FMC Manual For Begginers - In Greek Language Download

File Description:
The handbook of the Flight Management System (FMS) that you hold in your hands was written taking into consideration the supply of minimal essential instructions to the Greek Flight Simmers. In this handbook are reported enough at greater length all those actions which should be known by any virtual pilot in order to begin his/her virtual flights using and operating the abilities of the FMS of his/her aircraft. This handbook is separated in three parts. The first part has to do with the familiarization of the cockpit of the aircraft, the second has to do with the Start-up procedure of the engines and finally the third part has to do with the programming and usage of the FMC during flight. For this handbook, the FMC of the payware model of PMDG B737NG was used as an example. This handbook is written in Greek Language...

ELVA / FlyUK Boeing 747 Package Update to v3 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
FS2004 ELVA B747 Pack Update to v3. This file will upgrade my ELVA Boeing 747 Pack to version 3. Version 3 includes some major and minor updates. It also adds new features: Heat Haze (shimmer) effects plus smoke effects by Martyn Becker, Reverser Spray Effects by Edward Cox and Takeoff Spray effects by Dennis Franke. Fly UK Virtual Airways livery will be added in the future. I have also created a low spec system option so that low spec users can use my boeing packages but with less features. See the readme file for more details. Patch by Peter Slater, uploaded by Gareth Abbott. Big thanks to those named here. Credited as asked. Visit his web site for his other projects at http://fsprojects.webs.com or search 'peter slater' here on AVSIM. You can watch a promo video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QlRmhjGwiE, requires psb747f.zip

Lady Franklin Point CWLF in Nunavut, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Lady Franklin Point was a DEW line station on the southwest corner of Victoria Island, and then a North Warning System station until January 2000 when there was a fire. As a result there are now no NWS buildings, and no central long DEW line station building, only the outlying and already unused buildings from the DEW line site. However, the runway is still there and over 5,000 feet of gravel in length, aligned and signed 90T/270T, though on the atc it will be called 55/235 as FS9 knows nothing about the Canadian Northern Domestic Airspace. There is no runway lighting. Kugluktuk is around 80 miles to the southwest, on the mainland. I should have mentioned a long time ago that to see the apron lights working (on my fields that HAVE apron lights) requires you to have the "lights_ss_v2" by Sidney Schwartz installed.

SATSair Complete Package Summer 2008 Download

File Description:
This package includes representative flightplans for SATSair (Smart Air Travel Systems) drawn from flightaware and a texture for Mike Cronin's AI SR22 (available on AVSIM). SATSair is an air taxi system in the southeast US using 22 Cirrus SR-22s for on demand air travel. From their website: "SATSair offers regional point-to-point air transportation that is safe, convenient and cost effective. Aircraft are pre-positioned strategically throughout the service area, allowing customers to board a SATSair aircraft and depart with little notice. SATSair eliminates the frustrations of crowded airline terminals, long security lines and lengthy connections. In addition, SATSair utilizes numerous airports that the airlines don't, making it exceptionally convenient for rural destinations and multiple-stop itineraries." These plans may be installed using MRAI setup, or manually using Lee Swordy's TTools. As part of my continuing effort to expand the AI world, here you go!

Hat Island CWHI in Nunavut, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This was a DEW line I Station on Hat Island; the island is around 4 miles square and just under 50 miles southeast of Jenny Lind Island. The station was closed in 1963 and has now been totally dismantled and removed, a fairly easy task given the size. The runway is still there and is a shade over 3,000 feet of gravel 100' wide. There are no lights, signage, or windsock. A North Warning System station was built in 1991 on the site of the I Station, just north of the runway. Most of these DEW line stations are not particularly impressive or even interesting. However, you can bet that any pilot flying regularly in the north along the coast knows where all these runways are, in case one of them suddenly becomes his favourite in the whole world just after the sudden silence.

Avro Lancaster Sound Package Download

File Description:
This is a complete sound package created specifically for the four engined Avro Lancaster with Rolls-Royce Merlin engines (but will work with any other four engined prop aircraft). This package has been designed so that each engine sounds slightly different, along with their own individual startup and shutdown sounds thus giving them their own character. The result being a loud and very rich sound as they all work together. You could say that this is four sound files in one!. Parts of this package have been taken from "free to use" FS sound files plus some from FS9 itself which have been blended together to get the best engine sound possible. If you've got a pair of headphones or big speakers on your system, then you're in for a treat. I also recommend downloading my panel (lncpnlv2.zip) from FS2004 Panels, and Dave Garwood's Avro Lancaster to complete the set.

Antonov AN225-210 "Colossus" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The AN225-210 is the result of a proposed 1 to 2-year projected modernization program which will convert the current AN225 into a much more useful and capable aircraft than the already infamous Мрія (Mriya) . The latter First flew on December 21, 1988, and is currently 33 years old. There have been a few maintenance periods and 1 major avionics modification, but otherwise is too old for reliable future use. The 2 year process involves reconstructing the landing gear system to support much more weight. The new engines are much more powerful, but lighter in weight, and much more fuel efficient. The wings are replaced with similar wings with more wing-area built of modern light-weight material which gives her higher lift capacity. The cargo hold area is reinforced for heavier weight limits. The crew areas (upper deck, fore/aft main wing) are modernized for long duration flight, and two galleys are included. The fuel tanks (9) now also involve 3 tanks in the upper center portion of the fuselage in order to put less stress on the wings. The pressure system is modernized to achieve 6,000 feet cabin pressure up to FL470. The internal and external lighting is fully modernized, the former for a pleasing effect and the latter for distinct recognition during flight. Overall, the aircraft does not appear different to the common observer. RAF Manston 1944 Download

File Description:
RAF Manston (ICAO EGMH)was an RAF station in the north-east of Kent, on the Isle of Thanet from 1916 until 1996. The site is now split between a commercial airport Kent International Airport (KIA) and a continuing military use by the Defence Fire Training and Development Centre (DFTDC), following on from a long-standing training facility for RAF firefighters at the Manston base. Source: Wikipedia I have represented it here in 1944 leading up to its part in Operation Market garden and D Day. It was one of the few airfields installed with the Fog Investigation Dispersal Organisation (FIDO) system designed to remove fog from airfields by burning it off with petrol and I have represented this with the 8 fuel tanks at the 29 end of the mail runway. I have laid the station out roughly according to an old map made in the mid 40s but I make no claims to the accuracy of building I have used.
