Sky Pirates Medium Vanship by Mellin - Version 1.0.0

If you are interested with updates check: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=D237841111C490A2!2055&authkey=!ALJGm8kyIEpPWOc&ithint=folder%2ctxt

Vanships come from "Last Exile" and "Last Exile: Silver Wing Fam" animes. Sky Pirate Medium Vanships are a type of vanship which appear in Last Exile - Fam, The Silver Wing. In addition to Vespas, the Sky Pirates use a special type of vanship with an unusually broad and flat body. They resemble a rectangular wing with the cockpit in the center and two engines, one on each side. These ships are sometimes armed with harpoons to be used in capturing larger vessels. Because of their broad wings, they are capable of carrying up to six harpoons while Vespas can carry only two. It should be noted that each of these six however are about the size of a vespa. Their true amount of payload can be seen during the attack on Boraeas fortress, where Fam and Giselle's Vespa only mounts two rockets, each of these ships is seen carrying entire racks of them, with one being seen with 12 rocket pods slung under each wing, in formation with Fam's group shortly before they come under heavy fire. Those Vanships have 2 fuel tanks inside their wings and a big cargo bay in a middle of there body. They also have a observer's spot under main body in the front. It is equipped with periscope/binoculars.

More information about Vanships can be found on Last Exile wiki: http://lastexile.wikia.com/wiki/Vanship

Lake Hood LHD and Z41 in Anchorage Alaska UPDATED Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is an updated version that is complete in itself and which greatly upgrades Lake Hood Airstrip Z41 and also makes minor modifications to LHD. Lake Hood is right next door and to the north of Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, and there is a second airfield on the north side of the lake called Lake Hood Airstrip. The airstrip is coded Z41, the International is PANC, and Lake Hood itself is LHD. You will need Ultimate Terrain Alaska Canada for this to work, and you should also download and install Anchorage International (verson 4?) by William Morgan of FRFStudio. LHD/Z41 includes a fair proportion of the 780 float planes that are based there and which make Lake Hood the largest and busiest float plane base in the world, averaging 190 flights per day during the year and a lot more than that per day during the summer months. There is fuel at two places on the lake, and a lot of maintenance help available. The documentation showing the VFR routes to Lake Hood is also included in the Lake Hood VFR procedures folder, and basically, if you listen to the ATC chatter, planes either route via the Ball Park or the Gravel Pit, which gets abbreviated to something like "You want the park or the gravel?" which wouldn't mean a whole lot to an unrehearsed stranger. Unfortunately FS doesn't reach that level of sophistication, but you can still take the right route. There is a google marked map showing the locations of the checkpoints.

QuickPlan for Windows Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
QuickPlan for Windows is a visual point and click flight planner that makes it easy to generate flight plans in native FSX, FS2004 or X-Plane formats. The entire route is generated visually, by tapping the map to add the departure airport, intermediate waypoints and arrival airport in the same order that you intend flying the plan. During plan creation and after adding the final arrival waypoint you also have the opportunity to remove any of the intermediate waypoints before saving the plan in your preferred format. QuickPlan utilises a new mapping engine and includes 12 world-wide map styles and has support for FSWidgets Cloud Based Aero Charts (free Cuba/Puerto Rico WAC Cloud Based Chart included) and FSWidgets Cloud Based World Nav Data (Free KSFO - San Francisco Bay area Nav Data included). QuickPlan can be used in Freeform Mode, Advanced Mode, or a combination of both. FREEFORM MODE: Simply click anywhere on the map and QuickPlan will allow you to add it as a generic waypoint. VFR pilots often use towns, lakes and other unique geographic features and with QuickPlan you can add any geographical location shown on the base map. Plans created this way label the waypoints automatically with generic names (e.g. DEP, WP1, WP2, ARR). If desired, the entire route from departure to arrival can be created without reference to any navigational aids or official airports. This is handy for bush pilots who often use unlicensed airfields and small landing strips (or seaplane landing areas). Helicopter pilots can also quickly create plans that depart from off-airport locations like building rooftops or land on a road. ADVANCED MODE: If you own the FSWidgets Cloud Based World Nav Data product you can create more advanced flight plans by clicking on any of the icons displayed on the map to add them as waypoints - airports, VOR's, NDB's and intersections (data for the KSFO area is included free). Plans created this way label the waypoints automatically with airport and navigational aid identifiers taken from the Nav Data (e.g. KSFO, OSI, LV, FABLA). FEATURE LIST: - Generates native FSX (.pln), FS2004 (.pln) and X-Plane (.fms) format flight plans - Saves flight plans to any folder (preferred folder set in Preferences) - Search for airport by ICAO identifier - Map powered by CloudMade Leaflet API (using OpenStreetMap data) - Includes 12 world-wide maps styles - Supports FSWidgets Cloud Based AERO CHARTS - Free Cuba/Puerto Rico WAC Cloud Based Chart included - Supports FSWidgets Cloud Based WORLD NAV DATA - Free KSFO (San Francisco Bay) area Nav Data included - World-wide Metar and TAF Data icons - US Nexrad (Next-Gen Radar) Data

