FSX.CFG - Hacking Project - V1 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This file contains all my current knowledge about the Microsoft FSX's fsx.cfg file. I have gathered all publicly known parameters (from internet, through original hacking) categorized and sorted in a crystal clear PDF document. I have documented almost every (known) fsx.cfg parameter in plain English, so that every flightsimmer is fully able to understand and adapt their own fsx.cfg themselves to their own needs. My document includes graphics to explain the complicated "Under-the-hood" FSX features. My documents also maps most FSX menu choices to the fsx.cfg settings visually, so you can see which FSX Menu setting influences which fsx.cfg parameter. The file also contains an Appendix with six different versions of the fsx.cfg file and a SaveSetting file, for pure documentation purposes.

Northwest Airlines Boeing 747-451 New Colors Download

File Description:
Repaint of Project Opensky's (POSKY) excellent Boeing 747-400 aircraft into the new livery of Northwest Airlines. Thank you to Tom Harlaar for letting me use his silver master textures for the fuselage and the engine cowlings. Repaint is semi-photorealistic, ensuring precise accuracy throughout the repaint, and simulating what the actual aircraft looks like in Flight Simulator. The registration of this plane is N676NW, which was the 2nd Northwest 747 to receive the new colors. Repaint includes 32-bit bitmap files for very high detail, a realistic amount of alpha for adding the perfect amount of shine to the aircraft, the mips were removed so the textures are crystal clear and not blurry. Aircraft model features full moving parts including main wheel "bogies", opening doors, animated wingviews, night lighting and more!

Florida's First Coast Terrascene Project Download

File Description:
Do you think they'll let you into the Kings Bay Naval Base? Probably not. Take your boat back south and spend the night on the beach at Fort Clinch. Return the boat in the early afternoon watching out for Navy aircraft carriers coming and going through the inlet. Keep an even sharper eye out for fighter jets and patrol planes as Jax has Naval Air Stations all over the place! Zip down to St. Augustine and check out Castillo De San Marcos and the country's oldest school house. Hurry west to Gainesville to catch a UF college football game. If it ends early enough maybe check out the drag racing near the airport before flying north in the morning to explore a civil war battlefield. Spend a few hours in a raft floating down a 72 degree crystal clear spring before heading back to the real world.

Bell 427 V2.0 - Panel and lights FIX Download

File Description:
I would like to thank to our friend Aldo (co author of VFR on Lario Project) who rang the bell and noticed some annoying issues:

a) I missed the default FS9 lights! A friend of mine was testing some details in the aircraft.cfg file and I have forgotten to rename the lights. If you have A2A Shockwave lights, leave the lights as they are in the aircraft.cfg. I don't have this wonderful addon, so I have the same problem!
b) When I was testing some different panel layouts, I lost my mind and I did not changed the correct call for the panel. If you're curious, in the aircraft.cfg file, all liveries call a panel named "crystal"; which of course does not exist. This cause that no panel would be loaded... I am sorry.

However, everything can be fixed and this is the solution for both issues.

Colorado Lakes Project II Download

File Description:
This project features the Blue Mesa Reservoir and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and adds over 300 highly detailed lakes to the central portion of western Colorado. Three reservoirs, named for corresponding dams on the Gunnison River, form the heart of Curecanti National Recreation Area. Panoramic mesas, fjord-like reservoirs, and deep, steep and narrow canyons abound. Blue Mesa Reservoir is Colorado's largest body of water, and is the largest Kokanee Salmon fishery in the United States. Morrow Point Reservoir is the beginning of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and below it is Crystal Reservoir. These lakes are specifically designed to show off their photo realistic detail when used in combination with "FSGenesis-The Rockies 38.2m Terrain Mesh-Colorado" available as "fsg_dem38m_usrk_co.zip" at avsim.com, or comparable mesh. The free FSGenesis US National Landclass Project Beta 6 also adds beautifully to the landscape. These lakes work equally as well with the default mesh. All lake information was projected from satellite imagery and compiled with a beta version of Jim Keir's "Slartibartfast" utility. Much thanks to Holger Sandmann and Jim Keir for their help and advice on interpreting the satellite data properly.
