FSX/FS2004 USAF C-133B Cargomaster 590524 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the Douglas C-133B Cargomaster in the USAF scheme. The freeware Douglas C-133 Cargomaster by Tim Conrad is needed for this repaint - link provided. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & FS2004. Textures for FS2004 users are included. Textures are 32bit DDS & DXT3 BMP. The C-133 was conceived as an air transport for the USA's large missiles, and was designed to meet the requirements for the USAF’s Logistic Carrier Support System. The Douglas designed C-133 Cargomaster first flew on 23 April 1956. In fact, Douglas built 50 of the turboprop powered C-133 Cargomasters from 1956 to 1961. It was the largest turboprop transport ever to be accepted by the U.S. Air Force. In 1958 the C-133s began flying MATS air routes throughout the world, and two Dover based C-133s established transatlantic speed records for transport aircraft on their first flights to Europe. The fleet of 50 aircraft proved itself invaluable during the Vietnam War, but fatigue problems led to their withdrawal from service in 1971. The aircraft was a marvel in its era, but it was soon under the microscope as the accidents started accunmulating. Throughout the 15 year service of the C-133 9 were destroyed in accidents and one was written off. Having said that, the C-133 was the first wave of turboprop and jet powered giants to come onto the scene in the post piston engine era, and was followed by the C-141, and the giant of them all the C-5 Galaxy. This aircraft, 590524, was with the 60th Military Airlift Wing MAC. It was retired on Jun 16, 1971, and scrapped by end of 1974.

Iris F-16D Viper Aerodynamic Performance Modification and Repaint Texture Package Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This performance modification and repaint texture package is for the IRIS "Pro Series" F-16D Viper. The performance modifications will upgrade ALL FOURTEEN (14) of your Iris F-16D/CFT models and make them fly like real F-16's! Think of this as an AWESOME tune-up job for your IRIS F-16D's...you'll be amazed at how GREAT your jets fly after this! Go from the runway to 40,000 feet in 90 seconds at Mach 1+, then reach a max Mach of 2.05. Go from 200-600 kts in under 30 sec. Pull 9g (sustained) turns in the CAT-1 jets and 7g turns in the CAT-3 jets. Perform precise aerobatic maneuvers and enjoy smooth "fly by wire"-like control! I also increased the internal fuel capacity to now hold 1,044 gallons (7,000lbs) like the real jet, and adjusted the weight and balance figures for the fuel and weapon loads. But I didn't stop there...I ALSO made a bunch of "visual" upgrades for the Iris F-16D/CFT jets as well! I repainted some of the "COMMON" texture files so now the buttons on the ICP pad look more used/worn, the Annunciator/Warning lights are now easier to read (ie, "MASTER CAUTION"), upgraded the ACESII ejection seat, reduced the amount of "pilot reflection" on the interior canopy glass in the "Virtual Cockpit" for a MUCH clearer view, painted pilot textures for either Desert Tan or OD Green flight suits (you choose!), PLUS repainted/upgraded the "LIVE" weapon textures and ALSO painted textures for "INERT" blue weapons (you choose!). The installation for both the "Aerodynamic Performance Modification" and the cockpit, pilot & weapon texture upgrades are quick and easy, and you'll find the installation instructions in those folders.