Aviogenex Boeing 737-2K3 Advanced (YU-ANP) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Accurate rendition of sole Aviogenex Boeing 737-2K3 Advanced, registered YU-ANP. Being the only remnant in the fleet of the once largest Yugoslavian charter carrier, this 22 year old 737 still flies to a number of destinations in Turkey, Egypt, Spain, Greece and Italy, among many ad hoc flights for the Serbian national carrier Jat Airways.

Aviogenex (Авиогенекс) is a Serbian charter airline. It operates regular and ad hoc charter flights as well as wet-lease services, worldwide. Its main base is Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. Founded in April 1968 the airline has more than 40 years of experience. During 1969 Aviogenex operated its first flight from Belgrade to Düsseldorf on a Tu-134 aircraft.
Through 1990, the airline flew 633,932 passengers, with 5 Boeing 727 and 5 Boeing 737 aircraft, reaching roughly 17000 flight hours per year. Since 1991 Aviogenex has oriented towards leasing of aircraft and crews, and achieved more than 40000 flight hours. Throughout this period Aviogenex operated in Europe, Africa, the Middle and Far East, and South America. In 2010 they restarted flights under their own name using a Boeing 737-200 Advanced (the one represented in this re-paint).

I've paid a lot of attention to detail, so the aircraft is as it looks like in July 2010. Hope you will enjoy flying this lovely bird. Textures only - needs the TinMouse B737-200 aircraft available at AVSIM (tinmouse_ii_v1_25.zip)

Fort Smith CYSM in Northwest Territories, Canada Revised Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is an updated version to remove an incomplete static Beaver reported by Graeme (thanks Cobber) and to include other modifications that I made for my own version since posting the original; different taxiway lights, revised aprons, and in particular the revised AI that I mentioned in the original 2011 post. This is complete and can be installed as-is, or used to modify an existing post by changing the original folder contents. Fort Smith is just north of the border between Alberta and Northwestern Territories, midway between Lake Athabasca to the southeast and Great Slave Lake to the north west. You might stop there when flying between Yellowknife or Hay River to La Ronge or Saskatoon. It looks as if it is ex-military and these are the remains of what were once 10,000 feet of asphalt runways. The main runway is now 11/29 and 6,000 feet long, and the secondary one is 1,800 feet of mostly gravel. There is an airline based at the field, Northwestern Air, and fuel is available at a self service point. The town of Fort Smith is two miles east of the airfield, on the bank of the Slave River and where there are some rapids that require a portage to get around them. Before aviation came along the river was a major route to the north and all those furry animals, which was why the Hudson's Bay Company established an outpost there in 1872. Today it has a population of 2,400 and the main activities are government administration of much of the Northwest Territories, education, and tourism.

Doolittle's Raiders North American B-25 Mitchell A/C No. 40-2267 Download

File Description:
B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2267, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane #15. Pilot: Lt. Donald G. Smith, Co-Pilot: Lt. Griffith P. Williams, Navigator/ Bombardier: Lt. Howard A. Sessler, Flight Engineer: Sgt. Edward J. Saylor, Gunner: Lt. Thomas R. White. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Although little physical damage was inflicted on Japan, that day, the Japanese populace was demoralized, as suddenly, the war was brought to their homeland. Texture, and Damage Files included. Note the three windows in both port and starboard bulkheads. By revev. Enjoy!
