Brevoort CWOB and BAF-3 radar plus Cartwright LAB-6 radar Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Brevoort airstrip and the BAF-3 radar it serves is on Brevoort Island, off one of the southeastern tips of Baffin Island and 140 miles east of Iqaluit. This scenery includes the BAF-3 buildings on the hilltop and those on the airstrip below, plus the roads connecting them and down to the beach landing area on the rocky coast. This scenery is made for the FSGenesis 76m terrain mesh for northern Canada, and there will be a repost of all my northern Canada airfields to suit this; I cannot think now why I never installed this mesh before. The AI reflects the use of civil airlines for resupply and transportation of personnel. Given the terrain the wind should be from the north so that ai lands using the 02 runway. Landing from the north will involve a terrain clash while take off towards the north will not as the climb out clears the hilltop. The video shows the 600 foot cliff at the runway threshold and an Air Tindi plane on the apron. Cartwright CYCA is on the Labrador coast and has been posted by Flight Ontario as part of their Goose Bay and Labrador Regional Airports sceneries. The nearby LAB-6 radar site is included here, connected to CYCA by an extended road. The site uses the same buildings as Brevoort and Saglek (posted recently) and although I have included them here as separate sceneries the contents can be placed in the same folders as Saglek with a saving in duplicated textures. The textures here are more accurate than Saglek so say yes to over-write; a downloader with personal experience of Brevoort noted that in reality they are lighter.

Dutch Harbour PADU in Alaska PLUS AI Air & Sea Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a revised and much-added-to update of my earlier Dutch Harbor post, adding more Air & Sea AI. It is complete in itself and does not require you to have previously installed the original. New parking is for a civilian freighter, a Coast Guard C-130, and Coast Guard helicopters that fly from St Paul Island. There is also a daily flight from Dutch Harbor to Akutan that will be by the amphibious Goose as there is no land runway at Akutan [more posts follow].

The official airport name is Unalaska, but a seat booked with airlines will be to Dutch Harbor, known from the tv series as a fishing centre with major fish and crab processing plants. In town the largest company is Unisea, taking up all of what was once Expedition Island and the adjacent shoreline. The out-of-town expansion is taking place along the shore of Captains Bay to the southwest, and here the largest is Westward with the uniform green roof for the plant and the residential buildings for seasonal workers.

The airport has just over 3,900 feet of 100 feet wide asphalt, aligned 30/12, lit, and between sea and hill with two aprons at the southeast end. There is no control tower at the airport, so don't be surprised when you are required to contact Cold Bay USAF for landing permission. Runway 30 has at its threshold a road; when a plane is landing or taking off traffic is stopped by barriers and lights. To encourage full use of the runway the fence is made up of plastic rods that bend on impact instead of chainlink topped with barbed wire that will turn a light plane upside down.

Ajira Airlines Boeing 737-700W * Fictional * Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Fictional repaint of the PMDG 737-700NGX WL in Ajira Airways livery from the TV show "Lost."----"Ajira Airways Flight 316 was a scheduled passenger flight from Los Angeles, California, United States to Guam, a U.S. territory in the western Pacific. It was due to reach Guam via a stop in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, on a Boeing 737 owned and operated by Ajira Airways and piloted by Frank Lapidus. It was chosen by Eloise Hawking as a flight for the Oceanic Six to use to return to the Island. The plane crash-landed on Hydra Island in 2007. While some members of the Oceanic Six were teleported onto the Island in 1977 (Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid), most of the passengers survived the crash, though some with minor or severe injuries. 14 days later, Frank flew the plane off Hydra Island with Kate, Claire, Richard, Sawyer, and Miles on board." - Lostpedia

Boeing 377 Wide-Screen Panel - complete package Download

File Description:
Hi, this is a widescreen panel for the California Classics Stratocruiser from Tom Gibson, also includes reworked VC-textures.