Global 7000 for "iris_easter_eggs_2013_fsx" Download

File Description:
Repaint for "iris_easter_eggs_2013_fsx" by "IRIS Flight Simulation Software" "Bombardier's Global 7000 and the Global 8000 were launched together at NBAA in October 2010 as derivatives of the Global 6000 program. The aircraft completed its first flight Nov. 4, 2016, marking the start of a rigorous flight-testing program. Entry-into-service of the large jet was scheduled in the second half of 2018. The Global 7000 has a four-zone cabin and will carry up to 12 passengers. It features 14 windows on each side of the fuselage - One more than the legacy Global Express and one less than the 6000. The Global 7000 also features the high swept supercritical wing with winglets and a high swept T-tail. As far as performance, the Global 7000 is powered by GE Aviation Passport engines and has a range of 7,400 nm and a top speed of 530 knots. The two GE Passport engines are side mounted at the rear of the aircraft. The Global 7000, which was priced at about $73 million is indeed large. The cabin (not including the baggage compartment) is 54 feet, seven inches long; six feet, three inches tall; and eight feet, two inches wide. Aft of the galley, the passenger area is divided into four distinct living areas. Depending on the layout, they can include a seating area, a dining or meeting area, a cinema room, and a bedroom. In April 2018, the Global 7000 and its cabin won a Red Dot in the Ships, Trains and Planes category of this year’s Red Dot Design Award, ainternational competition conducted annually since 1955 by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany. As judging criteria, the 39-member jury looked at each product’s levels of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics, and durability."

German fighter wing Neuburg F-4F Phantom Download

File Description:
Demoversion with banners. The McDonnell Douglas F-4 E/F Phantom 2 is a two-seat, twin-engined, all-weather, long-range supersonic fighter-bomber originally developed for the U.S. Navy by McDonnell Aircraft. Proving highly adaptable, it became a major part of the air wings of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force. It was used extensively by all three of these services during the Vietnam War, serving as the principal air superiority fighter for both the Navy and Air Force, as well as being important in the ground-attack and reconnaissance roles by the close of U.S. involvement in the war. First entering service in 1960, the Phantom continued to form a major part of U.S. military air power throughout the 1970s and 1980s, being gradually replaced by more modern aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon in the U.S. Air Force and the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet in the U.S. Navy. It remained in service in the reconnaissance and Wild Weasel roles in the 1991 Gulf War, finally leaving service in 1996. The Phantom was also operated by the armed forces of 11 other nations. Israeli Phantoms saw extensive combat in several Arab–Israeli conflicts, while Iran used its large fleet of Phantoms in the Iran–Iraq War. Phantoms remain in front line service with seven countries, and in use as an unmanned target in the U.S. Air Force. Phantom production ran from 1958 to 1981, with a total of 5195 built. This extensive run makes it the second most-produced Western jet fighter, behind the famous F-86 Sabre at just under 10,000 examples. China Airlines 1998 AI Package Download

File Description:
China Airlines had almost completely repainted the fleet by 1998, in these flightplans there is only 1 A300s left in the old livery. China Airlines rushed the repaint of their fleet as the Taiwanese flag on the old colors was not allowed in HKG after the 1997 hand over from England making Hong Kong a Chinese Territory. As such, the old colors were gone by 1998. The 737-400s were still very much active, but were very near the end of their lives with China Airlines retired by 1999 or so. The 737-400s do some regional international routes, and also high frequency KHH-TSA flights and a few TPE-KHH flights. Only 2 747-200s left, mostly flying to HND, and the A300-600R is the backbone of the fleet with a handful of A300B4s still flying. The 747SPs all were at Mandarin by 1998. At this time, and Mandarin aircraft often subbed for China Airlines 747-400s and MD-11s using the "DYNASTY" callsign. I have included an MD-11 in Mandarin colors operating China Airlines flights, I recommend you make a separate aircraft.cfg entry for the Mandarin MD-11 aircraft with the "DYNASTY" callsign and "CAL" parking code for realism. Repaints by Ranmori Scythe for the FAIB 737-400, 747-200, 747-400, FSPX MD-11, and TFS A300B4 and A300-600R are included. As a bonus, textures are also included for the FAIB 737-800(which entered the fleet in 1999) and the old colors on the FAIB 747-400(discontinued by 1997). Feel free to use the 737-400 instead of the 737-800 if you wish. All repaints were done by the very talented Ranmori Scythe and flightplans were done by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. Requires mandarin_airlines_1998.zip for the Mandarin textures. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. Follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/flightsim98 and on instagram as @bayviationsim. Sorted POI global cities and airports pack for FSDiscover! Download

