c/n 10144. Ordered new by Ansett-ANA for Airlines of N.S.W. and delivered 20 February 1960. Sold to Comair in November 1976. Leased to Royal Swazi Air and Air Lesotho between November 1981 and October 1985. Withdrawn from service on 30 June 1993 and broken up in 1998 after being used as a cabin crew trainer. c/n 10264. Ordered new by Ansett-ANA and delivered 9 December 1964. Sold to Comair 26 November 1980 and registered as ZS-KVJ. Withdrawn from service 30 October 1997 and used by Johannesburg Airport fire services. Broken up in December 2001. c/n 10227.Delivered new to All Nipon Airways on 31 May 1963. Also used by Air Polynesie, Touraine Air Transport and British Midland December 1983. Purchased by Comair and registered as ZS-LMZ. Sold to Amazone Linhas Aereas 21 May 1999. File Description:
c/n 1947/7049. Bought new and registered ZS-BFW on 16 February 1948. Used to inaugurate Comair's scheduled services on 1 July 1948. Used in both scheduled and non-scheduled services until September 1950. Sold to Commercial Air Services (Rhodesia) and registered as VP-YIP in January 1951. Suffered an accident on 8 November 1955 following a ground-loop caused by a tyre burst while landing at Maun, Bechuanaland (Botswana). Fuselage, starboard wing and tailplane damaged beyond economic repair. c/n 1948/7114. Bought new and registered ZS-BGA on 16 June 1948. Used in both scheduled and non-scheduled services until December 1954. Sold to Aero Club of Madagascar and registered as F-OARZ. These are texture files only for the Cessna 195 (SHAKEY-JAKE) by Joe Binka. Repaint by Andre Reimers.

File Description:
c/n 9214. Delivered in 1947 to Comair Natal, registered as ZS-BFC and used mainly for flight training. In October 1948 it was returned to the parent company to be used in the Israel Air Force Training School. It crashed on a training flight at Rand Airport on 5 November 1948. c/n 12504. Operated by Commercial Air Services (Natal). Delivered in 1946, registered as ZS-BFO and used mainly for flight training. Between October 1948 and August 1950 it was used for the Israel Air Force Training School. Transferred to Comair Natal in early 1951 and used on the Durban - Margate route carrying passengers and newspapers. Sold in February 1954.

File Description:
c/n 04023. Built as series 1 and registered as G-AIWF to British Aviation Services. Leased to Air Malta from 6 July 1947. Purchased by Commercial Air Services on 13 January 1951 and registered as ZS-DFA. Operated on scheduled services until sold in April 1953 to Cambrian Air Services and registered as G-AIWF. Sold to Dan Air Services in January 1960, then to Flugjonusta, Iceland on 19 May 1964 and registered TF-BPD. Withdrawn from use in 1970 and scrapped in 1975.

c/n 6761. Built 21 June 1944 as Dominie Mk 1 for RAF, but not used. Allocated to SAAF and shipped to South Africa. Sold to Central African Airways and Registered as VP-YFA on 26 July 1946. Sold to Commercial Air Services (Comair) on 9 July 1949 and registered ZS-BFU. Sold to Drakensberg Air Services in 1951. Overturned and destroyed 10 September 1954 while landing at Mokhotlong, Lesotho.

File Description:
SAA operated a total of seven DC-4 aircraft, the first joining the fleet in 1946. SAA Skymasters took over the Springbok Route to London in 1946 and operated extensively in Southern Africa until 1967. They were used to inaugurate the Skycoach services in 1959. ZS-AUA flew with South African Airways from 1946 till 1966 as ZS-AUA 'Tafelberg'. From 1966 till 1995 the DC-4 flew with the South African Air Force as 6901. In 1995 the Dutch Dakota Association (DDA) purchased it and was christened 'Skymaster'. In 1997 she was re-registered PH-DDS. Textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's Douglas DC-4 model, repainted by Dave McQueen (DC4_V30.ZIP). This repaint by Andre Reimers.

Includes Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Sandton Buildings. The scenery is aligned to the South African Roads and Water feature packages done by Aeroworx authors which you can find here on Avsim. Dont install the scenery without the water feature package of Aeroworx otherwise the Durban buildings will float in the sea. This is also a re-upload because of the Avsim library problems. Nothing new has been added.

File Description:
The remaining four SAA DC-3's - ZS-BXF, ZS-BXG, ZS-BXI and ZS-DJB maintained a feeder service - the "Milk Run" - for twenty five years. During their last few years they were operated along the Coastal Route between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth by aircrews of Comair and later Air Cape under a license agreement. They were all transferred back to the SAAF in 1971. This Douglas C-47A-30-DL C/N 9492 was transferred from the SAAF in 1949 and was registered as ZS-DJB and given the name 'Simonsberg'. Textures only. Prior installation of Manfred Jahn's outstanding FS2004 Douglas C-47 Base Pack is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.

This skin depicts the colors of SAA in the mid 1960's. This skin set is for the Tom Gibson/Greg Pepper DC-7B airplane available at calclassic.com and accommodates the latest in updates from Tom and team, including custom interiors, improved lighting, air stairs and opening doors. In 1956 SAA became the first non-American airline to place the type in service and had a fleet of four. ZS-DKE was delivered to SAA in March 1956.

c/n 04246. SAAF 105. 35 Squadron operated 9 De Havilland DH104 Mk.1 Doves from 1949 to 1965. Sold to Keegan Aviation as G-ASUV on 30 July 1964. Converted to Riley Dove. Withdrawn from use 10 September 1964. Exported to Nigeria as 5N-AGF on 17 March 1965 and used for mercy flights by Bristow Helicopters. Captured by Biafran Army on 18 July 1967 and subsequently used by Biafran Air Force. Ground-looped, hit a truck damaging a propeller and the right wing at Uli airstrip and declared a write-off. Sent to a school play ground at Uli Village, Nigeria.