I tried to use a more real gauge layout. Full gauge backlight in 2D panel, switchable cabin light in VC and new night light textures. VC-textures in 4 different looks. Switch and Brake sounds. Shockwave lights and real engine start activated by default (could be changed). I decided to make this package because of the many different files that are available. You only have to extract one file and all should be working, I hope :)

Latest updates and 7 repaints included. One reworked TWA dirty bare metal repaint. Also the best prop sound I know (subjective) by Des Braban and Friedrich Trachsel is in. Please read the Readme for instructions. Screenshots inside!
All Credits to Tom Gibson, Bruce Smythe, Des Braban, Friedrich Trachsel and repaint authors. Thanks to all gauge authors! Most gauges from Ken Mitchell, special thanks to him! Enjoy!

Just For Fun 1 Download

File Description:
Here's a little "just for fun" addition to make your GA flying in California a bit more interesting. Moffett Field, Mountain View, CA is a major landmark in the San Francisco Bay area. It is my understanding that NASA now controls this property and may convert all or a part of it to an Aviation Musuem. Microsoft elected to include the two ENORMOUS hangers that apparently were once used by the Navy to store Blimps and train crews. This scenery has the Goodyear Blimp (by Bill Lyons) doing touch and goes - taking off from inside of and landing in one of the immense hangers! Perhaps not very realistic but great fun to watch! Everything is included plus a recommendation to add John Townsend's great Hangar One scenery to the same airport. Works in FS2004 only. Just unzip to a Temp folder and read the simple installation instructions. Created by David "Opa" Marshall - Plano, Texas

KCJR - Culpeper Regional Airport - Virginia, USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Culpeper Regional Airport (ICAO: KCJR, FAA LID: CJR) is a county-owned public-use airport located seven nautical miles (13 km) northeast of the central business district of Culpeper, a city in Culpeper County, Virginia, United States.Located in Brandy Station, Virginia, the airport opened in 1968. The runway originally measured 3200 ft. by 75 ft. In 1983, the runway was lengthened to 4000 ft. In 2004, the runway was expanded to 5000 ft. by 100 ft. It can handle corporate size jets and large twin engine aircraft. The airport has an airfest every October since 1998, with performances such as aerobatics.

Created with Airport Design Editor by ScruffyDuck Software using current FAA documentation and Google Earth measurements, this package offers a replacement for FSX's stock airport. All these enhancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects.

Douglas C-47 (VH-EAL) Qantas Empire Airways Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for P3Dv4.5 PBR version of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of VH-EAL of Qantas Empire Airways. Originally C-47A-20-DK c/n 13084 42-93199, it flew with the RAAF as A65-49 VH-CIE before joining Qantas in 1946 as VH-EAL (this paint), and later VH-EBH and VH-EBW. It went to Brain & Brown as VH-BAA (an earlier paint) in 1960 and flew with them until 1979. It was then taken to the Warbirds Aviation Museum in Mildura, but was moved to Alice Springs in 1995 to join the Central Australian Aviation Museum, where it is now painted in the colors of VH-EWE of Connair. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 for P3Dv4.5, with PBR, Rivet and bump detail by Ted (Tufun) Wolfgang."

Lady Franklin Point CWLF in Nunavut, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Lady Franklin Point was a DEW line station on the southwest corner of Victoria Island, and then a North Warning System station until January 2000 when there was a fire. As a result there are now no NWS buildings, and no central long DEW line station building, only the outlying and already unused buildings from the DEW line site. However, the runway is still there and over 5,000 feet of gravel in length, aligned and signed 90T/270T, though on the atc it will be called 55/235 as FS9 knows nothing about the Canadian Northern Domestic Airspace. There is no runway lighting. Kugluktuk is around 80 miles to the southwest, on the mainland. I should have mentioned a long time ago that to see the apron lights working (on my fields that HAVE apron lights) requires you to have the "lights_ss_v2" by Sidney Schwartz installed.