File Description:
README: FSDiscover! Global Point of Interest pack. Here is a poi pack of roughly 147 000 cities, 40 000 small airports, 1 177 seaplane bases, 4695 medium airports and 475 of the largest airports. Airports are split up in categories, small, medium, big, seaplane base. Cities are split up into files of 10 000 cities each by size. There are 15 files for cities. The smallest cities are in xaa, xab, xac, xad, and so on. The biggest cities are in xam, xan, until xao. You should open the files in notepad to see for yourself which city files to activate in FSDiscover! to balance clutter and detail. This has been my main problem with the default populated places list; there is no way to sort by population size Compared to the default FSDiscover! populated places here are some notes: I have noticed that in the default FSDiscover! set for europe and many other places, the coordinates are placed like on a "honeycomb" grid which obviously is not very precise. In general, in terms of city map precision, this pack should be better. In the default pack, in an area I am familiar with, a city was placed on the other side of a river compared to reality. In many other areas, you can clearly see that the cities are not well-aligned with Ultimate Terrain europe or even some places in UT USA. My theory is that either data was not super precise for europe to begin with or that the dataset has been arranged in the honeycomb grid fashion perhaps to reduce clutter or something. Mostly though, the default populated places FSDiscover! file is very useful for really small villages since these tend to be forgotten in other datasets. The problems come when you want to filter out smaller villages or airports. This is where this pack comes in handy. Since no data is perfect, you can use this pack alone or in combination with the FSDiscover! defaults. Personally, I put the same files in both "Documents/FSDiscover Files" and "Program Files/FSDiscover" so I can pick and choose a useful combo from relevant sets inside the options. Personally, I prefer the cities from this pack and the rest (mountains, rivers etc.) from the default FSDiscover! pack. INSTALLATION: Just unzip the archived files into "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\FSDiscover Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\FSDiscover!\geodata" or both! I do not know if the geodata folder is completely overwritten some times or not so keep that in mind. (probably safe, though) AUTHOR: fs9_2003 thanks to data made available by opendatasoft.com and ourairports.com The source for cities: https://public.opendatasoft.com/explore/dataset/geonames-all-cities-with-a-population-1000 The source for airports: https://ourairports.com/data

Tradewinds Airways Canadair CL-44 1977 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the Canadair CL-44 in Tradewinds Airways colors. You need the freeware Canadair CL-44 by Mike Stone. Tradewinds was a British air cargo company. In November 1968, Transglobe Airways ceased operations, leaving a fleet of Canadair CL-44s lease-purchased from Seaboard World Airlines in limbo. Later in the month, Bobwood was formed to takeover the aircraft lease. Bobwood's name was changed to Tradewind Airways in January 1969 and all three ex-Transglobe Airways CL-44s were transferred over to the new company. Due to Seaboard World Airlines (a U.S. Cargo airline) having a large interest in Tradewinds, the British Government would not issue a license. Thus, in April, a British group was put together to take over the company. Consequently, a route network was developed primarily to Africa and North America in 1971–1976. Also in 1972, the carrier began flying from London Heathrow, often on all-cargo subcontracts for foreign airlines. In January 1977, Tradewinds became a wholly owned subsidiary of the multinational Lonrho Group. They received the 707-320Cs soon after. In 1978–1979, Tradewinds offered scheduled jet freight services from London to points in Africa, USA, and Canada. Unfortunately, in January 1986, Tradewinds ceased operations, citing overcapacity, undercutting by competing charter services, and stringent new noise abatement rules as cause of the demise. Its assetts were purchased by Tal Air, a British business travel airline, and tried to revive Tradewinds with freight services to Africa and the Middle East, however it was not to be, and they finally shut down for good in 1990. Textures are 32bit bmp. This aircraft was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX and FS2004. *This is strictly an FS2004 model. However, I used it on FSX-SE by replacing the FS2004 panel and gauges with an FSX 2D panel, and it worked well. I have included two internet links for users of FSX, who wish to fly the aircraft, with easy instructions on how to go about replacing the FS2004 panels with FSX ones.
