(PAFA - PABR) (486 NM) (Heavy Cargo Run)____Situation Orientation (Fictional) : Twice a year, (GREEN SOLUTIONS) a joint US-UN funded scientific research firm, based in Anchorage Alaska, charters a freighter jet to make a cargo run to (Barrow/Alaska (PABR)) located near the beaufort sea / Arctic ocean, where one of the firm's major research facilities is located. For the September run, it has been arranged that the flight will make a stop over at Fairbanks International Airport- Alaska (PAFA) to pick up additional cargo that a supplier working with the firm shipped to Fairbanks by train. As this run is a pre-winter run, the cargo is heavy and the cargo company have allocated a large freighter ship to handle the heavy cargo load. The aircraft arrived into Anchorage inbound from South America early this morning and departed Anchorage at 11:00 am. It arrived PAFA on time and is loading the additional cargo at a designated hanger. The flight was shedualedto depart to Barrow at 2:30 pm butfreighter paperwork and administrative complexities have caused a two and a half hour delay. Everyone, including you,is frustrated and anxious to get moving. Finaly, ground crews inform you that you will be ready to go in 10 ____Note : Although no significant malfunctions where logged during the first leg of the flight, the aircraft's maintenence logs indicate that during its Panama City departure,the crew logged an abnormalylow climb attitude after take off. However, due to compressed schedual timetables, maintenance operations in Anchorage decided that maintenance would be done after it returned from its charter flight and have given it a green light. As first officer, the captain has instructed you to watch that closley as he has given you control of this leg.

This is my new serie of TAROM for the Just Flight Traffic 2004.
YR-BGC"Constanta" is one of the four type B.737-38J operated by TAROM, the Fifth plane
(YR-BGD) is operated as Presidential plane and the Government of Romania.
TAROM((Transporturile Aeriene Romane) is the official airline of Romania and was
founded after the war in 1946 as Transporturi Aeriene Romana Sovietica (TARS)
with a fleet of Lisunov Li-2.The airline had operated soviet jet types longtime
(Ilyushin IL-62, IL-18, Tu-154´s)but after the restructuration in the early 90´s
is today composed with 6 ATR-42-300 and 9 B.737-300 and 700 series(models B.737-38J,B.737-78J and one B.737-36Q).
All 707´s and soviet types are now stored and out of service.The two A310(introduced in 1992)and tasked
to flight the New York services or Charter flights in the summer time are now in reserve and also out of service
or saled the fleet of ROMBAC 1-11(BAC 1-11 build under licence by Romaero.The main hub of TAROM is located at Otopeni Intl.airport(Bucarest).
TAROM served national destinations(Cluj,Constanta,Tirgu Mures,Timisoara,Satu Mare,Oradea,Iasi,etc)and International destinations(Wien,Frankfurt,Munchen,Brussels,Paris CDG,London HTR,Rome FCO,
Budapest,Athens,Thesaloniki,Sofia,Chisinau,Madrid,Larnaca,Tel Aviv,Amman,Beirut,Cairo,Istanbul,Amman)
I have included a serie of 64 TAROM flights, all served with the B.737-300´s and ATR42-500's.
Also included a new complete revised AirFile for the 737-300 type(23-04-04).

File Description:
Explorer 1 was the first satellite launched by the United States when it was sent into space on January 31, 1958. Following the launch of the Soviet Union's Sputnik 1 on October 4, 1957, the U.S. Army Ballistic Missile Agency was directed to launch a satellite using its Jupiter C rocket developed under the direction of Dr. Wernher von Braun. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory received the assignment to design, build and operate the artificial satellite that would serve as the rocket's payload. JPL completed this job in less than three months.
The primary science instrument on Explorer 1 was a cosmic ray detector designed to measure the radiation environment in Earth orbit. Once in space this experiment, provided by Dr. James Van Allen of the State University of Iowa, revealed a much lower cosmic ray count than expected. Van Allen theorized that the instrument may have been saturated by very strong radiation from a belt of charged particles trapped in space by Earth's magnetic field. The existence of these radiation belts was confirmed by another U.S. satellite launched two months later, and they became known as the Van Allen Belts in honor of their discoverer.
Explorer 1 revolved around Earth in a looping orbit that took it as close as 354 kilometers (220 miles) to Earth and as far as 2,515 kilometers (1,563 miles). It made one orbit every 114.8 minutes, or a total of 12.54 orbits per day. The satellite itself was 203 centimeters (80 inches) long and 15.9 centimeters (6.25 inches) in diameter. Explorer 1 made its final transmission on May 23, 1958. It entered Earth's atmosphere and burned up on March 31, 1970, after more than 58,000 orbits. The satellite weighed 14 kilograms (30.8 pounds).

The McDonnell Douglas F-4 E/F Phantom 2 is a two-seat, twin-engined, all-weather, long-range supersonic fighter-bomber originally developed for the U.S. Navy by McDonnell Aircraft. Proving highly adaptable, it became a major part of the air wings of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force. It was used extensively by all three of these services during the Vietnam War, serving as the principal air superiority fighter for both the Navy and Air Force, as well as being important in the ground-attack and reconnaissance roles by the close of U.S. involvement in the war.
First entering service in 1960, the Phantom continued to form a major part of U.S. military air power throughout the 1970s and 1980s, being gradually replaced by more modern aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon in the U.S. Air Force and the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet in the U.S. Navy. It remained in service in the reconnaissance and Wild Weasel roles in the 1991 Gulf War, finally leaving service in 1996.
The Phantom was also operated by the armed forces of 11 other nations. Israeli Phantoms saw extensive combat in several Arab–Israeli conflicts, while Iran used its large fleet of Phantoms in the Iran–Iraq War. Phantoms remain in front line service with seven countries, and in use as an unmanned target in the U.S. Air Force. Phantom production ran from 1958 to 1981, with a total of 5195 built. This is a repaint of the C-46 in Aerolineas Peruanas - APSA, 1966 colors. The freeware C-46 by Libardo Guzman and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. American C.W. Shelton, the owner of the Honduran carrier TAN (Transportes Aereas Nacionales), in association with two Peruvian nationals, founded Aerolineas Peruanas SA (APSA) in September 1956. Consequently, APSA began a C-46 international service from Lima (Peru) to Santiago de Chile via Autofagasta on June 17, 1957. By 1960, the company expanded its operations to Mexico City, and Panama City. Also in 1960 the CAB of the USA granted the rights to APSA to fly to Miami. However, before the rights were granted, the CAB forced C.W. Shelton to transfers his interest in APSA to Peruvian owners, as APSA was under "foreign interests" (ie. Shelton). Thus after this ruling, Shelton's airline changed hands and became a 77% owned Peruvian airline. The company entered the jet age with the delivery of its first convair 990 Coronado, which was leased, on 23 December 1963. South American expansion was undertaken in 1964 as services were launched to La Paz, Montevideo, and Asuncion. Eventually, Lima to London via Madrid and Paris flights were inaugurated during the spring of 1969 with a DC-8-52 leased from Iberia. Tragically, due to the high costs of its aircraft leases, the carrier encountered severe financial difficulties in 1970. Aditionally, the government, led by Juan Velasco Alvarado, refused to bail out APSA. Alvarado had plans to establish a state owned airline - AEROPERU, and APSA was standing in his way. Unable to overcome its massive $22-million debt, APSA ceased operations on May 3, 1971. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. Textures are 32bit bmp. It should work on FSX, P3D v1-3, & FS2004.
