UK Hawks Part3: Battle of Britiain Tribute Complete AI Package

File Description:
Military AI Works is proud to present the UK Hawks Part 3: Battle of Britain Tribute Package for FS2004. MAIW pays tribute to "The Few" who fought during one of the most decisive aerial campaigns of World War II, the Battle of Britain. This package adds a specially marked green and brown Hawk aircraft to 19(R) Squadron of the RAF paying tribute to the Supermarine Spitfire aircraft flown by various RAF fighter squadrons during the battle. Also included are flightplans that will depict the historic September 15th flypast of former Battle of Britain fighter stations. NOTE: This package requires both UK Hawks part 1 and 2 to function properly. What does this update do? - New aircraft.cfg and L1649A.air for improved flight dynamics, especially takeoff and landing. - New panel files for modified gauges and basic VC layout. - Three VC texture files - New model file Installation (1) Make a backup copy of your existing "Flight Simulator 9\Lockheed_1649A" folder. (2) Extract the version 1.1a Update files to a separate temporary folder. (3) Copy the files to the required locations, overwriting or adding to the originals. T-33A Royal Dutch Air Force

File Description:
The T-33A "T-Bird" joined the Dutch Air Force in the beginning of the fifties and they were operational up until 1972. 63 planes in total, 3 of them being reconnaissance aircraft (RT-33A). The first planes received the exterior decoration for "non combatant aircraft" as it was called then. A yellow band around both wings and a broad yellow band around the rear end of the aircraft. The Dutch Air Force code on the nose was applied in a similar way to that of the USAF and started with TR-1. This was later changed into an "M-" indication and the yellow striping was replaced by the now more familiar "day glow red" markings. This repaint depicts the early decoration of TR-15, a jet trainer of 313 Squadron, Volkel Air Base.

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport

File Description:
Detroit Metropolitan Wayne Count Metro Airport for FSX. The following improvements have been made: 1.) Airlines accurately park at their assigned terminals. All Northwest Airlines and Northwest Airlink aircraft will park at the two Mcnamara terminals. 2.) Three jetways have been added to the smaller McNamara terminal. 3.) Overflow parking has been added for Northwest Airlink next to the smaller McNamara Terminal. 4.) Vehicle paths have been rerouted. This essentially eliminates the problem of airport vehicles using the taxiways, which cause traffic delays. A big thanks to RaySmith for his help with this. 5.) An assigned cargo area has been created for FedEx and UPS aircraft. 6.) Some ramp areas have been resized. Note that this file will only work in FSX. It will not work in FS9.

United Airlines Boeing 767-322/ER (Star Alliance)

File Description:
N653UA (cn 460), version 1.United Airlines 'Star Alliance' colour scheme. Since it's a simple 'Eurowhite' livery, I spend most of the time customizing the kit, adding rivets and depressurization panels along the fuselage and tail section. I also threw out the low res photoreal engine textures and handpainted them all over again. I even added the in an arch shaped rivets and panels around the windows in such a way it looks like some of them are 'punching' thru some parts of the paintjob. As always, the paintjob is weathered, but less dirty, since the emphasis is more on the added detail, than on weither or not the plane is clean or dirty. Installation is easy ; just use the repaintmanager. Level-D (LDS) 767-300 package required. Happy landings, enjoy the paint.

Lufthansa Boeing 767-3Z9/ER (Star Alliance)

File Description:
D-ABUV (cn 731), version 1. After the United Airlines 'Star Alliance' scheme, I figured I'd might as well tackle all of the Star Alliance Boeing 767 's, starting with this Lufthansa bird. This particular plane was delivered to Lauda Air in 98' and was leased by Lufthansa for a short period of time (only one year). It went back to Lauda after the lease expired and can now be seen in Austrian's Star Alliance scheme. I customized the stock kit, adding depress. panels, rivets, and as always, the paint job is weathered and worn. See the first screenshot for reference. USAAF B-24D "Kate Smith" 98th Bomb Group, 9th AAF

File Description:
"Kate Smith" 42-40991 was a B-24D-120-CO which came off the production lines of Consolidated, San Diego. The art work depicts American Singer Kate Smith's theme song, "When the Moon Comes Over the Mountain". This ship was flown by the 1Lt James A Deeds to Ploesti on August 1, 1943. While taking part in the disasterous 98th BG attack on the Astra Romana-Phoenix Orion refinery complex, it took a direct hit in the cockpit area over the target at an estimated 250 ft of altitude. The aircraft caught fire in the bomb bay area and exploded mid-air. Miraculously, the copilot, 2Lt Clifton Foster was blown clear of the disintergrating aircraft and was able to open his parachute. Taken prisoner, he was the only survivor of the ten man crew.
