 4096 res (default is 1024) so they will use more memory, but have no noticeable effect on performance on my low-end core2 duo system aside from a slightly longer loading time. The package includes two folders; one for the specular files and the other for the bump maps. Simply drop them into the aircraft texture of your choice and you're ready to fly. More detailed instructions for installation are included. The PMDG NGX base pack and 600/700 model expansion are required. Additional before and after photos are posted in the PMDG NGX support forum.

HMS Bounty for FS9 - VERSION 1.1 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
HMS Bounty for FS9 - VERSION 1.1 - Built Specifically for FS9 (an FSX version is available) by Milton Shupe, Nigel Richards, Rob Barendregt, Sasha Rieger, and Rob Ibey. Helmsman by Craig "Full" Richardson

HMS Bounty 18th Century Tall Ship square rigger completely wind driven, individually animated and controlled sails, animated flags with direction and wind speeds, animated helm, and Sail Management Window to control all ship functions. Ship responds to wind speeds and direction with yaw, keeling, and pitch depending on sails deployed and yard arm positions. Ambient sounds, variable wind and gale storm sounds, ship's bell, "Salute", anchor weigh/drop all add to immersion.

WILL NOT WORK IN FSX as it contains FS9 specific sim interfaces. NOTE: The latest version of FSUIPC is Required for the HMS Bounty to work. See the manual for link. Note: Realism settings should be set to "Hard" for best Wind Effects.

Version 1.1 upgrades:
1) Even more realistic wind effects on yaw and roll based on the confluence of sails deployed, wind speeds and direction relative to ship heading, yard arms angle to the wind, and ground speed.
2) Tugboat function added.
3) Corrected lights positions.
4) Documentation updates.

RNAS Twatt (HMS Tern) Download

File Description:
Opened on the 1 April 1941 RNAS (HMS Tern) was used throughout the second world war by various Sqns of the Royal Navy undergoing training. The station had 4 concrete runways with various hangers and the usual building associated with a military base. It was also the first unit in the UK to experience a helicopter crash when a Sikorsky helicopter getting ready for take off; hit a parked Blenheim. The UK and Iceland where involved in what was called the cod wars in the early 1970s, and NATO was concerned that it would have to remove its bases from Iceland should the dispute escalate between the 2 countries and there was talk of Twatt becoming a NATO base. However, this did not happen and the idea was dropped. There was also talk of the unit becoming a base for helicopters supporting the oil industry, however, as a result of the drop in oil prices during the 80s that idea was also dropped. Most of the airfield has been returned to farming now with only the unique Control Tower and a handful of other building remaining. NB: For more detailed history of this unit go to:- https://canmore.org.uk/site/81752/twatt-airfield
